Older versions of Adobe apps remain after upgrading to TCS2

I just upgraded to TCS2. Apparentlthere older versions of Robohelp, Framemaker, Acrobat and perhaps others are always installed on my computer. I do, or can, uninstall these versions, or do I just delete the shortcuts for them to my office and hope for the best?

Thank you.

John,

The old version of FM is authorized to keep around and coexists peacefully with the latest FM9 in TCS2. However, having multiple versions of Acrobat will really mess of things for you. Do not know of RoboHelp, but suspect that should go as well.

You are in for a bit of cleaning up. I recommend you to uninstall both versions TCS (first TCS2) and clean everything flying over the bits Acrobat using scripts CS Clean appropriate (see http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html and http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403995.html for Acrobat 9 or http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html for Acrobat 8). Note: If you have any of the Adobe Creative Suite components installed, the scripts should not remove items.

On some systems to get a clean environment, you may even use the Microsoft software installer cleaning msicuu.exe utility. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Note: Please make sure that disable you the licenses for components before uninstalling.
