Open workspace tool

Hello

I am trying to open a workspace tool of Labview Veristand as described here:

http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/77A8EE353C9E461B862579E9006891F7

Although the windows in the workspace opens (which means the project ref is correct), I get a not found error 7 (Vi).

Does anyone know what is the problem?

Kind regards

Ulysses K

Hello!

Indeed. I tried the example and I failed.

Also, I tried to find that all the vi loaded into the memory used in veristand (with a custom tool worspace). In this way, I found the names of VI, you use in your example instead of the absolute tool path workspace.

I found this list Vi

scr_Fault Manager.vi
sub_Alarm Monitor.vi
Manager.VI model parameter
sub_Calibration.VI
Viewer.VI of channel data
View RT Console.vi
scr_TDMS Data Viewer.vi

I have change the example and replace the 'workspace tool' path by a combo of string with these names of vi.

However, I cannot start the macro recorder and player, these screws are shipped in a library (MacroRecorderPlayer.lvlib:Macro Recorder.vi
MacroRecorderPlayer.lvlib:Macro Player.vi). I failed to launch the Explorer XNET nor. This workspace tool is an exe file in the folder:

C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\NI-XNET\busMonitor\nixnetbm.exe

  • Manage the XML files in the workspace tool

    Hello

I developed a workspace tool that was working until I have add the report XML file IO > XML > XML Parser.

I can't add any VI of this palette to my worksapce tool. I get an error when trying to open the workspace tool if one of these screws is inside my tool.

    The error is:

In my workspace tool, I need to open/create/modify and save XML files.

I am in a position to use property nodes and node invoke for this type of files. And I already replace all screws of NI_XML.lvlib for nodes of property and call the nodes. But there are 2 screws that actually, I'm still unable to find the solution for them.

Who are the NI_XML.lvlib:New.vi and the NI_XML.lvlib: Close .vi, because they are protected by Word.

Anyone has idea how to solve this problem?

I noticed a few screws of this palette XML using a dll. For example the first matched NI_XML.lvlib:Get Node.vi this interior uses the DOMUserDefRef.dll.

I saw this dll functions and there is a for close, which might be the one they use inside the Close.vi. The function is DUXDocumentClose.

I need this because you cannot close a XML reference with close Reference.vi.

I need to replace the 3 screws

You can do it in the manner that main vi is only as .vi. Dependencies must go to llb in the same folder as vi main.

  • VMWare Workstation 12 and 18 of Linux Mint (Ubuntu 16.04) and vmware tools or open-vmware-tools

I created a new virtual machine using VMWare Workstation 12.1.1 build-3770994 with a guest OS from Linux Mint 18 (which is built on top of Ubuntu 16.04). I have two monitors on my system, the two 2560 x 1440. I am unable to get this virtual machine Linux Mint 18 to cover all of my two monitors when I disable "Accelerate 3D graphics" in my vm settings, I get an error. I have another Linux Mint 17 VM running on the same VMWare Workstation 12 on the same host machine from Windows 10 and it is able to expand on my two monitors very well with "Accelerate 3D graphics" disabled, but he does not open-vmware-tools.

I have read instructions telling me to install open-vm-Tools-Office in this guest operating system of Linux Mint 18. I did it. Then I restart the guest operating system. When starting, I can click on 'Enter full screen mode' in my menu of VMWare Workstation, and the guest OS has a monitor as expected. When I then click on "Cycle multiple monitors", I get the following error. "The virtual machine could not be changed to the selected screen layout. If you add a monitor to the host computer, you must turn off and turn on the virtual machine to use this monitor. »

    vmware-monitors-error.jpg

I can optimize my VM to automatic adjustment, only one of my two screens, but not both. I tried to uninstall and reinstall open-vm-tools, open-vm-tools-desktop and restart. I tried to use /vmware-tools-distrib/vmware-install.pl's original vmware tools and who does not work either.

In my vmware.log, I get these two lines that occur when I get the above error.

    2016 07-12 T 15: 43:19.068 - 06:00 | MKS | I125: ToolsSetDisplayTopology: send rpcMsg = 1 DisplayTopology_Set, 0 0 2560 1440

    2016 07-12 T 15: 43:24.853 - 06:00 | vCPU-1 | I125: TOOLS of the call to DisplayTopology_Set failed.

When I activate "Accelerate 3D graphics" with the configuration described above, I am able to use both of my monitors. Why is this the case?

I think remember having to disable "Accelerate 3D graphics" in my Linux Mint 17 comments vm because it would crash randomly. I try to run this VM Linux Mint 18 with 3D acceleration and see if it crashes, but why is there a difference with spanning multiple monitors?

    Thank you.

I didn't experience this problem for a few weeks. I don't have a definitive answer to my original problem.

I installed Mate instead of cinnamon 3 to my MINT 18. Then, I created a new VM with Ubuntu Gnome 3 16.04 running as the OF. I did have problems with both approaches. I also tried using Firefox as my main browser instead of Chrome, as I read that Chrome can have problems of memory. It could be a combination of several of these changes that have allowed me to work without problems.

Knowing what I know now, I think the move away from cinnamon 3 is what seems to have fixed my problems. I can certainly say that you use Firefox consumes less memory, as I can monitor the monitor system under Ubuntu. Chrome would eventually eat all my system memory, that I could see. The extent of the why? I'm not sure at this point.

  • Impossible to get files shared, open-vm-tools or vmware tools to work after upgrading Fusion 8

I just upgraded to Fusion 8 and have been upgrading my VMs accordingly.  I went to install vmware tools as usual on Ubuntu 14.04, and the script or the pop-up said that the preferred method for this OS has been to use instead the open-vm-tools. I installed open-vm-tools, but my shared folders disappeared. I tried to install vmware-tools, since I found an old ad saying that would solve the problem, but he wants to only replace open-vm-tools.  I thought I would try anyway, but the installation fails with errors.  I completely uninstalled vmware tools and restarted open-vm-tools.  It doesn't seem to be a manual for the use of open-vm-tools.

If open-vm-tools is the preferred method to use ubuntu on vmware, how to bring back all the features (shared folders, etc.)  Why did every upgrade VMware accompanied by pain and hard to find answers?  Or maybe I'm being really stupid.

(this was originally released by chance in the wrong place.  It is now being published in the Fusion forum)

OK, I FINALLY got working open-vm-tools on Ubuntu.  I'm not sure that all that was necessary, but here's what I did:

    1. Completely uninstalled vmware tools using the uninstall program
    2. Open-vm-tools, open-vm-tools-desktop and open-vm-tools-dkms is installed. I am not sure I needed everything, but at least man pages were here who has helped.
    3. At one time I used vmware-user-suid-wrapper, which defined the Office on the appropriate resolution, but is not persisted until I upgraded to Ubuntu.
    4. Updated Ubuntu Studio ot 15.04 Vervet vives.
    5. VMware-hgfsclient will show you what is actually shared by the virtual machine, even if it is not mounted.
    6. To constantly rising stocks, I added the following to the / etc/fstab: "".host: / / mnt/hgfs vmhgfs defaults 0 0 ""
    7. Rebooted and everything works now.

Given that VMware now recommends that users use open-vm-tools instead of the deprecated vmware-tools, it would have been nice to have brief instructions on how to make the transition, rather than have me spend hours in trial and error until I have to work.

  • My PC stops when I open the tool liquify in Photoshop CS6

Hello, when I open my tool of fluidity in photshop CS6 my PC Download stop.

May I know the reason behind this why my pc crash.

I have the original product under license of adobe photoshop cs6, but again, I faced the problem.

    Thank you

    Arvind,

A module of Windows - StackHash is the failing module that is indicated in the error report.

This is usually triggered by the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in Windows.

First, update your video card driver:

    Driver version: 8.920.0.0

    Driver date: 20111109000000.000000 - 000

Your version is November 2011 driver. The current is the October 2012 release. Download the latest version of the site Web AMD here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista32.aspx

Try to run the fluidity. See if it works. If it still does not work, try to disable the GPU acceleration in Photoshop and see if the problem persists? Go to Photoshop > edit > Preferences > Performance > settings of the graphics processor - disable / uncheck CPU chart use

If it solves your problem, the problem was with the out-of-date video driver.

If that does not resolve your problem, follow method 2:

    Method 2:

    1. open your Start menu and select Control Panel

    2. navigate to "System Maintenance" then 'System'

    3. in the left pane, select "advanced system settings" in the available links

    4. you should now see the System Properties window, which will include three sections. The upper part is labeled 'Performance' and has a 'Settings' button. Click on this button.

    5. Select the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.

    6. Select the option that reads "turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"

    7. use the "Browse" button to locate the executable file for Photoshop.exe (usually located in the Program Files folder or anywhere where you have installed), and then click open to add it to your exceptions list.

    8. click on apply or OK to apply your changes.

This will disable DEP for Photoshop. See if that solves your problem.

Let us know how it goes.

  • How to open development tools in the same window rather than in a separate window?

At the beginning, the development tools used to open the bottom of the browser window when I press Ctrl + Shift + I. But then one day I opened it in a new window by clicking on the button in the upper right. Since then, the tools of the developer always open in a new window. I want them to open in the same window down as before. But I am unable to do so.

Hello, click the anchor at the bottom of the browser window in the top right of the window or otherwise enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), search for the preference named devtools.toolbox.host & right click and restore the default value for that entry.

  • System freeze when it is opened the tool update BIOS, how can I update the BIOS?

I'm trying to update the BIOS on my 14 (1016tx) want.

I downloaded the latest BIOS from the HP website and open it, the dialog box has 2 buttons only start at 1, output 2

Click 1 start, then another dialog box pops up saying not to stop your computer blablabla... and asks me to confirm, OK or cancel

However, all input devices have no answer at this time. No keyboard, touchpad, usb mouse no longer works. USB ports seem to be put off, since the light on my usb key is off.

The power button does not work neither. I continue to press it for about 1 minute, just can't turn off the machine and I have to remove the power cord and the battery to stop the crazy fan.

p.s. I just installed the operating system. (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit) until I try to update the BIOS.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I managed to fix everything on time. It seems that the problem was caused by the absence of HP_TOOL partition on my hard drive.

I downloaded the UEFI BIOS HP update and installed it, he created a partition of 2 GB HP_TOOL for me, and then the BIOS update tool work (it will restart the computer to update the UEFI BIOS and BIOS update).

P.S. Just wonder why HP releases suck a stupid tool. If it relies on a HP_TOOL partition, it should just say that instead of drive the crazy fan and disable all buttons!

  • Stop opening the tools Panel

Whenever I open a document in the tools Panel is taking up much of the space. Of course, it is easy to close. But I don't want to open in the first place. I can't find anything in the preferences to stop everything. Each search as "Panel tools in Acrobat reader DC" is rejected by the site as "too long" (?). Any thoughts? Simon

It's been updated! Please see hide the tools Panel in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC at all times.

  • Error in mmcbase. DLL when opening administrative tools

I get the following error message when you try to start a number of administrative tools: -.

"The procedure entry point? PickIconDlg@@YGHPAUHWND__@@PAGIPAH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library mmcbase. "DLL"

Title of the message box is "mmc.exe - Entry Point not found".

What can I do to fix this?

I downloaded my SP3 mmc.exe on my SkyDrive and you can download it from this link:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.Office.live.com/Browse.aspx/.documents?UC=0&WA=wsignin1.0&SA=800701983

If there is a problem downloading, let me know because I'm not too sure about this thing of SkyDrive yet.  It appears, it will warn you about a risk when downloading executables, but you can trust me...

    You need to replace c:\windows\system32\mmc.exe

Make a copy of your current mmc.exe file somewhere a course, just in case you need to put it back.  If something went wrong with your SP3 update, you have still some other discoveries later.

It's no surprise that run sfc/scannow was no difference because sfc/scannow concerns only on files in this folder:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\Dllcache

Running sfc/scannow is a waste of time for system problems (unless you want to check your dllcache folder) as it will not update/replace any file (s) in another system folder (this is why I will never even move for the problems of the system).

    Let's see how it works.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
