Check if you can install the update.
Method 3: If the problem still persists I suggest you to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

The last time I tried to install updates, an update installs with update error 800b0100. I have downloaded and run the system tool in the proposed aid system but I still get the same error. I use 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on a dual-boot Apple iMac. What should I do now?

You can run scanning of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer which will replace missing or corrupt files & try to install the stand-alone update package.

Method 2:
After you run the analysis, you can try to download and install the standalone update package.
a. to download updates from the Microsoft Download Center
b. Enter the item number in the field search and download the same.
c. double-click on the downloaded file.
d. click on run and follow the wizard to install it.

Fixing of Windows Update error 80070490
I tried the Windows Update error correction. System update readiness tool has not corrected the problem. When I insert the Windows DVD, I get to the step 6 which asks which type of installation, I want. When I try to click on upgrade, it says updating has been disabled. Any other suggestions? Help!

Update for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB967642)
(b) thereafter, set up the computer in a clean boot state and try to install the update. It will start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps eliminate software conflicts.

"Error loading operating system" after windows update
I have an ASUS EeePc netbook model: 1005PEB. Last night before going to bed, I stopped the netbook and it has begun to install and configure windows was last updated. I left on the office do its thing and went to bed. This morning, I got the netbook and it went out of the car and it turned on while I was about to leave the House (before ask you, no I ' was not flying). He started installing all the updates that it had installed the night before. It has gotten to the point where it installed the last element and hung up there. I leave a this screen for 45 minutes and nothing has changed. I went against my better judgment and off the netbook. When I went immediately to turn it back on all I get is "error loading operating system". I tried to use F8 to try to start it in safe mode and I can always access the BIOS. How do I get this service still? I don't have really any data here, I'm too preoccupied. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Turns out that my computer has a virus, of which a part had apparently obtained in the area of the 100 MB of my raid0 array system. When I reloaded the os I've removed then reinstalled the partitions, then reloaded the software and my problem calmed. Thanks for your ideas.

Update error, does not download after system upgrade
My laptop Sony all in one was running 8.1 and started running slow, so I did a refresh in assist mode, sony has. It did not work would not recover from the start that I did a complete system and it worked. However, now every time I try to update everything to go back to windows 8.1, im stuck at windows update is download, but it is not at all. I did windows update troubleshooting and 3 erros jumped to the top and 2 of the three say fixed, while one said detected, but not fixed. Why can I update, or better yet, how to find the files that I'm missing and re install? Help, please...!

PC Windows 7 64 Player update. Error 2: The system cannot find the specified file
Impossible to update Adobe Reader on PC under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 & Mozilla Firefox. Error 2: The system cannot find the specified file.
I tried several times, now my v9.4.1 player is not supported.
- Uninstall Reader 9.x

In Vista Home Premium SP 2, I can't update: error 80070490. (I can update Security Essentials) None of the tools / corrections / convenience stores solves this problem. Is there another way I can fix my windows.

I think windows update error error number: 0x80072EFF by updating my PC. I am also getting Generic Host Process error and after I get one that I get a few redirects and a lot of functional point of view.

He did had a System Tools 2011 virus that seems to have disappeared. But also, which took place on 12/24. It seemed to have disappeared, but it has problems since.
