  We are implementing EBS 12.1.3 and OLIVIER 7.9.6.4 (on obiee 11.1.1.7.0) and I'm trying to understand a concept based on the integration of SSO between EBS & OLIVIER:

  -For the integration of SSO between EBS & OBIEE to work, I must explicitly create any user to OBIEE, and then map it to a particular user to EBS? Or is there no need to create any explicit user in OBIEE?

  (I couldn't find it mentioned in the documents of EBS & OLIVIER/OBIEE integration that I talked yet)

  What you say is correct. Add to your points

  the user does not need to be already exist in OBIEE, but you create application roles in similar EM for the responsibilities that you have created in EBS. Now, you would be assign responsibilities to users in EBS for example: financial OBIEE will have users ABC, XYZ, so when you create the same Application roles in the EM as EBS you would be assign these roles to application to SA different regarding the names of responsibility EBS eg: financial OBIEE application roles would be related to SA Financials so when the user clicks on that responsibility in EBS to navigate to OBIEE would use the application role in EM and give the user access to finance SA to form analysis. Similarly, you would be assign created in EM to the catalog application roles to access respective dashboards

  Hi all

  Facing a very strange problem in OBIA installation and configuration. I installed OLIVIER 7.9.6.4 on OBIEE 11.1.1.6.9 on windows server 2008. First of all, I chose Financial Analytics app (commercial) to settle, so that I get only the metadata would invite analytics. But after the installation, I see repository OBIEE is containing all other metadata app, as well as Supply Chain, human resources etc. The same is observed for informatica and DAC metadata as well.

  However, when I tried to create tables of data warehouse, it is not created to, I selected under options;

  1. on the Configuration tab, select;

  Generate instructions create for the Tables in the data warehouse

  2. on the tab SQL of DataWarehouse, I select; (I don't see the place to enter into the details of the target schema)

  Container... Vacuum

  Is in Unicode format. Vacuum

  Physical data source... ORA_R1213

  Changing default settings file... He left by default

  3. Click Start

  After he finishes anything will be created in the target database.

  Please help me solve this problem.

  I made a very stupid mistake. The physical data Source that I was selecting must have some parameters like username, Passwored etc of the host to create the tables in the target database. I have to select the Pahysical Data Source in the data warehouse instead of ORA_R1213 and have need to update this connection with DB details where I create the tables.

  I found the solution after the publication of the request on the forum.

  Hi gurus of the Oracle,.
  
  I have installed the following applications. OLIVIER 7.9.6.3
  
  1 OBIEE 11 g (11.1.1.6)
  2 CAD 10.1.3.4.1 (imported repository)
  3 Informatica 9.0.1 (imported repository)
  4 EBS R12
  
  Everything is setup and works very well. Now, I want to connect it.
  EBS is up and running, OBIEE works, but where will find the diagram of DM for OBIEE and I arrived at the database of the EBS. But what else I need to run the initial race in CAD that extracts the Alpha of EBS R12 charge and generates data in OBIEE DM. I don't know if I already have these available in OLIVIER installation scripts. I am little stupid cant figure where they are.

  For the olive TREE to do a data load some things must be configured. You will find in the attached link to make configurations:

  And for the source database, I think that you have followed the installation chapter 4 doc will give you the DM schema and how they can be configured in Informatica and DAC.

• Delete triggers in DAC to the Oracle apps data source

  We use OLIVIER 7.9.6.1 and OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0. data source is Oracle apps 11.5.9.
  
  We had a problem in the report. drillthrough report 6 records where as source has only 4 records. Looks like 2 deleted source records and we have never implemented here delete triggers. I'm new to this project and don't know how to implement for the Oracle apps data source delete triggers. because there is no concept of picture table in oracle apps.
  
  I tried a full load of the fact table, and it is fetching 4 records as expected. so please tell me how to apply delete triggers for the oracle apps data source. explain the process step by step.

  You can follow the same EP and remove the mapping process that are out of the box for your custom tables. Make sure you include a DELETE_FLG on the custom tables and follows the same logic of PE and Delete is used in vanilla maps. You must have a primary key to check the records of if.which have been removed. Once you have the full mappings, you can set the DAC to assocaiated tasks and include them with your execution plans. As Oracle has followed this process, its best to stay w the same strategy.

  Have you used a clearly defined naming convention? Are you sure that you have not any conflict RPD, app-roles and web catalog?

  Of course, in theory you can merge your own content into the OLIVE one (don't do the opposite because OLIVIER is probably bigger than your own content and you would have more chance to break OBIA with a debugging complex to solve by report may break your and you will be able to fix it easily).

  Do not expect to do in half an hour, probably need you some time to make and test things.

• Cannot retrieve OBIEE 12 c 12.2.1 - Sample Application version v511

  Hi all

  I downloaded OBIEE 12 c 12.2.1 - Sample Application version v511 from Samples of OBIEE

  Then, I selected the first .zip file and tried to extract the file.

  During extraction, I am getting errror as END OF UNEXPECTED DATA, and it fails with the error CRC failed.

  I followed the same steps that are mentianed in the Description as well as in the video but no luck.

  I thought that maybe the file is corrupted, but I get the same error even after download 4 th time set application example.

  Browsers, download managers, I changed and I reinstalled 7Zip and Winrar to extract but its extraction do not.

  Using WinRAR, I tried to repair the file and I tried to extract but not luck.

  Please help me solve this problem.

  I think that the last patch of 11.1.1.7 also support IE11 quiet well just in case.

  For OLIVIER, you should check on the matrix of certification if your current version of OLIVIER is already certified with 11.1.1.9, if it is not you take a risk: it does not mean that it does not work, it means that if you have a question just Oracle you say 'sorry, not a certified system. So check this aspect (but if your olive TREE is not too old, it must be ok).
