OIF / question OAM

I have the internal users who authenticate to OAM to access internal applications.
Some of these internal users will then access Federated Apps where we are the IdP for these sites. Currently my IdP performs authentication to LDAP (same as LDAP OAM server) server.
According to me, which will cause the users authenticate to PDI again when accessing Federated applications because they are already authenticated to OAM. So, I think I IdP for authentication should be OAM and not LDAP. Is this correct?

Fix. If your LDAP and OAM identitystore is the same, I would like to use authentication engine "Oracle Access MAnager" in the OIF to redirect all authentications of OAM. This way you can leverage SSO policies and authorization in OAM. You can do the integration via the mode of authentication or SP. OAM integration guide has more details.

  • The OIF using Enterprise Manager - metadata configuration expiry date

I'm trying to set up the OIF for the integration of the OAM - OIF and talk to our identity provider. We are a customer of Fusion HCM hosted on request.

Here are the steps to go to the screen

Enterprise Manager right click on OIF > Administration > Security and trust > metadata provider > Generate

Currently, the number of days is limited to no more than 120 days. We would replace the metadata of all file 120 days in IdP system. Follow us a process of pretty eloborate for PDI system changes so I wanted to know is there a way to allow metadata to be valid for more than 120 days (say 1 year or 2 years something that most of the other SP's)

We are on OOD hosted implementation of the HCM, so we have full access to the intermediate layer OIF/OIM/OAM, then I'll be okay if you can tell me where the new metadata file is stored so that I can change to be valid for more than 120 days.

    Thank you
    David

The expiration of metadata is not configurable. It is set to 120 days to encourage the suppliers approved SAML periodically check and make sure that their local copy is in harmony with the metadata currently in force for the OIF Service provider. In practice, the change metadata are very rare (server certificate renewal, the endpoint URL changes) and are made with sufficient notice to enable the partners to plan for change.

Please file an ER if your needs dictate that the expiration of metadata be configurable.

  • OUD and ObjectClass mapping Active Directory?

Hello, my company wants strategically use OUD as our product of directory services (currently we use OVD in limited function - for the most part as a proxy for our back-end systems to retrieve attributes).

My question is (and I really hope that I missed narrowly a page in the documentation) OVD, there was a Mapper of objectclass from Active Directory to AD 'user' look like 'inetorgperson' that we use when integrated with products like the OIF and OAM. then in OUD, this same feature is present or is it a completely different approach?  If it is present, where is the documentation and/or how can I do for mapping IDs?

I didn't know anything about it in the documentation plugins integrated to objectclass mapping, so I'm a little worried that we won't get the same functionality as OVD provided for us.

    Hello

There is no fully packed sort of template to map an AD user to InetOrgPerson person available right now.

However, the implemennt building blocks such mapping are available. It's called transformation OUD.

The transformations are described at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E49437_01/admin.111220/e22648/proxy_functionality.htm#A1002261697

  • Integration of OAM (11.1.2.0.0) with the OIF (11.1.1.2.0) and the Protection of resources

Hi Oracle community!  It's my first post here on the forums, so please bear with me.

I have a question about the integration between the IOF, acting as an IdP and OAM as the authentication engine.  I'll start with our Setup and the way we protect resources and then finally to deliver my ultimate question.

    First things first:

We use the OIF 11.1.1.2.0 and OAM 11.1.2.0.0 (looking at upgrading OAM/OIF soon to 11.1.2 patch set 2, so we get full OIF blown in OAM packet and not only the part of MS).

I essentially was self-taught in the integration of the products and did the best that I can.  We have that in the production running the full blown federations now, so that we know that we are doing something good.  I won't say that we have done is the perfect solution, but it is the way in which we understand how products interact and worked at the time.

We have OIF, acting as an IdP (without SP yet), configured to use our OAM authentication search engine.  According to the documentation, we read through, when this configuration occurs, when the IOF receives a request to start the process of Federation (/ fed/PDI/initiatesso? providerid = XXXXXX), she sees the user is not authenticated and will forward to the authentication engine.  In our case, this means that we forwards the request to an internal flow in the OIF (/ fed/user/authnoam11g) which crosses the webgate, then check with OAM, if it is a resource that is protected or not.  In OAM, we defined a resource to protect/fed/user/authnoam11g so she who collects and authenticates the user via the policy regime, etc.  Once that ends, she goes back to the OIF to finish the assertion.

Keep in mind, I'm aware of a lot more of what's going on in the process, but it's the main room that will be the basis of my question.

So than stated above, we have a single policy protected for all federations from the OIF since "out of the box" OIF doesn't have several URL structures that it will send to OAM based on service provider being accessible.  For me, this is a small problem because I want to perform specific authorization controls in OAM based on the providerid who had been requested to the OIF.  OIF, as far as I know, completely removes the URL of origin that was requested and query parameters (for example providerid) which means that I have little or no information of the initial request to any robust condition checks in the policies of the OAM.

My question to the community would be:

Is it possible for the headers of the OIF or query string parameters to be going to OAM via header variables/session variables/etc. and then accessible through licensing of OAM requirements to do solid state audits in order to allow/deny access based on rules?

    A small example:

I am a customer who asks the following Federation on OIF:

    1. https://oifhost/fed/IDP/initiatesso?ProviderID=partnerAlias GOLD https://oifhost/FED/IDP/samlv20 <-the samlv20 would include a request for authentication with the good provider
    2. IOF receives the request and begins creating processes and the SAML assertion.  It is determined that the user is not authenticated, so OIF will forward to the authentication engine.
    3. OIF transmits to the https://oifhost/fed/user/authnoam11g
    4. OAM protects the url "/ fed/user/authnoam11g" to make the authentication/authorization.
    5. The point of authorization, I want to build conditions that are basically looking for the "providerid" in initial demand to run specific rules to allow/deny cons.  Currently, it is not possible that I know, and that's what I want to know.
    6. Once the authentication/authorization, OAM refers the request to the OIF where he finished the SAML flow and sends the statement to MS.

In step 5, I would need a mechanism to find the providerid (value of the header, cookie, session, etc.)

I posted this same question on another blog of Oracle and received a reply that I want to do with the current configuration is not supported.  In order for me to get the desired result, I need to upgrade to patch set 2 of OAM with the fully integrated OIF.

    See response to blog here:

  • Headers with OAM 11 GR 2 PS3 question

    Hello

We are migrating OAM 11 GR 2-OAM 11 GR 2 PS3 from windows to linux. We installed the new configuration of the PS3 and migrated all the OAM configuration details. We have the user profile of authorization policies for applications protected by OAM.

But while testing the SSO with applications, I found below questions

    1. If any attribute is null in LDAP to the user, R2 returns NOT_FOUND. But in the PS3 display headers as null. Enforcement team has a logic based on NOT_FOUND only. It's a lot of changes on the changes of app to check the value of the attribute of null NOT_FOUND. Is there a workaround for this?

    2. we have values multiple attributes for users in LDAP, in R2, these multivalued attribute values are separated by a colon(:), mais dans la PS3, elle est séparée par une virgule.)  I read the doc - id in metalink 1935703.1 , but it allows to change the comma separator. How this can be changed to the colon?

    Enjoy your entries.

    1. that is a very simple change in coding. Any decent programmer should be able to do this fairly easily.

    2. just follow the instruction and where it says ',' replace with ': '.

  • OAM questions EBS

    Hello

I use EBS 12.1.3, I need to use OAM (Oracle Access Manager), the scenario to connect our EBS with Microsoft Active Directory OAM jet, I have a question:

    1. If I do this it means that all users need Microsoft Active Directory ? what happens if I create user does not exist in Microsoft Active Directory?  (how it works in this case of sysadmin).
    2. I can connect as EBS username and password and domain user name and password?
    3. All think about any business module if we opt for this solution as iSupplier? where we create the user name of the provider?
    4. If I have oracle MAF solution connect with EBS, this open solution work list notification URL, in this case no need for username and password?
    5. All account for electronic signature in this case?

    Thank you

    Hi HaniYS,

    My thoughts/personal suggestions are below.

I also suggest you look at the blog of Steven Chan as starting point (it is a great resource with lots of pointers to different areas) - https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/oracle_access_manager_11gr2ps2_certified

    1. If I do this mean that all users need Microsoft Active Directory? What happens if I create user does not exist in Microsoft Active Directory?  (sysadmin how it works in this case).

-Please note that you can have different profiles of configuration according to your needs. For Sysadmin, there is a local user and administrator authentication is processed locally within the EBS. You are going to control this optional profile Applications SSO Login Types and will be the connection by using the url AppsLocalLogin.jsp

    2. I can connect as EBS username and password and domain user name and password?

-My personal opinion is that this is not a suggested means to keep these two avenues open. How more you open, there are several security issues that you need to worry. However, you can define the profile of the SSO Applications Login Types to the user level to achieve this. But you must use different URLS. AppsLocalLogin.jsp will be for local authentication. The Gateway URL will be your domain user access.

    3. all think about any business module if we opt for this solution as iSupplier? where we create the user name of the provider?

-You can implement isupplier and have an external webnode and should be able to configure to manage authentication locally.

    4. If I have oracle MAF solution connect with EBS, this open solution work list notification URL, in this case no need for username and password?

-I suggest you examine Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Apps frequently asked Questions (FAQ) (Doc ID 2064887.1)

    Thank you

  • where are the challenge questions and answers stored in OAM?

    Hello

OAM 10g, where the challenge questions and answers are stored?

What is the best way to migrate the OAM 10 g challenge questions and answers in OIM 11 g?  Is it recommended to migrate or users request to reset the challenge questions and answers in OIM 11 g?

    Thank you

    Khanh

    Hello

As a best practice after the migration of 10g OAM, you can force the user to set the questions and answers of security. The chances of error will be zero in this case.

Also in the years/qus secuirty IOM are stored in table PCQ in encrypted form.

  • Question to redirect the OAM:

I have an OAM redirect question here in a sense that when setting the original url, change the url for the https to http application.

I have a request on https://abc.com on IIS and I am protecting the root. OAM page shows to the top of the Login Page and after that I entered the credentials, I conclude that the redirect has been wanton. Instead of the https://abc.com its preparing to http://abc.com (even on the Login Page OAM, as a query string is see http instead of https) and because the site without SSL isn't open, we get an error.

Is there somehow I can force it to use https only or set this value somewhere OAM 11 G R2?

    Thank you

We use 'ProxySSLHeaderVar IS_SSL' webgate configuration and make sure that you add the "IS_SSL" header in your load balancer configuration as well.

    Hi Sandy,

This may be due to an incorrect structure of your plugin jar file. Check the id of metalink 1373879.1 for a similar question in the oracle support.

  • How we prevent OIF to modify ObAccessClient.xml configure when OAM?

    I'm integrating OIF OAM.
I generated the ObAccessClient.xml using configureAccessGate. noticed that the OAM hostname and port are internal address that not accessible from the OIF, I modified manually to be external address.
However, when I click on "Set up Oracle Access Manager" of the OIF 'Modules for the integration of Service Provider', I noticed the host and port in this file (ObAccessClient.xml) has changed to be the internal address. so, I got connection time-out error when the OIF tries to configure OAM with her internal address.

    However prevent this from happening?

    Thank you

When you configute a AccessGate, you specify the details of an access server so that she can make an initial connection. However, after that, the access server queries the AccessGate configuration information (and access servers it connects to that defined in the access System Console) and sends this information to the AccessGate, which then stores this information in the ObAccessClient.xml file.

This is so that if you make configuration changes to the AccessGate in the Console of the system access, they are returned to the AccessGate who will then use the file at the next startup.

    Kind regards
    Colin

  • Questions, cc .oam animate in Muse cc

    Hello

I import my .oam created with CC animate (e.g. Flash) in Muse, it works very well.
But when I want to control the animation with the 4th tab of the effects scroll Panel, it doesn't work?
With an old file animate .oam of edge, that's ok, but no longer with a file of .oam CC animate. ??

    Any idea?

    THX

    Hello

Unfortunately, there is an expected now with the CC to animate behavior. File of the OAM,

It is only specific. OAM from edge host.

Here is a document scroll effects in Adobe Muse for the animate tab, which talks about EdgeAnimate OAM and not Adobe animate OAM.

However, this can be a new feature request, ask if you please post this request here - ideas for features in Adobe Muse

    Best regards

  • OVD adapter Question using the model ' OAM/ADAM adapter with map.

I'm creating adapter to ADAM using model 'OAM/ADAM adapter with map' in 11.1.1.7.0 using DOHADOVD.

obpasswordhistory, obpasswordexpirydate, obLoginTrycount, and obLockouttime fields are not displayed in TPM. They are present in the ADAM instance.

Any thoughts on how to add these missing fields in TPM?

You must extend the schema of the OVD as well. You can refer to the documentation of production
