On the Yoga 460 Thinkpad keyboard problem

Finally got a fix for the problem. I should have google the issue more before posting here. For anyone having this problem, or curious about the fix, here is the link which solved my problem. Apparently, it's a "feature" of most model thinkpad for years.

  • Can I add a new graphics card for the Yoga 12 Thinkpad?

I recently bought the yoga of thinkpad 2nd gen and I was wondering if I could update the graphics card in it. I have a Nvidia card in my last laptop Lenovo I could possibly switch.

Good day and welcome to the community.

There is no way to update the graphics in your machine, because it's a circuit integrated in the chipset CPU package. In addition, the graphics from nVidia in your other laptop Lenovo, while a discrete GPU, are also welded to the system board. Therefore, it is non-removable.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.

  • On the Satellite U50T-A keyboard problem

    I have a U50T.-a Satellite.
Control device (keyboard) shows the following error message:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I tried to solve this problem, but I don't know what to do.

Are you abele to use the USB mouse or the touchpad?

If Yes, then you should be able get the system back to point in time at the beginning.

Restart the computer, go to the area of backup and system restore, then select the save point that has been created in the past.

This restores the system and fix the registry.

I think the keyboard should work after this procedure.

  • On the Satellite L650-19W keyboard problems

    Hello

A very strange and annoying problem developed on my laptop about four days ago. First of all, here's my laptop specs:

    Satellite L650 - 19W
    8 GB RAM (DDR3)
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Intel Core i5 CPU

The problem is that some of the keys also trigger others.
For example, whenever I have reached space I get a 'p' first, followed by a space, exactly the same thing happens when I press 'p '.

Similar results occur with the 'h' and ' 6 ', ' 3' and the '+', the 2 and the ' / ', the 'f' and 4', as well as a few others. The passage of the right hand does not work with all keys and BACKSPACE can not be held down, IE only deletes one character at a time.

I tried to restore to a point in front of what is going on started, as well as the stop, remove the battery and holding down the button start for 60 s, the two nothing helps. I have read similar problems, some people have recommended BIOS update.

I downloaded an update of the BIOS for this computer from Toshiba Web site, but I'm wary to run due to a lot of people say you can ruin your ifp computer you don't know what you are doing, is it true?

Any help would be appreciated, because she makes me crazy! It took half an hour to type this message!

    Hello

I think that there is no other solution than to replace the internal keyboard.
I guess its problem of keyboard internal a simple malfunction what can happen to the keyboards of the domestic.

Have you tried external USB keyboard? Try and test how the unit would be.
I guess it will work properly and the question wouldn t occur in external USB keyboard.

  • Equium A60-692 - cannot open the start menu and keyboard problem

I have a problem starting my laptop A60-692 and I'm not near the points of service.

When I push the power button the screen goes through its startup routine gives her marching band welcome charge to the top of my desk.
But when I click on the start only the start window flashes for a split sec and remains standing. If I press the windows key on the keyboard I can then click on the start and the start window appears on the screen.

However if I open a program like note book or internet explorer, the keyboard will not and only gives a Bell sound when I use the keyboard. If I click Start, then shut down and click on restart the laptop turns off and then restart everything works fine!

It's very boring and tedious. I'struggled with this for a long time, although it was not like that when new.
Everyone had the same problem or have any advice to give?
    I would be very grateful!

    Hello

Believe me it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
I would like to know where the mouse you are using. Use you touch pad s notebook or external mouse?
If you use the s key to laptop please disable it with FN + F9 and test with an external mouse only.

What about the response of the keyboard? You can also try to test with external keyboard only. Only in this way you can see if this issue has something to do with the internal keyboard.
Please do some testing to see if this issues can be related to defective portable equipment.

  • Update of the backlit 4000 dv7 keyboard problem: incorrect keys of Action

I bought a backlit keyboard with an envy 17 and put it in my DV7 4285dx.  It fits great and all (I hit it now), but I didn't connect the diodes to one of the USB ports because the labeled connection keyboard backlight has no power to it.  I tried pressing fn + f5 f5 fn + space and all the other combinations that are supposed to enable/disable the backlight without success, but this isn't really a problem for me.

The problem I have is that all the action key (function keys) are always the same maps as they were on the original keyboard, for example f10 volume upward on the original keyboard and f8 on the new, but it is still f10 which increases the volume on the new.  So I guess my question is how can I change/remap action keys to operate according to their brands.  I know that this was possible on the old series to dv9000 quick launch buttons, so I think it should be possible.

Any help will be appreciated. (I'm not a noob so don't be afraid to be technical if necessary.)

a possible program could be Keytweak.

It allows you to remap the keys. but I don't know if it works with you FN + F keys. It remaps just your whole key. For example if you remap the F6 button instead of the button F8, F8 key becomes the F6 key.

  • For the NSG-MR5U Sony keyboard problems

Hello. My family recently bought the Sony NSZ - GS7 drive and it came with a distance of NSG-MR5U as they all do. I am very pleased with how the player and the interface work themselves, I can't hold the keyboard on the remote but it is very sticky and laggy and sometimes even refuse to type. There will be times when I would be able to type a letter, then the keyboard would freeze and not respond. The fn would also have the same problem. The only solution I have found so far is pulling on the battery and then put back them in. Is this a problem with the remote control, or is it something internal?

I do not understand some of your words.

    • 'stached"--> home?
    • "delwtwd"--> deleted?

Assuming that I got those right, the answer is not much sense yet.  Take a deep breath, take your time and use simple language with common punctuation.  Type slowly.  Your hands are going faster than your mind and makes it hard to follow.  Don't make things worse by getting over excited.  ;-)

What I tell you (based on the original post and now this response), this is your best course of action with your horribly hacked and infected system should all erase and start over - disconnecting the network while you do this to your computer.  If you have a USB and there are some select files/folders you want to have no EXECUTABLE in them - copy those turned off.

You should probably reset each password you have for each account that you have as well – each of them.  Anywhere - Internet, etc.

You may want to also likely reset everything router you might have that connect you to the Internet if there is a custom configuration - as they have probably your router pirate as well - giving them a back door at least in your network.

What you have presented I can assume only you have been scammed.  They have probably used something like VNC or TeamViewer and your willingness to participate to take complete control of everything you have on your computer and possibly connected to your network.

If it is a business network - disconnect your computer it immediately and contact your it Department and let them know what you think.

  • Disabled after the connection hardware Inspiron keyboard

Bought mixed open-box Inspiron 11 3152 with 8.1 Win x 64 installed. Windows Update successfully installed 170 updated and rebooted several times, but now the following problem occurs repeatedly and consistently:

After cold start or restart, I am able to use the physical keyboard to enter the password for the connection and press ENTER.  After this point, the physical keyboard is completely non-functional, while the keyboard touchpad and software will continue to work very well. In addition, even if the keys are not launch related functions or generate text characters in the search box or in Notepad, each button press causes sound response click on speaker, even if nothing else happens.

    I tried the following:

1 keyboard status appears as unlocked and temporary Keyboard Unlock selection or never lock keyboard has no effect.

    2. press the button audible clicks of the speaker go silent when the screen is folded above 200 degrees and the touchpad is also disabled, which indicates that the sensor angle screen seems to work correctly.

    3. this same keyboard problem also happens when the safe boot mode.

    4. the keyboard seems to work normally within the BIOS Setup, or at least with limited keys you can use there as 4 arrow keys, Esc, F10, etc..

    5. the keyboard works as normally in the window command prompt BACK, but only when entered into the Advanced Boot Menu.

    6. I have updated BIOS 1.1.13 and other video update, network, wireless, fast setting, keyboard, touchpad, pilots etc of the Dell website but keyboard problem remains unchanged.

    7. I ran full SupportAssist Dell diagnostics passing and also diagnostics of iolo of third party.

    8. I checked the Windows event logs and found no relevant problems.

    9. I don't have external USB keyboard to try but may need to purchase an additional control.

I'd appreciate any help to solve this or I'll have to return unit. Thank you.

    Chris

Dell technical support via the live chat helped me solve this one as being a known issue with Windows:

The solution is to go to the configuration of PC access, less "make it easier to use the keyboard" and uncheck the box in front of "Turn on filter keys", and then select OK and restart, problem solved!

  • ThinkPad Yoga 260 external monitor problem

    Greetings,

    I bought a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 (Core i7, 8 GB of RAM, Win10 Pro 64-bit, the Type of Machine 20FD) October 18, 2016.

When I connect it to my external monitor Dell U2713H, the screen blackens periodically respectively off and turn it back on after 1-2 seconds. The display works fine with my other 260 Yoga with the same specifications.

The problem occurs when connected via DisplayPort, but also via HDMI. I have all tried, installed upgrading the BIOS, all new drivers, reset the Yoga to the factory settings and tried it again.

Have you any idea what need then try to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

In response to customer reports of flashing or flickering on external monitors connected to Yoga 260 ThinkPad systems via an adapter OneLink + VGA/RJ45 or OneLink + dock, Lenovo has provided a solution for ThinkPad 260 Yoga systems under warranty.

To contact the Lenovo Service, please click here and reference Service TIP SF16-T0080 / HT502248. This solution will require the 260 Yoga be repaired.

    Hello

It's very strange can you check if this keyboard problem happening using an external USB keyboard?

If the USB keyboard works, your problem is related to the fault of the internal keyboard. In this case it must be replaced.

  • The keyboard on the Yoga Pro 2 is the same as that of the 13 Yoga?

Does anyone know if the keyboard on the Yoga Pro 2 is identical to that on the 13 of Yoga? I ask because I need a new space and I would just order it from online suppliers, but so far I have not found any listing of Yoga Pro 2 function keys, only 13 of Yoga. Must match the space Yoga 13 OK? (I'm not in the USA and I don't think it will be easy to get to an authorized service center, so I think it's the best solution for me).

For the record, no, they aren't. The spacebars have the same size, but with different configurations for the Junk below.

  • the feel of the thinkpad keyboard...

    Hi all

I don't know about you guys, but for those who have used a previous version of as the t500 thinkpad or in my case the w700... the keyboard back then was perfect. the sound of the keys was mild and the return of the keys were equal on each key and were not "clicky". For some reason, the new thinkpad as the t510 keyboard has a different feel, and it is not for the better in my opinion. anyone else feel that these new thinkpad keyboards are different? regarding engineers, there are some design with the new thinkpad models changes in the keyboard that made them cheaper? because I think that they feel less expensive now

IIRC, the newest keyboard have been redesigned to be more silent. They felt a little mushier and little deep, but these aren't quantitative measures by an effort.

    Hello

It is indicative of the keyboard layout wrong selected, normally UK vs US.

Click Start, click Control Panel, click on "Date, time, language and Regional Options", "Regional and Language Options".

Select the keyboard layout suitable for your region in the default input language drop-down list, and then click OK.

  • Keyboard problems - Windows 7 RTM on Thinkpad x 301

    Greetings,

The fighting had thereby a few days and haven't seen all the other notes on this subject.

I installed Win 7 (business) RTM about 3 times - both 32 - and 64-bit and is the version gives me a problem with keyboarding. Basically, if I type REALLY SLOW, all right. But whenever I go back to normal typing speed, I'm getting erratic behavior. Sometimes while I'm typing, the cursor will jump to a place earlier in the same line and insert new text from there, or sometimes it jumps to the line next, or worse yet, I use it via Remote Desktop on my primary computer running Outlook, it will send the message in the middle of a sentence. (A bit annoying...!)

It's as if I'm hitting certain types of combination, but I was not able to get fairly constant to understand. It could also perhaps be a sort of full buffer problem after - x-strikes. So here's a question - if you have no job, can you confirm that beta Lenovo drivers you have installed?

I tried a little, and later a clean 64-bit settling without adding anything else yet.

Other keyboard problem and some missing OSD indicators, I like the performance and ease of use. But if I can't get the keyboard works, I'm back to XP...

(Note that I test - I reinstalled XP preload, and kbd was fine - is not material)

    Thanks for all the ideas...

At this point, I REINSTALL ALL the detached (yet pre-release at the time, in late September) did was install drivers and keyboard.  However, I need to agree with poster above - we need Lenovo to specify exactly what drivers are needed and any requirement of installation sequence.   Somehow, I think this is what makes the difference in my case, but I'm still just guess.

but so far, Win7 on my x 301 now works...

    Good luck to all-

    Anthony
