Online upgrade Windows 7 [home basics] to [ultimate] version of windows 7 or Windows 8. but not Windows 10.

Dear Sir, I have only 1 laptop with the original copy of Windows 7 - [Home Basic version]. This version is very slow, I took the trouble of that, so I want to upgrade to windows 7-[ultimate, proffesional] 8 version of Windows or by online (such as the upgrade of windows 10). But not strictly Windows 10.

  • Problems upgrading from Vista Home Basic to Vista Ultimate.

I have a Dell pc came with Vista Home Basic (currently the SP2). I bought (the store) DVD Vista Ultimate Upgrade (SP1). I tried to do an UPGRADE, I prefer NOT to do a fresh install, and he says the upgrade (part) has been disabled and I need to upgrade to a version of Windows that is more recent than the version that I am running. I thought that Vista Ultimate IS an UPGRADE to Vista Home Basic? Both are 32-bit. Any thoughts? (FYI... I don't want to upgrade to Windows 7 at the moment).

    Hello

Your problem is with the Service Pack level; not the version of Vista.

The installed operating system has SP2 installed, but the upgrade disc does that SP1 is installed.

That's why you get this message because SP2 is a newer version than SP1.

Uninstall SP2 > do the upgrade for Ultimate > reinstall SP2

  • Why don't you upgrade from Vista home basic or premium 7 Professional, but you can at Ultimate Ultimate has the same features but also some?

I wonder why the limitation of the upgrade to Windows 7, but the ability to upgrade to Ultimate from Vista Home.  Is it simply to get people to pay more for the programs as Ultimate contains the same features as the professional, or am I misunderstood features of the upgrade to Ultimate?

Because Windows 7 Professional and Windows Vista Home Basic do not share the same basic architecture with respect to features.

Windows Vista Home Basic doesn't have many main basic Windows 7 Home Edition network such as Domain Join, backup features, other features such as group policy and network encryption.

If you want to upgrade to Windows 7 while preserving your personal files, settings and installed applications, you will need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate.

  • Upgrade to Vista Home Premium Vista Ultimate

I got the Vista ultimate RED version, and when I try to upgrade my Vista Home Premium it only allows me to do a "Clean" installation I don't want to have to re - install all my programs. Is there a way I could activate the upgrade option?

Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the disk to upgrade to a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have installed.

How can I switch to Home Premium without the disc to upgrade the only version upgrade, that I bought before. I don't know if the home premium upgrade came with a disk or not, but I have the basic disk home & product key and the product key for Home premium.

    Hello

If you have purchased an upgrade of Vista Home premium, you must know how and who you bought

as long as you do not say where you bought upgrade contact disc where you bought the disc to upgrade to and request a replacement

    You can try this:

borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • virtual xp to windows7 home Basic 64-bit version

want to download virtual xp on my windows7 home basic edition, but this version is not in the details of the system version... Please provide help for me to download virtual xp for my Home Basic edition?

I'm sorry, but the Windows XP Mode virtual PC is not available for your system.  It requires a computer with Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate edition.

Here are two ways to run a PC virtual Windows XP on your computer:

    1. upgrade your computer to Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate using Windows Anytime Upgrade.

2 install the free program of Sun VirtualBox , buy a copy of Windows XP and install it using VirtualBox.

  • How can I do an update instead of a new installation if you are using Windows Anytime Upgrade from Vista Home Premium, Vista Ultimate?

I have a server at home, but one of my main computers cannot remotely access because it is running Vista Home Premium.  As a result, I bought a Pack anytime upgrade to upgrade to Vista Ultimate.
When I ran the installer, it downloaded updates to update and then opens a screen where the options are updated or install fresh.  However, the update option is grayed out and there is a message at the bottom of the screen saying that if I want I must must upgrade to a newer version of Windows.
A new facility is out of the question for me.  I'm almost 2 years of work on the machine and it is set as I want.  I have a few training licenses, I don't think I'd be able to reinstall it.  Besides, I don't want to spend days and days software and reconfigure my system.
I have a Windows 7 Ultimate machine, but I want to leave this machine as a Vista machine.  At I throw my money on the upgrade pack or is there someway around this problem?
