  Regarding your request to install the L7680 on Windows 8, I have the solution. Given that the CD is not compatible Windows 8 you can install with this download: HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver.

  This will be just the installer similar from the CD, only specific to WIndows 8.

• I have a HP OfficeJet Pro K550 with a default IP address and I can't access it to change.

  Because the static IP address of the default printer is not in my subnet and my network doesn't have a DHCP server, that I am unable to access the settings, I need to change the IP address that I can use.  I use Windows 7 64 bit and am connected to the printer via the USB port.  I don't know if I got a my network IP address I could type in the address bar and open many more parameters, but I'm not sure how as the default IP address is not on my network.

  I guess that you can not connect to the printer subnet temporarily?  You can disconnect the printer from this subnet temporarily?  You can connect an Ethernet between your PC and the printer cable?

• Question multi-user QuickBooks Pro 2007 with Windows 7 64 bit

  Running Windows 7 Home Premium. I meet a "error-6147, 0 is not a Quickbooks data file or there is a problem with the file" when you try to open a company file hosted on a 32-bit Vista computer. This only happens if the company file is open about hosting computrt. If the Windows 7-based computer opens the file of company first of all, there is no error... and then the host computer can open the file without problem. Hoping someone here has an idea... QB support came in white.

• HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 (CB022A) / Windows Vista 32 bit (printer appears in gibberish)

  I recently replcaed the this printer's magenta ink tank, but the screen has refused to accept it was sufficient ink in there. So I did a system reset, I thought. {The content removed}  However, this resulted in my words of choice display option is most read in English. Get the number of the option but not the word assigned with it. It literally reads like gibberish. I have a suspicion that the printer think that his memory is not for a tawianese or Japanese user but the police these languages stored inside.

Maybe a small possibility exists and believe me I hesitate to inform people that it would be in their best interest to get a new unit, but in this case, it's really my recommendation. At the time where efforts have been spent to find a way to get this device (not to mention the monetary costs) it would be simpler and more efficient to get a unit that could cost less than the price of the repairs.

  When you install the driver, the driver installation tells me to "uninstall L7300.

  I do not have a L7300, and the printer's ethernet, not USB connected.  I unplugged from the wall and ethernet, but can not go past this error message to install the complete driver.

  I understand that they are freshly installed operating system, but in order for me to isolate as a cause as possible, should be done on at least one of the computers.   I use a HP Officejet Pro K550 (STD) as well as a new Acer Veriton PC, equipped of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit O.S.

  For normal printing, up to today, it works well, but they are a couple of days, instead, if I print an image, by selecting the "Gray Scale" - high quality option in the printer properties, everything that fate, causing printed in RED scale!

  If instead, I select 'Gray Scale - only black ink', it prints normally.

  What is going on?

  The cartridges are always at the right level (Black XL just replaced) and even after using the utility Scan Doctor, it seems everything is OK... but this isn't reallly so OK.

  I just bought a HP DM1-3100SA and noticed that it came bundled with Windows 7 32 - Bit Home Pro instead of 64-bit according to the American version (DM1Z?). As far as I can see, the hardware is identical - AMD Fusion E-350, 3 GB, 320 GB drive at 7200 RPM so I see no reason for HP to opt for the operating system 32-bit to the United Kingdom as the E-350 is a 64-bit APU.

  Is it possible to re - install W7 64-bit of the recovery partition or am I stuck with W7 32-bit?

  I guess that there is the option to purchase the retail copy of W7 64 Home Pro, but seems an unnecessary extra cost.

  Of course you must have/buy a valid license, but the laptop key dm1, we can re - use the key provided for Windows7 32 bit.

  Watch you if you clean install Windows7 you won't not the HP tools... the question is if you really need them. But it is STRONGLY recommended to re - install HP Coolsense since it regulates the temperature/fan.

  No problems with Windows Vista 64 bit, recognizing the 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB installed / usable RAM problem / 3 gb. I also checked the following.

  1. I am running windows 7 64 bit, NOT 32 bit, I wouldn't be able to run Adobe After Effects® CS5.5 and Adobe first® Pro CS5.5 elsewise.
  2. the unusable 1 GB of RAM is not used by the operating system, it's hardware reserved
  3. the video card Nvidia GT 130 m 1 GB, shouldn't need that RAM - it certainly didn't on the factory installed Windows he dedicated RAM.
  4. I tried disabling and enabling msconfig - boot - Max memory settings, no option solves the problem.
  5. He has no option of memory in the BIOS settings to disable the cache in memory / memory the occultation.
