  Did you ever reinstalled your OS from Vista running on your system?  If you have a Windows Vista OEM preinstalled on your system and you have an external hard drive, it wouldn't hurt to go back to factory settings and transfer your data on.  You would eliminate several possible culprits in your system running slow.

  It's really to use when you have multiple images open in the editor. When you choose file > organize open files you go directly to the Organizer. The files are displayed with a red bar through the thumbnails until the editor is closed. This is sometimes useful when creating projects and where you can create an album of the files used in the project. Just use ctrl + click on each image and then click the Green plus icon to collect the images open in an album. I must admit that is not used very often.

  Just checked on your screen where you see the display of Lightroom. It's pretty clear that you have a corrupt monitor profile. You can see it in the fact that the grey area under your histogram is not neutral. This only happens if the monitor profile is corrupted. This happens sometimes when you use canned profiles for your display installed by the drivers of the monitor or by the manufacturer and is unfortunately quite common on windows machines. You must calibrate and profile your monitor using a calibrator material like a Spyder, i1display, ColorMunki, etc... If you do not, you must set the display profile to sRGB (check the color management tab in the properties of your screen pane) and then get one as soon as you can. You can even rent them to a place like lensrentals.com if you do not want to spend the $100, which will cost cheaper ones. They are essential if you do no editing on a computer work. You can't trust your display at all if you don't calibrate.

  nVidia card?  Go to the nVidia Control Panel and set the parameters of quality 3D of 'let the application decide '.  If you have an ATI card should there be similar parameters.

  Start Pages and when the open file picker appears, click on the entry reader favorite iCloud and then navigate to the document, either in the folder of your Pages, or another folder. Click it, and then select open.

  If this does not work, search for the document in the Finder and then while pressing the option key held down, drag the file to your desktop. Double-click to open pages.
