OpenManage cannot install server Instrumentation

I want to install OpenManage Server Administratror on our servers, the mix of different PowerEdge servers and Windows operating system. It is installed and works very well on some but not on others. The problem is with the installation, the Web Server installs ok but server Instrumentation and NIC Interfaces do not appear even in option and are not installed. I checked that the versions of OpenManage are correct for the hardware and the operating system and everything else I can think. The impression that I'm missing something simple?

Hi Jon,

Using OMSA version 7.4?  On systems that fail, they are VMs? as we have seen a similar question during installation accidentally to virtual machines.

Try this. For OMSA to install questions, you can install using the OMSA the. Fichier_MSI instead of setup.exe.  When you use the. MSI to install OMSA, you can use parameters to specify the installation location of the newspaper.

(1) download and extract OMSA

2) go to a command prompt and navigate to C:\OpenManage\windows\SystemsManagement

(3) msiexec.exe /i SysMgmt.msi/l * v "C:\openmanage\logs\SysMgmt.log".

This will place the Setup logs in the C:\OpenManage\logs folder.

Let me know if you can send me the logs. I will send you my email.

Have a great weekend.

  • Satellite Pro P200: Cannot install Server 2003 - parity memory error

I have a Satellite Pro P200 and to the work required to install Windows 2003 server on it, but all I get is an error message:

    -Hardware malfunction

Call your provider of support material

NMI: Parity check / memory parity error

    -The system is shut down

I checked the memory and everything seems OK. Vista runs very well on it, and all memory is recognized. I tried different flavors of Server 2003, although all I need is standard edition. Anyone who has met this problem, or someone has any suspicion as to how I can get it operational.

So, how tested the RAM? With Memtest? Or Prime95?

I read in many forums that people work servers (no laptop...) SERVERS) that correctly work 1 year with ECC memory, then windows 2003 server gives the same error message you have.

I mean if Vista works flawlessly and you checked as you say the RAM while there could be a mismatch which must not be for lack of toshibas.
Maybe you should try a linux ubuntu server edition, which works great on almost * ALL * systems, even on systems with faulty CPU/memory (Ok, ok, not 100%, but it works, I got this case :))

So, maybe you can try to exchange the RAM, but if you're still the same error then ask microsoft or try another P200, if they are available.

    Hello

Windows XP needs a SATA driver if you want to install on the laptop with SATA HDD controller.
Driver SATA can be found in the Intel Storage Manager.

I advise to use nLite program to include a SATA driver in the new Windows XP CD, then boot from the XP CD created new.

  • Cannot install the MFP M177fw printer driver

I try again to install the driver and follow the instructions at the bottom of the link but still cannot install. I start small windows and even to create a new user, but can not run.

Can I do to install? Thank you.

    Rgds,

    Tony Thk

    Hi @TonyThk,

Thank you for showing interest in the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to install the printer wireless. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I see that you have followed the steps in the post you mentioned. In addition to these steps, try the following.

Tips for a successful wireless connection:

    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA or WPA2.
    • Using a unique network name (SSID).
    • Avoid using filtering by Mac address of the router.
    • Make sure you have 802.11 g active.
    • The printer cannot connect to the 5.0 GHz network. If you have a double router broadband, the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz network names are not the same. Rename the 5.0 GHz network.
    • Don't hide your SSID (network name).
    • Change the router channel fixed wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, who less than traffic.
    • You have a switch or an extra router?
    • Do not use a network of comments (SSID).
    • Disable UPnP on the router.
    • Set the router to 20 Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on the router.
    • Update the firmware on the router.

Disable IPV6 in front panel of the printer menu:

    1. Configuration menu
    2. Network configuration
    3. Network services
    4. IPv6, select disabled.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    1. Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP IPV4 of the printer address.
    2. Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    3. Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    4. Select Manual IP.
    5. Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    6. Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    7. Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    8. Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    9. Click on apply.
    10. Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    11. Test print.

Ensure that your router and firewall do not block these ports.
