Open Acrobat Pro XI on desktop

I am trying to open Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my desktop and it requires a serial number of my existing version which was more Premium 5.5. It does not accept the existing serial number. Can anyone help?

Ask the previous version number means you have a version upgrade.  If you look at the products that qualify for an upgrade purchase/installation, Suite Premium 5.5 is not eligible.

Even if the Premium Suite 5.5 contains Acrobat X Pro, which does not mean that it qualifies as historically it has usually not an option for the improvement of individual product Suites.  But you might be able to get special attention if you contact Adobe directly and ask.

  • You have Acrobat Pro as a desktop solution?

    I want to know if Acrobat Pro is different from XI. I want to scan and convert the image to pdf format.

    but want a desktop version and not the cloud storage.

    @

    Hi svittala,

    The latest version of Acrobat Pro's XI, so that they are the same. Acrobat Pro runs on the desktop, but can be purchased either as a subscription where you pay on a monthly basis or as a perpetual license, where buy you it outright. Regardless of how you choose to pay, you get the same software. See price | Adobe Acrobat XI

    If you are wanting to scan to PDF, Acrobat (as opposed to Acrobat.com online services) is the way to go.

    Best,

    Sara

  • Installation of Acrobat Pro on 2 desktops

    The license agreement allows you to install Acrobat Pro 11 on two computers belonged to the same person (a home) and the other at work, or do you need 2 licensed copies?

    Yes, it is allowed provided it is not used at the same time.  Please check the EULA - section 2.1.3 Portable or home computer use

  • With the help of VBA - check to see if Acrobat Pro is open on the computer of the users

    Hi all. I have an access request that generates a lot of single page PDF reports in a folder on the user's computer, then when it's over, it combines all files in a single pdf file on the desktop of users. If the user has left open Acrobat Pro before it begins to run reports, when it starts to try to combine the files, he will receive an error message.

    I would check if Adobe Acrobat Pro is open from the beginning of the routine, so that the user doesn't have to spend as much time regenerating reports yet. I was not able to find the VBA code that will do this. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    David

    Hello test screen name. I do catch the error and generate a friendly error message to ask the user to close Adobe Acrobat. The problem is, according to the criteria they choose for the report, it might take 5-10 minutes before you still see this error because of the hundreds of individual reports pdf it takes to generate. It is not until my code is ready to combine these pdf files they see the message. So, it is not really an error of execution, so to speak.

    But, I found the answer to my question and I wanted to share with everyone. The answers are found here:

    API: Whether an application is running

    API: Get the class name of a running application

    What I did, is to paste all of the code in these 2 pages in a new module of access. Then I made sure that Adobe Acrobat is loaded on my machine. I ran the fEnumWindows() void and it printed all my open programs class names. I got the class name for Adobe Acrobat, which is AcrobatSDIWindow. Then, I modified the select case statement in the following function, to include the Acrobat of the string and the name of the class:

    [code]

    Function fIsAppRunning (ByVal strAppName As String _

    Optional FActivate As Boolean) As Boolean

    Dim lngH As Long, strClassName As String

    Dim GNLX As Long, lngTmp As Long

    Const WM_USER = 1024

    On Local Error GoTo fIsAppRunning_Err

    fIsAppRunning = False

    Select Case LCase$ (strAppName)

    Case "excel": strClassName = "XLMain".

    Case "word": strClassName = "OpusApp".

    'Access' box: strClassName = 'Omain '.

    Case "powerpoint95": strClassName = "PP7FrameClass.

    Case "powerpoint97": strClassName = "PP97FrameClass.

    Case 'Notepad': strClassName = "Notepad".

    Case 'acrobat': strClassName = "AcrobatSDIWindow."

    Case "wordpad": strClassName = "WordPadClass."

    Case Else: strClassName = vbNullString

    Select end

    If strClassName = "" then

    lngH = apiFindWindow (vbNullString, strAppName)

    On the other

    lngH = apiFindWindow (strClassName, vbNullString)

    End If

    If lngH <> 0 Then

    apiSendMessage lngH WM_USER + 18, 0, 0

    GNLX = apiIsIconic (lngH)

    If GNLX <> 0 Then

    lngTmp = apiShowWindow (lngH, SW_SHOWNORMAL)

    End If

    If fActivate then

    lngTmp = apiSetForegroundWindow (lngH)

    End If

    fIsAppRunning = True

    End If

    fIsAppRunning_Exit:

    Exit Function

    fIsAppRunning_Err:

    fIsAppRunning = False

    CV fIsAppRunning_Exit

    End Function

    [/ code]

    Now I can just send 'acrobat' this function to see if the application is open.

    Sincerely,

    David

  • I bought acrobat pro a few years before and more recently at the opening of the app, I had an "unauthorized" on my screen. What is everything?

    Adobe told us the following. That people sometimes sell authentic product, they are not allowed to sell. For example, they buy a commercial license for 100 users, but then sell them as separate products. Also sometimes it consist of numbers by a secret method. They use all sorts of tricks. Subsequently, Adobe reported that the licenses were sold unauthorized. What can do? Of course, they block this license for which they were not paid. This leaves the buyer who has been scammed, in a hard place. But unfortunately it is the case that if you buy something stolen, even after many years, you can lose it without refund.

    If you have purchased from a reputable provider, please contact them on this subject. If you bought on eBay, you can expect this kind of thing.

    Here's what they say:

    Acrobat Pro comes with applications for desktop and mobile, so you can work with PDF files at the office or on the road. Each application is connected to the Adobe Document cloud so you can access your recent files from anywhere. Don't forget to download Acrobat Pro on your desktop and install Acrobat on your favorite mobile devices.

    If you have already downloaded Acrobat Pro DC on your desktop, you don't need to install it again. However, we recommend that you save this email in case you should reinstall Acrobat in the future.

  • The default value of pdf Acrobat Pro

    Is there a way to put Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro as the default pdf program?  I "put" by default in all available places - file associations, right-click when opening a pdf file and select 'open with', etc., but the system always comes back to Adobe Reader or reader Windows 8 Metro.  These programs do not have the functions that I use when working with pdf documents.  'Reader' programs are not for the people who work with pdf files.   So I either open Acrobat Pro and then open the document in the program, or right click and select 'Open with' every time I open a document.    Is there any solution for this?  Thank you.

    Hello

    It seems that there is a problem when Adobe reader and Adobe Acrobat are installed on the same computer.  I suggest you try the steps mentioned in this article:

  • How can I reinstall Acrobat Pro XI on a new computer?

    I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my new computer (who want to move the product from my old computer to my new). After installation, when I opened Acrobat Pro XI I get this message "serial number is valid, but calling it a product could not be found." I am sure that I am using the correct serial number, but why is the new facility not to recognize Pro XI?

    your xi is an upgrade from one version to the other.

    After you have entered your serial number xi, Setup checks your computer for an earlier version.  lack of find an it should invite you to select your previous version (9 or X, for example) in a drop-down list.  After you select the previous version, you will be asked to enter the serial number of the previous version.

    Enter the correct number at the right time and proceed with the installation.
