• Getting the name of the Action that runs this script

  If I create an action in photoshop to run a script named "test script", how can determine within the "test script" what name of the action started to run this script?  I am writing a script to resize my images.  The scale will be determined by what Action ran this script.

  Action names are 5 x 7, 4 x 6, 8 x 10

  Reproduced above action will run the same script, called "scale me."

  In "scale me ', the java code will determine that 4 x 6 started running" scale me. "

  I don't know of all average direct to determine the name of the action that began a script. You can find the name of the action highlighted / selected with this code.

  But it is not infallible.

  A better solution would be to set up your script to make it recordable action. The details are in the script as "JavaScript"resource guide. It you have that in place any action that registers the script you will store the values used. When the action is played again once you get these the app.playbackParameters calues. Image and layers of export files are two Adobe scripts that use a javascriptresource section.

• Consecutive to the Documetns (Action) new numbering

  About two years ago, I posted this query regarding a possible bug in Photoshop 4.  As christoph pfaffenbich tried very hard to help me, he was unable to provide a solution.  UNFORTUNATELY, the problem still exists in Photoshop CS 5.1.  Here's the strange problem:

  Way back in CS2, I created an action that involves basically a) copy, b) the creation of a new document, paste c) and d color correction). In previous versions of PS, every time I've done this action and he got to the part b) (creation of a new document), the new doc would have a unique name of the previous (row numbering). However in CS4 (and now CS5.1), every new document is given the same name (i.e. "without title-1") who wreaks havoc. Someone knows how to fix this so that I can get my unique to appoint new documents to return?

  NOTE 1: If I manually create new documents, the unique numbering works and consecutive fine. It is only when the new document is created from in an action it does not work.

  NOTE 2: Insert a menu in the FILE-> NEW action item, does not work.

  Once you have copied the selection, make a new 1 x 1 px px document and

  This is because you use Yahoo Webmail and not an e-mail client. You don't say what you're trying to do when you see this message, but maybe it's what you need.

You can download and install the latest version of LR 2 (2.7, 4/2010) free.  But if you want to later versions of Camera Raw, you'll need to buy a new version of LR.

  I went to Edit - Preferences - e-mail accounts - and added a gmail account, but it is always the case!

  I get no such message with AA XI and Win7 (32 bit). It may be a problem with Win 8 or Reader XI. As I said, you might want to ask in the forum reader because it doesn't seem to be a problem with Acrobat XI, unless it is a matter of winning 8.

  The tests are not available on CD/DVD, but you can contact the 8008336687 customer service and ask to buy CDs / DVD for use as a trial. Normally it would cost you around $20USD including taxes

  For the name, I thought in the direction to use the name of the first frame of the stack (or layer) as part of the file name.

  For action, I think it depends on the action and how the script should be used. My tests were piles of images of three images each. Action selects the top layer, reverse, selects the layer below, reverse, selects the layer below, and reverse. So it reverses all layers, because he expects that there will be three layers. I guess you could script runs the action on all layers, but following the workflow that is perhaps not ideal.
