Before solving a problem, you must first fully and correctly identify WHAT is the problem to be solved.

The following errors are exactly what server process? Dedicated server process? Dispatcher process? Listening process?

Fatal OR connect error 12170.
TNS-12535: TNS:operation expired
NS secondary err code: 12560
NT main err in code: 505

Knowing the server process that threw this error, isolate the problem in the stack on the server s/w side.

Required customer account details:

Customer's address: (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp (PORT =, 60581))(HOST=60.247.119.26))

This means that the IP address of the client used 60.247.119.26 private port 60581 (on the side) to communicate with the local server process (using port 1521).

Points to check are:
-is the server on the same subnet as the client?
-If no, how robust and correct is the routing table?
-l' route goes via one or more firewalls?
-What is the tcp Server ito errors show stats?
-are there mistakes to IPv4 in the newspaper of the kernel for this period?
-the server using full duplex to the local switch?
-How many breaks display a trace route?
-are one of these jumps for the obviously slow client?
etc.

If the problem recurs regularly, then select SQL * Net debugging followed on the side server for client connections. That will provide more detail to isolate and identify the problem.

  • Problem with the receiver of messages in Backgroundlisterner Application user interface Thread

    Hi all

    I have a UI application with earpiece in the background with MessageListener interface and I'm regestering it to receive Notification of incoming text Messages on a particular port.

    But the notifyIncomingMessage() is never called and sms always comes in the Inbox.

    If using port 8855, and

    _mc = (MessageConnection)Connector.open("sms://:8855");
    _mc.setMessageListener (this);

    Detail of my code.

    I have one user interface application with the other point of entry, in the background I register mylistener, so he notifys me message inbound, and then I can launch my application with user interface.

    Code:

    My Application user interface.

    public static void main(String[] args)
        {

            if(args != null && args.length > 0 && args[0].endsWith("gui"))
            {

                MyUiApplication mb = new MyUiApplication();
                mb.enterEventDispatcher();
            }
            else
            {
                //Entered through the alternate application entry point
                    BackgroundListener.waitForSingleton();
            }

        }

    And my bottom Lisnter looks to...

                return(BackgroundListener)obj;
            }
        }

    Can someone please suggest me where I am doing wrong.

    I also saw all the methods for sms listening, with the datagram and messagelistener.

    As this will be contineously run in the background, I thought about MessageListener.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you

  • How to create the listener.ora file

    Hi all

    My emca start dbconsole... successful because I do not have in network/admin listener.ora. My interlocutor only runs on the default config

    I can't run gui netca bacause I connect only remotely using PuTTY.

    I want to run in silent mode netca to create the listener.ora file... can you give me response.file of the sample for netca?

    Thank you

    I meet emca error before and it is just resolved when I created lisnter.ora, so I want to try it.

    I doubt that listener.ora was the cause.

    Although experience is a better teacher.

    No, trying to find the cause of a problem is a better teacher, just try things at random - it's a good way to teach you things like "emctl start dbconsole does not work without a listener.ora", which is clearly false.

    Once start emca

    The command is not 'emca,' maybe that's your problem.

    We don't know, because you have not copied/pasted something here, including the error message
