  I really hope someone can help with this. I googled to death for two days and found nothing. I'm at my wits end. I installed CF8 on Windows XP Pro on IIS5.1 with several sites. I am also using Flex 3. I'm trying to get a simple helloworld application to work with a flash remoting CFCs. When I run it, in the error dialog box, I get this error include:

  I tried to connect to http://localhost/flex2gateway/ via the browser and I get a page not found message. Note that I had to change the root directory in IIS to point to my new site, so it is no longer the default site. If I change back to the default, I find this file. I can't understand for the life of me how to get this url to work in the new site? I also tried to add the JRunScripts virtual directory in my new site like this proposed site and he can still find it.

  Hallefrickinglujah! I finally got to work. I'll post the answer hear to help someone in the future. For sites you create AFTER installing CF8, you must create the JRunScripts virtual directory as described in this article: http://www.frenches.com/blog/index.cfm/2007/5/7/Flex-Coldfusion--Dont-make-me-have-to-sepa rate - you two

  Make sure you just after you create it, you go into IIS and give permissions on Scripts and executables - run it is a drop down in the properties of the virtual directory dialog box. Good luck!

  So an application I have puffiness worked for a few years with CF8 and Flex. It assigns tasks, appointmnts, rest, holiday of our operators. Operators open the app on their laptop or PC available. But we believe that this system is a little old and slow and we think that it needs more interaction with operators.

  An example of what we need. It would be nice if the operator can notify the application of changes in real time, so that another operator can be shipped for the backup. Operators also want their own space and communication channels.

  We want to make the system easier to use. If possible using Coldfusion only. With Ajax? I don't know if this is possible. Any ideas?

  In theory, almost everything you have done in Flex must be achievable using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript and ColdFusion.  The performance gap between the integration of Flex/ColdFusion and JavaScript (AJAX) / ColdFusion is not nearly as wide as it was at the time when ColdFusion 8 is out.  Having said that, without knowing exactly what Flex functions you use it is difficult to answer with certainty.

  The ColdFusion upgrade to the current version (version 11) is expected to provide a performance increase.

I understand how the if I want to just use it in flex, but I also want it compiles down into a swf or what so I can use the features in flash. I tried to create a library of action scripts, but it forces me to specify one "application executable file." which doesn't make much sense, since I want just a class library.

  Found the answer (sort of). It is only partially possible. The best way would be just to edit files in flex builder and not creating a real library (although this approach does not work if you need to distribute the library).

  To create a library, you must create a Flex library with flex builder project, not a library of action scripts. the action script library is a misnomer.

  Then, when you build you must pass through some obstacles to get it actually works, but create a manifest file and setting 'Informati-digest = false' as an option to the compiler. For more information, see the following blog:

  Could check you whether YouTube is to serve its HTML5 player or the player based on Flash? If you right click on the drive, short a context menu should appear. If the full Firefox context menu is displayed, press and release the ALT key to erase that. The last line of the menu short usually indicates which player he is.

I've published my Movie Maker presentation.  It will be presented via a laptop computer and projected.  First of all, what kind of cd/dvd I need?  I know that this information is listed under the HELP section of the Movie Maker program, but what do you propose to help?  AND THEN... How can I do to burn video on cd?  I got to the question re: given dvd vs dvd-video and was confused (sorry... it doesn't take much!).  In my mind, it's a video, but the explanation stated that in this format must then be read via a dvd player.  Finally it can be read that way and it would be nice to have this option, but my goal is now to have played through a computer laptop and projected.  I tried to save it as a video dvd last night, but after almost two hours of "transformation" (my video completed is approximately 3-1/2 minutes), I eventually escape and stop.  Can you guide me through this in simple terms?  Thank you!

  This problem could be due to corruption of the system files, I suggest you try to perform auto repair using Windows 8 disc of Windows recovery environment (WinRE) and check if it helps.

  To run auto repair on follow computer Windows 8 as follows:

  a. Insert the media (USB or DVD) and restart your computer.

  b. press on the key F12 (usually it's F12, but it may differ between computer manufacturers) and choose the drive in which you inserted into the installation media.

  c. once the Windows Setup window appears, follow these steps:

  d. click Next and select repair your computer.

  e. you will see an option to choose and then a blue screen. Choose the troubleshooting option and select advanced options.

  f. you can choose automatic repair of the advanced boot option.

  I tried all recovery options and reset options proposed in the Windows 8 Pro DVD. I tried to install the new copy of windows 8, but still, I get the same error.

  Now the hard drive is empty with no BONE in there. But yet when I try to install 'Windows 8 Pro' is a short walk, and after that start the same error mentioned above.

  Is - this hardware problem? or incompatibility problem?

  In my case, a hardware problem blocks the installation of any form of windows (windows 7 or windows 8). Yet once, I gave my laptop to the manufacturer to correct the hardware problem (motherboard problem). This time they say «it could be a CPU problem» I'm waiting to listen to their share of the final solution.

  Once again thank you for your suggestion. Implement these if the people of Lenovo does not solve my problem.

  You are trying to make progressive SD images in clips HD interlaced with a 24 p dv codec (not possible where the error but do not know what it says exactly)
