  Hi melotam,

  It seems that something in your preview cache has been altered. No worries - you can delete preview cache and Lightroom are going to rebuild it, even if it may take some time, depending on the size of your catalog.

  To remove the preview cache, follow these steps:

  1. quit Lightroom.

  2. in your operating system, look for your Lightroom Catalog. Catalogs are generally/Pictures/Lightroom on Mac and my Pictures\Lightroom on Windows.

  3. Locate the folder whose name ends in "Previews.lrdata" and delete it. (note, may you enjoy a folder whose name ends with "Smart Previews.lrdata." You shouldn't need to remove that one).

  Once the preview folder is deleted, restart Lightroom. You can see gray thumbnails in the grid for a few moments that Lightroom starts to rebuild your preview cache.

  I work with LabVIEW and tiara. In the LabVIEW, I write all my measurements in a file .tdms on the internal network. If I stop as the close .tdms file and I can open in DIAdem and calculate everything what I need with my script. Last week I did a long time measurement and the intern network was defective. So the LabVIEW didn't close the .tdms as usual file. There are 3 files on the network:

  . TDMS. TDMS.log / .tdms_index

  If I try to open the .tdms file there is a mistake. But I don't see that there is some data in the file (the file size). And if the .tdms LabVIEW close it correctly there is none. TDMS.log file. The question is, can I open my data in DIAdem, and how can I do?

  This problem occurs because Adobe folder ~/Library/Application Support / do not have full read/write permissions.

  Make sure you see your username (with which you are connected) in the window permissions (get info)

  Clicking on WMP 12 - does not open. WMC opens but comes with audio error when trying to access the music library. Impossible to sync/play any music or dvd. Tried to turn the features off & restart between - no improvement. audio works with everything else on the machine & drivers are up-to-date.   If you remove the preview cache folder and the problem persists, then most likely you have found the wrong preview cache (it's for a different catalog previews) and you must find the right cache overview. You should use the search function of your operating system to find all files whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA and remove each of them until you can open your Lightroom Catalog.
