I use the current trial of Acrobat DC version. I opened a PDF I created in Corel Draw by publication in PDF format. I tried to copy and paste text from it to a Word 2007 document. The copy option was available, but when I went to the document and chose paste, it was nothing. I then tried the same thing but sticking in a document of Corel. The same problem. It seems that the text has been copied, but I'm unable to paste it into another program. Is this real?
Is it permanently available text? (Can highlight you)?
This seems a strange way of working well - why not copied from the draw to Word?

Acrobat Reader DC works fine and opens a PDF file without problem - until I have a word document open as well-, then the PDF file crashes. I can't open a PDF file, a word document is also open.
For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.
Let us know how it goes.

How can I fix above question - what do I need to uninstall Adobe Reader?
But if I do that I will never be able to recover/fix previous PDF (now replaced by Word)?
T - Firefox or other parameters affect Adobe - If yes what should I do?
Hi susans76239434,
As all your PDF documents are now appear as a word file, please right-click on any PDF file icon and choose ' open with... > choose default program > Adobe Acrobat XI "and click OK.
This will open the PDF with Acrobat files only and not Word.
Then, you can try to convert PDF into word via Adobe Reader.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards

I bought the ability to convert PDF files into word documents. However, when I opened a PDF it does not include the right panel that had been giving me the option to convert. After spending 30 minutes on a cat, I've learned that (1) the option is not on the right side panel on Acrobat 9 Pro, (2) it is on the top. What should I do to convert my files?
Look at the file menu.

I ve just to open a PDF file in Word format, but I can't use it properly. The document is unformated...
The conversion to WORD (if you converted before you opened in WORD, because WORD does not open PDF files to my knowledge) is a luck of the draw. Two options are generally available, to keep the page layout and to maintain the flow of the text. The provision creates a bunch of text boxes in WORD with your information. The stream format does not text boxes. If the PDF file has been create from WORD with all tags (using PDF Maker), then the conversion can be almost flawless. If it was printed to PDF format or the markup turned off, then you are function Acrobat (or export) try to interpret what is necessary and the results is often not great. An article that almost never comes out right are equations.
If you scanned the document, then you have an OCR option, but don't expect great things. You must always keep the originals of your documents. Reverse engineering function, a PDF to WORD is a dangerous practice.

I tried to open a .pdf file in Word
and now, all PDFs in my computer are in Word format, that open no right...
How can I change this back? I need step by step help - I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI for simple things... my apologies...
Hey danielab8500,
We would certainly help you.
You may need to click any PDF file and choose "open with > choose default program.
Form of the Open with dialog box appears, select Adobe Acrobat XI as default program to open any PDF file.
Now click OK and try to open any PDF by double-clicking it to confirm that it will open in Acrobat and not Word.

I have Adobe Reader XI with the package that allows me to send a PDF file and convert PDF files to Word. When I open a pdf file and you try to find the search shows no match, even if the word I'm looking for is in the document. Suggestions how to search?
A scanned document is an image; You can't find a picture.
If the image contains text, recognition of characters (OCR) will convert the 'text' in the image in real text (searchable, editable).
OCR can be performed automatically when converting a PDF to Word, using the ExportPDF service.
To run OCR inline in a PDF document, you will need Acrobat.

Specifying the parameters open PDF in Word import script
I have created a number of URL to a Word document that open to a specific page only. in format PDF files for example http://www.adhc.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/file/0008/228194/HomeModificationGuidelines.pdf#p age = 4
The function of parameters as expected when opened directly in the Word document, but after importing and publishing v9 HR, parameterized URLS are completely ignored in the browser (Internet Explorer).
If I add the URL via HR directly, they are OK, however, I have to keep the source in Word format. Anyone know if there is a limitation in the context of the word is important to HR or am I missing the point somewhere along the way? I searched high and low for an answer and praying that there could be a solution or workaround!
Thanks in advance...
Wilan
I have been informed by the Adobe support is currently not possible to import a document Word with PDF open parameters in a URL, for example http://example.org/doc.pdf#page=3 . I'm not sure if this applies also to the referencing a destination named in a PDF also. Adobe engineers will continue the investigation.

When I open a PDF using Firefox, some letters of the words that are printed on the document are missing. In my view, that the creator of the document used a text box to add 'Draft' on it. The D is missing. I found some words are 'Negotiable no copy' and the C is missing. These same files PDF open correctly in IE and Chrome. Experienced on V22 - V25. Using Windows7
Are there fonts embedded in the PDF file or the policy that is set as default in Options > content?
You can right click on the text and use "Inspect element" to open the built-in Inspector and navigate the tabs fonts to see what font is used.
