OEM 12 c 4 recommended Agent patches by doc - id - 1664074.1

Hello

Our OEM is 12 c 4 on linux. Recently, we have applied PSU3. the CMS and the repository. AGent patches remain by doc - 1664074.1.

It is - 1 > Agent's patch was applied only to the Agent that runs on the Server OEM or it should be applied to all officers on monitoring of targets?  Please provide details? Do I need to install on each target agent controlled?  Please let us know of your experience?

Any blog detailed for Agent patch will be appreciated.

2 > I step all the patches of the agent Server OEM to a temporary location and tried automated management Agent Patching - by http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/patching.htm#CHDEBABC - Section - 20.2.4.2 looking for patches in the software library

patch must be sought in the software library.  Agent software patches are not in the default software are not under the software library, they are about the location of the temporary Stadium on Server OEM. How could I think about them in the GUI OEM?

Thank you

Yes, EM to patch using agents is recommended.

http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/patching.htm#EMADM11745

If your system is in offline mode, you will need to download the patches to the software library, first.  You will also need the latest version of o6880880 patch version 11.1.x.x (11.1 is very important - not 11.2 or 12,1).   When you download the patches, you will see an option to download the metadata as well.  You must botht he patch and metadata.

LCM guide is a step by step of the patching offline - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/em.121/e27046/pat_mosem_new.htm#EMLCM11494

Then, the Administrator's guide shows how to find the software library for patches - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/patching.htm#BABBBIBG

  • Parameters of OEM for pre/Post Installation (deployment/patch) Scripts

If all goes well, a simple question.

Install scripts OEM 12 c Supports pre/post in the form of shell scripts that can be run before and after a deployment or patching operation (for example when you deploy the Client OEM to a system, you can run a script before installation or after installation).

These scripts can take a parameter?  Specifically, can the machine which is deployed to be transmitted to these scripts shell as a parameter (for example /opt/my_shell_script.sh HOST % where % HOST would be replaced by the host name being patched or transferred to for example).

To be clear, I don't mean to have a script running ON the area being installed to... I want to use the box being installed in as a parameter of a script running on the Server OEM.

Cannot find any documentation on what or if the parameters are supported in these pre/post installation scripts.

    Any information would be appreciated.

  • The agent patch

I installed the fix for Microsoft Agent in Windows 7, but nothing has changed. Should it go in the C:\ properly by default?

When I opened the downloaded file (http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Microsoft%20Agent/latest/MSAgentWin7x64/200909210200/free/395040_intl_x64_zip.exe), it offers to extract in C:\.  But that's all that...

You don't "open" such a download.

    1. try again once, this time select SAVE AS option & save the download on your desktop.

    2. close all open applications, then...

    3. right click on the file that you saved in #1 above (i.e. 395040_intl_x64_zip.exe) and select run as administrator.

    4. If you are again prompted to extract the contents of the file (for example, extract all), do it, but this time to save the extracted files on your desktop, too.

    5. I suspect that you will then find a new folder named possibly 395040_intl_x64 on your desktop. Inside this folder, you should find an executable file (i.e., EXE) or possibly an installation file (i.e., MSI). This is one you use (run as administrator) to install the MS Agent patch.

  • Agent of the NAC this SSL error

    CAM: 4.5.0 lite

Current Windows clean access Agent Version: 4.5.0.0

Current Windows clean access Agent Patch Version: 4.5.0.0

Agent Macintosh's own access current version: 4.5.0.0

Course Cisco NAC Web Agent Version: 4.5.0

(Clean access windows agent installed on the host (Vista Business) is version 4.5.1.0)

CAS mode: L2 virtual OOB GW

The installation program is in conditions of laboratory for a proof of concept.

The following scenario occurs each time a new authentication is attempted from a vista host running the agent access.

    -------------

I plug the host on the controlled NAC switch port

I get an ip address although my pool of vlan and dhcp auth

Agent of Cisco clean access is displayed on the screen according to the normal

I enter my user and pass and click login

I get a "security alert" pop up indicating "the revocation information of the certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to continue? »

There are 3 buttons to choose: Yes, no, display certificates

I click Yes, but the error message does not disappear,... no matter how many times you click on Yes,... the error remains on the screen, keep you from making the connection.

    If I click on no.

The clean access agent then says "network error!, detail: Certificate SSL REV failed [12057]."

My only option is to click on the "Close" button so I don't

This closes the agent clean access, but the agent instantly appears buck on my screen asking again user them and pass.

I enter the right user and pass and click login

I receive a new security alert pop up stating "this page requires a secure connection which includes server authentication." "The issuer of certificate for this site is unknown or unreliable, making you go?

My click Options, Yes, no, view the certificate or more information

I click on Yes, the security alert disappears and own access now States that I managed to connect to the network.

It refreshes my IP address and puts me in the vlan correct based on the role of my user name.

    -------------

I checked the event logs, all my access attempts are accepted, (on the 2nd try of course), but there is no errors in the cam on this SSL problem.

However, I get a warning red text on the summary page of the cam, which stipulates the following, which I do not know if it has any impact on my problem.

"WARNING: the end-entity certificate issued by"www.perfigo.com"is suitable for laboratory environments only." You must import a certificate of third party entity end for your own Access Manager and own access servers before the Cisco NAC Appliance deployment in a production environment. Please check your own access servers and ensures Clean Access Manager for similar messages.

WARNING: The current "www.perfigo.com" trusted certification authority is suitable for laboratory environments only. Cisco recommends to import a third-party certification authority. Please check your own access servers and ensures Clean Access Manager for similar messages. »

    My questions are,

-Why used the CAA accepts the first authentication attempt?

-How can I remove the first security alert?

-How can I set the CCA so that I login just once without having to click on no and wait for CAA to appear a 2nd time?

    Thank you all

The fundamental problem is that the customer is unable to check the root certificate for your CASE.

I guess that since you have always the perfigo warning that you have not installed a certificate valid on the job. If you did, you must remove the certificate of perfigo. If you install a valid certificate, you must remove the Perfigo cert.

Once you have a valid cert installed, make sure that the client can access the certificate server root of the AUTH VLAN. That should get rid of these two messages.

If you cannot provide access to the certificate server, then you cannot get rid of the second message, but you can get rid of the first message (the one that sticks you in a loop).

This message (the first one) is due because the check certificate revocation in Internet Explorer has been enabled. This option has been disabled by default in XP, but is enabled by default in Vista. The option is disabled in Internet Options > Advanced tab > check the CRL.

  • The hotfix Microsoft Agent - downloaded file is faulty

A MICROSOFT WINDOWS PATCH HAS A DEFECT IN THE PROGRAM

    ************************************************
    SUMMARY/BRIEF ANSWER:
    ************************************************

    It's the Microsoft Agent PATCH

    (Defective file: 395039_intl_i386_zip.exe)

HOTFIX is suggested for Wndows 7 but:

    (1) the work does not correctly; and (2) do not extract properly

The first problem is caused by the incorrect and misleading program asking for a password. This password request appears to be an artifact of programming.

The second problem is confirmed by selecting a place known for the extraction of file: it can easily be confirmed that the file - which is supposed to be self-extracting - does not extract directory/folder location.

NOTE: The deceptively program reports that the files of zip archive was extracted, although, as it is easy to check, this is not the case.

My system is a HP Compaq Presario CQ42, which has Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed.

    ************************************************
    LONG ANSWER: (read optional))
    ************************************************

I downloaded the Microsoft Agent Hotfix from the Microsoft site.

This is the fix that seems faulty - in more ways than one:

    395039_intl_i386_zip.exe

It's supposed to be self-extracting and solve this problem, but it doesn't seem to be mining and requires a password that is not defined. I am the owner and the only user on my laptop and have no trouble installing anything else - if any program wants to make chamges on my Kaspersky 2010 (my internet security program) hard drive request confirmation. (Who did not with this fix, which wasn't even a problem.)

Here is what happened (as noted in my response to feedback from the site in the feedback form page that I came back after that extraction of fix seems to be constantly failing, while at the same time have reported that it had extracted from the zipped file).

MY FEEDBACK SITE CITY TO MICROSOFT RESPONSE:
    __________________________________________________

"I downloaded the fix for Microsoft Agent, but he asked me for a password. I tried to jump and I tried to use my administrator password, and I tried "Empty space" as password - if she says that all the files have been extracted this wasn't the case, I think - Norbert, they were extracted into a directory by default, not the selected one - because, although I tried to do the extraction with the default directory I also did it with an another directory - THE FILES WERE NOT EXTRACTED IN IT!

"Why so the hotfix dialog box saying they were when they were not...". and has been the password requested my password administrator or something I know that Microsoft has left in the hotfix by mistake? »

    POSTSCRIPT:

If the fix installed properly, then he did it in a default directory (C :) regardless of my choice, this rental selection dialog box is so confusing and misleading.) I have no way of knowing if she was installing because I can't extract zip archive in a known directory.

Demand for the password dialog box is also source of confused, and if a password is not necessary so that this dialog box is doing here? And what password he asks? (Apart from requiring a password, this dialog box offers two other options 'ignore' and 'always jump'. I wish that all passwords have been so EASILY OBTAINED [by me at least!] ... apparently, apparently, or did the extraction FAIL - for reasons of security, that could be because the programmer has left a password security Microsoft internal dialog box in the code for the calculation of fix to still hampered by no other in Microsoft while he or she wrote the program for the patch?)

(By the way, I don't know why you make more Agents - one to talk to, maybe - they are so cute!)

    Thank you, Andrew!

I did as you said: I received the password in the email I received.

Then, I downloaded the hotfix file by using the hyperlink providedinthe email to access the patch correct download page. It's simple and straightforward.

It seems to be exactly the same file I had already downloaded that didn't work before (without password).

I used the password to unlock the zipped file.

Two files were extracted from my chosen target (a folder to unzip) directory:

    Hotfix.txt

    and...

    Windows6.1 KB 969168-x 86.msu

I clicked on the .msu file and the patch was then automatically and correctly installed on my computer.

    Thank you

  • Cisco Secure ACS 5.3 SNMP agent does not

    Hello

I have problems with the SNMP on Cisco Secure ACS 5.3 agent (patch level 5) stop, is there a quick way to restart the SNMP daemon via the command line?

    Robert,

I understand where you come, I encountered the following bug:

    CSCte39351

The process of the SNMP agent in demon device ACS stops.

and reboot the box will bring him back to the top and after about 3 days, he'd stop. I just want to see if it's the same bug that could be back in patch 5. The best thing to do at this stage is to plan a quick down and restart the box to see if the snmp process starts again. If this then gives IT a week to see if the snmp Protocol falls down. If it does then make reference to this bug and open a new case of tac for repair. If not, then you should be in the clear.

We had problems on our outdoor Production eSupplier portal and Oracle recommended a patch for WebLogic to WLS WLS 10.3.6.0.0 10.3.6.0.11

Also in Java patch 21494055 had to . We have applied the patches to our DEV server and it seems to be OK, however, it is difficult to test because there is charge of the user very little in DEV.

We are concerned of applying it to the Prod, in case it goes south and wonder if anyone has done this before and who knows if there is a procedure to regularize if it caused problems with Prod because this server is very high profile!

You can go to Weblogic 10.3.6.0.11 safely in the production, I see every day.  There is only one question, you must be aware of which seems to be popping up in environments that are consuming a WebService (WSDL).  I would go ahead and add the workaround solution, because it comes to production and someone will most likely add a url to Web service somewhere:

  • 12.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.2 (uninstalling and reinstalling) migration agents

We have an existing installation of Cloud Control 12.1.0.1 with about 40 deployments agent within our company. Having met a lot of bugs in 12.1.0.1 apparently solved in 12.1.0.2, we plan to upgrade - however, it seems that it is recommended to install a new 12.1.0.2 Cloud Control and migrate the old system to the new officers.

We have installed the new system, but are looking for an effective way migrate existing agents, as the docs of the State Oracle that the officer must be removed from the original 12.1.0.1 system before adding to the 12.1.0.2 new system. You are not sure if Oracle docs are incomplete, because no guidelines for reference by using the cloud to "Remove the target" on the agent (still this feature seems to be) - I'm hoping that as we are able to deploy an agent through clouds we should also be able to remove through the cloud?

If not, is the only way to remove using the runInstaller - uninstall in each home agent within our company? If so, the docs are a bit sparse on the products installed to remove with the graphical installer, do I remove:
    -agent12g1
    -sbin12g1
    -oracle_sysman_xxxxxx_12_1_0_1_0_discovery_Home0 (and all the permutations?)

To add to this, documented backup and restoration measures can be used to move the SGC and the repository to new hosts.

For the recovery of the repository to a new host, see
