Photosmart 5510 all-in-one: chromebook, scanning, multiple pages

Several pages on a chromebook scanning is not possible, it seems. I use webscan but installation that only allows you to save a page at a time. I then use PDF love to combine the files, and although it works well there must be an easier way. Is there another brand or model All In ONE that will make a go?

Hello Automec,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are looking for a more easy why scan multiple page. PDF with the 5510 and a Chromebook. The way you do it is the best, because the Chromebook isn't any software which can be installed for the printer. Here I had a way, but if you find one, let me know.

Finally solved the problem. Had an old Pentium 3 machine around the pose and decided to try to change the disk hard on and see if I could install the printer with a different material.

It turns out that the mup.sys file, which has something to do with PnP devices, has been damaged and Windows wouldn't start in the other Tower. Then, I took out the HARD drive and put it back in the Dell can reformat Windows XP and guess what, printer installed without a hitch the first time I tried! • HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one Seri: scanning multipe pages in a document file

I'm trying to scan multiple pages in a document file. I am currently using Windows 10. What are the steps to do this successfully.

    Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

To use the Scan software on your printer, you will need to download and install the printer driver.

We recommend that you download the full features and it can be found here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-4500-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304875/model/5304876#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

Once you have installed the software, you can click the icon for the printer on the desktop and it will bring up the HP Printer Wizard and you can use the Scan software.

You will first need to scan more than one page, select "Save as PDF".

Once you've scanned the first page, in order to scan several pages, you will need to click on 'Add page' (as shown)

When you are finished, you can save the document.

Here are several videos giving you good advice on digitization (printers in the videos are using the same software to Scan as your HP Envy 4500)

  • Photosmart C6188 all-in-one not scan on the mac with OS 10.6.1

I just bought a new mac with snow leopard and incapable of having the C6188 HP photosmart all in one analysis images on mac.

I made the mistake of installing the original software which is come with the printer, and then discovered that it does not get. So I uninstalled the software and performed an update to the Apple software.

I tried according to your publications/announcement about the leopard snow, preferably using system preferences and applications of image capture.  I can print all right, but unable to scan images on mac.  I get the error message is ' year error occurred while communicating with the scanner.  It's the same message that I get from all three applications (preferably, preferences system and capture image).

A big thank you to all who can help...

I'm glad it's working for you now.  Multiple page in one file is a driver problem.  Sorry, you will need to wait for an update.

In the meantime, it is very easy to combine pages in a file (pdf) with preview.

  • New black cartridge does not print - Photosmart 5510 all-in-One

I replaced all my ink cartridges when they ran.  The black cartridge is printing not and cannot even print alignment test page to align my new cartridges.  They are HP cartridges I bought and now after all cleaning procedures, I have now exhausted all new cartridges.  My warranty is exceeded, even if I have not received the new printer last Christmas, but my family he registered in August when they bought it for me.  I'm going to buy new cartridges, but I fear that I will lose more money that this problem will not be solved.  Someone help.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleaned print heads, tried to align the cartridges but error message appears then all new Board would be good.  Thank you

    Hello Cath,

I'm really sorry to hear about your Photosmart 5510 aligning properly and not printing in black ink. I understand that you have tried to align the printer and it has not solved the problem. I want to help you and make you my best to do it!

At this point, I do not pretend to try new cartridges (especially black) and trying to do the alignment again. I found a useful troubleshooting guide following which solves the problem, I hope.

Here's the guide I recommend following step by step:

A "alignment failed" Error Message appears on the printer

    * Tip - make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet.

Please do not hesitate to post your results here and I will help you further if necessary.

    Take care

  • Can not stop "auto crop" documents, scan on my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one

I use a HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one to scan documents.   My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.   I have used this configuration since January 2012 and my problem has just started in the last 30 days.  I did not any changes to the system except for the automatic updates of Windows coming out.

I unchecked the box "automatically Crop scanned Documents" in the Advanced Document settings, but as soon as I scanned a page, the checkbox appears in the box again (in itself!) and it will automatically crop a bad document.

No idea why this is happening and what I can do about it?

    Thanks for your help.

Not really sure what caused it, but looks like the setting has glitched somewhere along the way and will be set when past.  Try unintalling to reinstall a new download.  Let me know what happens.

  • 5514 photosmart e-all-in-one: scan multiple pages into a single PDF document?

How can I scan multiple pages into a single multi-page PDF file?
I saw posted similar questions, but I have not found all the right answers. The Council alone that I saw was to scan each page in a separate PDF document, then merge them into a single PDF using third party software.
Of course, I don't want to do.
I can't believe that there's really no way to do it using the existing HP printing/scanning utilities provided with the hardware.
My printer/scanner is the "HP Photosmart 5514 e-All-in-One Printer - B111h", and I am running Vista (64 bit) on a HP Pavilion laptop.

    Hello

The HP scanning software (start > programs > HP > Photosmart HP 5510 series > HP Scan) select PDF and make sure that the resolution is 300 dpi or less.

Make sure the option Show Scan preview is checked, and click Scan.

Once the first page of scanning is finished, place the next page on the window and click on the button "+" under the scan preview...

Once you are done click Save.

Is it possible to scan a page one / several pages in a single file scanjob/one on the flat of my HP Officejet 5510 printer all-in-one?

I did do some additional research on the internet and found the HP scan and capture the app. Although my HP Officejet 5510 all-in-one did not appear in the list of devices, I installed the app, and it has provided a solution for my problem: scanning multiple pages in a job file. Banhien suggested to click on the + sign, but the drivers, I had do not have one, but the HP scan and capture app has this feature. It's so nice. My problem is solved.
