one night scan

I just signed up for Microsoft Security Essentials, and you declare that by default scan you my computer at 02:00 on Sunday. Does this mean I have to leave it on for the day after?

Yes.

The PC must be set to OFF (not out of standby, hibernation or standby) for the scheduled scan and download/install updates.

I can scan my wireless printer unique pages, but for the life of me I can't understand how to scan multiple pages.   I read the other posts on other threads on by clicking on the sign (+) sign to the left of the display after scanning one page, but I don't have a (+) sign to click on.  Someone has this model of printer, that can help me?    Thanks in advance for your help.

In addition, any way to speed up the scanning process?     My old printer could easily scan a 10 page document in time, that it takes to scan a single page.

    @TXXpress

Assuming for now your printer to provide the "Document Scan" and the little "+" feature, you don't have to have the "Preview Scan" selected.

    See:

    Scan_Multiple_Documents-combined

If all else fails, you can try to use a different program to scan multiple pages into a single document.

    Options of the digitization program

I don't have the same printer model - I can't comment properly on scan "slow".

    • In general, the printers to "do a bit of everything" cheaper still not 'all' as well as more expensive printers, a full service.

Other things that could cause a "slower than ideal: sweep

    • Wireless, if they are available and used to connect the printer, may cause slow response - which can be attributed to anything between a bad router and a bad signal for a slow wireless card in the printer or the computer.  The answer "slower than snail" may be caused by the network is too busy with other wireless / network diagram.

Finally, the "so slow I want to die" may be caused by the printing software - programs sometimes even 'good' can develop problems just hanging out on the computer for awhile.  You can remove the program from the printer and then replace it with a new copy of the software service Support full page for the Web site of your printer.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: One side scanning instead of both sides

Whenever we scan with the printer using ADF, ALWAYS scan both sides of the document. We want to scan only ONE side, but we cannot find any setting switching on both sides for only one party to scan. It's very frustrating because whenever we scan, we have the right page and one white. We use Adobe Acrobat and driver scan TWAIN of the model.

Is it possible to set up the printer we want?

    Hi @keyser2015,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you try to do a side scan instead of the two sides, with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 on Windows 10. And I'm happy to help you!

Each scanning program, has their own features. I'm not familiar with the use of Adobe Acrobat, so it is possible the functionality are not available in this particular scanning program. If you need help on the use of Adobe Acrobat, I would say to contact our Support from Adobe, for assistance.

In the meantime, I suggest try using HP Scan instead and see if the option is available on the main screen to choose scan front side. If you have trouble with the HP scanning program, please try our HP print and Scan Doctor, to see if it can automatically solve the problem for you!

Hope this information is useful and thanks for posting!

    Harold, welcome to the forum.

You will need an optical recognition program characters (OCR) to change the text that has been scanned into your computer.  You must ensure that you have installed all the software supplied with the printer.  If there is an OCR software, it will be included.

Here is the Product Specifications page for this.

  • HP photosmart psc2410 xi: replacement for my photosmart 2410 PCS HP printer all in one. with scans of same quality jewelry.

Not of the people selling seem to understand my problem. I would buy another HP product, but it must be one who can make major analyses of jewelry.   HP has an inject to solve this problem? I love your products and prefer to stay with HP if it is possible.

    Hello @Anita_Russell ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are wondering about the quality of scan on newer printers.

    I would like to help.

The HP PC 2410 has optical scan resolution 1200 x 2400 dpi.

Any printer that has this level of resolution should meet your needs.

For example, the ENVY of 4500 a resolution: up to 1200 x 2400 pixels per inch (DPI) optical

We'll find the specs for all printers available on the site Web of HPs.

  • HP Envy 5530: Hp Envy all-in-one no Scan

I tried to look upward from this problem in the world and have not found a solution.

My HP Envy all in a habit of scanning on one of my computers. One is connected wireless and the other is connected via USB.

I run the Print doctor and he always comes up with the same problem. The control of the driver fails. I did as the doctor Print, restarted my computer, followed the steps on the HP site troubleshoot, still nothing.

I tried to scan from the computer, tried the scan on the printer option, nothing.

The fine print option, it's just the scan I have problems with that.

HP printer. called is shot. Must be replaced. Ugh. He was only three months old and it broke. No fault of HP, but still frustrating.

  • 3-in-one printer-scanning of mediocre results

I have the 3-in-one photosmart scanner 7510 and I think the scan is poor flatbedded unless. This never happened with my previous HP scanner. Also my cartridge black lasted less then a month, which I think is very unusual as I rarely print anything long and wordy. Even if the item is on the flat bed and it's a color like gold, it spreads or blurs. In fact, most of my image is blurry.

If you get the smears or blurs when you scan, then you may want to clean the scanning area. I could do this for the ADF Document (CAD) and flat glass. Next to the glass plate (left), there is a small strip of glass that is used to scan/copy of the ADF.

When you do the cleaning be sure to use a soft Lint and a cleaner soft. Do not spray the product directly to the printer, but rather a small amount on the cloth before wiping the glass.

Also, the clarity of a scanned image can be improved by increasing the resolution of the scanning (PPP). Depending on what operating system you have nothing documentation for how to analyze and how to change the settings for scanning.

How to perform a scan: Windows 8
How to perform a scan: Windows 7
How to perform a scan: Vista
How to perform a scan: XP

In Mac OS X scan with the HP software

Each of these documents shows how to change the analysis parameters, such as IPR. I hope this helps!

In addition, this black cartridge you mention, it was the cartridge supplied with the printer or a standard cartridge regular/XL configuration? Please keep in mind that the page yields for a cartridge are just estimates. Print performance varies according to what is printed and the printing settings.
