After you have deployed successfully, I open the web page and click the link to open excel file, I save the file and open it, but when you open the file then dialogue "enter a value for the root of the Web application. "For example," http://localhost:1234 / MyApp "' open. I entered web path and then click OK.
But I don't want this dialog, I want to run in test mode, no dialogue.

Please help me

Hello

To avoid this dialog box, you must use the HTTP of Excel filter. See:

http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E12839_01/Web.1111/e10139/ap_deploy_desc.htm#BABCDABF

If this is not feasible, see the administration tool:

http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E12839_01/Web.1111/e10139/ap_desk_conv_util.htm#CHDGGBAJ

Let us know how it goes.

  • Slow opening Excel file with MACRO and links from network on the Desktop view file server compare to physical PC

    Hi guys,.

    It's a weird thing.

I just encountered a very strange problem when you open one of the excel files located on a Linux Samba Shared running file server.

My laptop physics has a Dual Core 2 Duo 2.27 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.

My Desktop view has 2 vCPU (UC from host to 2.99 GHz/Core with base 16), 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Note: The Desktop view is located on the FusionIO card locally on the server, so it is lightning fast.

When I open excel file from my physical office, need you 3 seconds to open and 5 seconds to enable the content (because it is a big xls file with a bunch of MACRO and LINKS to a different worksheet)

When I opened that same excel view Desktop file, it takes you 18 seconds to open and 1 minute to activate the content.

Anyone happened to have the same problem with their environment to experience?

Do you mind sharing some tips to solve this?

Finally, be able to locate the problem.

It was Sophos EndPoint AV for vShield that I deployed for assessment.

Once I turned off politics, everything is back to normal.

Couldn't believe that via vShield endpoint was causing all this because I tried Symantec and BitDefender for vShield before and no problem at all.

    Well.

I hope that Sophos or VMware vShield team has a solution for me.

    Nice day!

  • The download window - behavior on the selection of the Excel window open excel files

Imagine that you are working on an Excel file. You have completed and saved. You leave open and want to download it via Firefox - whether for a portal, or to send an email or anything else.
As soon as any Excel file is selected in the window of the Explorer/upload (be it by single click or highlighting by the arrows), Excel window is set up to forward - as if I had clicked on the icon in the taskbar.

I can't make pile or face of this - it seems to be only Excel.
It's pretty frustrating in itself and especially when needing to download several Excel files.

    Any ideas?

    Guigs2, you understand.

COR - el, Yes, it happens only when Excel is already running. He does not Excel if Excel is not running.

Update: now it no longer. I have no idea what has changed. I have probably quit Firefox, I killed all the process of Excel running, or just rebooted.

I uninstalled the Flash plugins and installed the latest version.
If the problem occurs again, I will try it in safe mode.

  • Date format changes when you put an Excel file in Indesign

I have an Excel sheet with the date format DD-MM-YYYY.

I need to put this Excel file in Indesign - and the link, so I can update the Excel sheet and put it auto updated in Indesign.

So I put my file management preferences to "create links when placing text years Spreadsheeet Files", go to file > Place and choose my Excel sheet. In the import option, I don't see any option to keep the date format. But when I look at the table in Indesign changed the date format DD/MM/YYYY.

The same thing happens if I chose 'To format table' or 'Unofrmatted'. That if I copy and paste the table actually the show dates above right. But it's not a solution for me, since I need the linked Excel file!

So, do I did wrong? Is there some settings in Indesign to preserve the format of Excel date instead of change?

I use the Mac version and I get different results with the 2011 and older versions. I tested the top down and the values are different. On windows, MS Office is better, so I often work on Mac, but change to Windows, then save again with a new file name, and use it. But not everyone has this opportunity.

With Excel on Mac is a huge problem that. and exchanged everwhere in its German version. It's ok in numbers, as German and English exchanged. and,

But with the files exported as CSV, it becomes a huge problem, because Excel separates files CSV Comma, but pointed, and no other application (and neither itsself Excel) will read these files correctly. Excel on Mac is so good for the calculation, but if you go information in another application it is a mess.

  • ORA-28500 when you access an Excel file

    Hello

I'm getting the dreaded ORA-28500 "optional not implemented" when you try to access an Excel file via ODBC HS. This is a bug in 11.1.0.6 (6701400), however my flavor is 11.1.0.7 fully patched. Because I'm trying to use the OLAP on Windows XP 32, I installed version 11.1.0.6 and applied the patches 6890831 and 7682184, as recommend it on [this page | http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/olap/collateral/olap_certification.html], without as far as I can tell error. This should have fixed the problem with dg4odbc according to the bug page, but when now trying to access an Excel spreadsheet I get the exact same message:
    SQL> select * from "International$"@refdata;
    select * from "International$"@refdata
                  *
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver]Optional feature not implemented
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from REFDATA
Is it possible that the patch do not go as planned? Or the second patch to restore the old behavior? I am really lost at what to do now.

    Thanks for your help,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

The problem is really fixed in 11.1.0.7 However you must change this setting:
    HS_FDS_SUPPORT_STATISTICS = FALSE

11.1.0.6, the default value of HS_FDS_SUPPORT_STATISTICS is set to 'TRUE '.
even if the trace files see the value is set to "FALSE".
In 11.1.0.7 is always 'TRUE' by default, but the trace files now show that
    value.
Use DG4ODBC with Excel, requires that the value "false".

    I hope this helps you

    Kind regards

  • cannot open excel file 2009

    Hello

Recently, I upgraded my machine to LabVIEW 2009.  I had already created a file of sequence that were running on LabVIEW 8.5.

However when I run on LabVIEW 2009, it fails to open an excel template that I use to store the results.  In fact I can't open an excel worksheet by using the standard vi.

What seems to be the case, is that once the progresses of VI to the Subvi Excel_Open_Workbook.vi error occurs.  The error occurs after the node to invoke, see image attached and appears as follows

Error-2147352573 to the Member not found.
    in NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Excel_Open_Workbook.vi-> NI_Excel.lvclass:new report subVI.vi-> NI_report.lvclass:New Report.vi-> demo.vi

This error code is not set. No one has provided a description for this code, or you could have wired a number which is not an admission of error code error code.

Anyone know how I can fix this error? Is it possible to reinstall maybe the generation VI excel? Is this a known issue with labVIEW 2009?

    Hi SeanJ

What version of the report generation tool do you use?  The latest version (1.1.4) requires the use of Microsoft Office 2007/2003/XP according to the Readme.  This seems to be one of the limitations associated with the earlier version of Excel. You have a Toolkit of Gen report incompatible with the version of Mircosoft office you use. Make sure that the version you have is compatible with Excel.

After installing the system of development of LV on your computer, the problem could be that some methods of ActiveX have been disconnected. If you re - point nodes to call the appropriate ActiveX methods, this should solve your problem.

myTextFrame is not defined in your script.

    It works for me:

    myTextFrame = app.selection[0];
    var myExcelFile = new File ("~/Documents/idml/some file.xlsx");
    myTextFrame.place (myExcelFile);

-When I select a text block, of course.

To debug this, you can remove the try... catch statements because they're actually hiding the error now: InDesign can place the file, but the variable does not exist.

Thankfully, I fell it many times before.

  • Problem with cfspreadsheet and excel files

    Hello

I have a request from a client to generate a worksheet excel from a query. I have the query expel the fields and I can generate the Excel without a hitch. The problem comes when the customer takes excel file and then tries to handle it. The majority of the distress comes from fields that must be marked as currency or dates. I am, with a few combat capable of generating a 'real' date field Before this Excel was not correctly sort dates.

I was able to call an excel formula using this:

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellFormula (, "DATEVALUE (#Chr (34) #Replacement_ETD ##Chr (34) #)", therow, 9) >

Date value Force Excel to recognize him as a real date field. However, this fails when this file is manipulated by excel. The next problem is the currency field. I can't get excel to recognize it as a currency. It's always personal. When it is set, the SUM function will not work in excel. You can add the fields individually as A1 + B1 + C1 = TOTAL. This will not help when there are 200 lines.

I was able to get a suggestion from an other CF developer who has had a similar situation. He generated the first with the appropriate items excel file and set the columns to their fields such as date and currency, etc.

The next step would be to fill the rank by rank, and they must be properly formatted.

    Code:

    ("< cfset expandPath("./reports/arrivals.xlsx = filename ") >

    < cfspreadsheet action = "read" src = "#filename #" name = "s" >

    < cfset therow = 0 >

    < cfoutput query = "myExcel" StartRowOptional = "1" >

    < cfset therow = myExcel.currentrow + 1 >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (holders, s, therow, 1) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Section, therow, 2) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Position_Number, therow, 3) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Position_Title, therow, 4) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Incumbent_Emplyment_Type, therow, 5) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Incumbent_ETD, therow, 6) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Tour_Comments, therow, 7) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, replacement, therow, 8) >

    < cfset SpreadsheetSetCellValue (s, Replacement_ETA, therow, 9) >

    < / cfoutput >

    < name cfheader = "content-disposition" value = "attachment; filename = Departures_ (#DateFormat (now (), 'MMDDYY') #) .xls ">"

    < cfcontent type = "application/msexcel" variable = "#spreadsheetReadBinary (s)" # "reset ="true">"

The data in the cells has already been formatted properly. When this file is generated and sent to the user columns are not formatted as expected.

Does anyone know if this method will work or have a better suggestion on CF getting to generate a suitable date and currency field to Excel for acknowledge?

Adobe ColdFusion running on RHEL 5 v10

    Thank you

For some reason, you need to format it twice - once before the data is inserted and one after.

This is especially true if you have data values that are integers.  These, even if you format cell advance to be 'Text', always align to the right, as do the integers.  However, if you reapply the formatting after inserting the data, then it must be formatted correctly.

    HTH,

    ^_^

PS. Thank YOU for taking the time to code for spreadsheetsetcellvalue (CF)!  Too many people become lazy and chuck just a query to an object tag cfspreadsheet.
