Optima availability of Acrobat Pro XI

I am trying to create a new PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on MAC OS X Version 10.6.8.  In the font book, I see Optima fonts and I can use them in Word, Excel, etc.  But they are not listed in Acrobat.  How can I get the listed in Acrobat for use?

You can not choose fonts in Acrobat Pro. Do you in distilled. But then, the Distiller is intended to be used with PostScript files. As if you save a Quark XPress document to a .ps file.

For Word or Excel, do a save as, then choose PDF as output. All fonts used in the document will be saved in the PDF file that is generated as a subset.

  • Gotham rounded font, is this available in Acrobat PRO DC?

I am trying to edit a pdf file, the police is rounded of Gotham, but when I try to edit, Gotham rounded is not one of the available fonts in MS Word or Acrobat PRO DC? Any ideas on how to get Gotham rounded added as a policy option, or if something is close to him?

You must install on your computer and the license of the font needs

  • Acrobat Pro DC, implemented custom portfolio?

In Acrobat Pro XI, I created PDF portfolios customized using the layout of the wave portfolio, translucent visual theme, and my own background image.

This feature is always available in Acrobat Pro ms? If so how the call? Thank you.

    Bill

You can not. Acrobat DC you will 'play' (custom or otherwise) portfolios that have been created in Acrobat X and XI, but doesn't let you create new ones using these models.

My best advice is to just spend. I've made a good living models custom PDF portfolio creation and I assure you, having a more consistent experience of portfolios between the two desktop and mobile is much better than having a pretty layout that only works on the desk and only when his own version (not the default) of Flash Player is installed.

Trust me on this. It's better.

  • How to clear the signature in acrobat pro dc

I want to erase a signature on a document DC form I created. I used to be able to do a right-click on the signature field and choose "Clear Signature" but this option is not available.

    Hi Pete,.

The "Clear Signature" option is available in Acrobat Pro MS as in Acrobat Pro XI.

You can delete a signature if you are the writer, in other words, if the digital ID with which you made the signature is available for Acrobat.

I see two reasons that the "clear signature" is perhaps not available:

    1. your digital ID is not available to Acrobat Pro DC. In other words, you don't him not yet imported it for use in Acrobat or do not have your smart card in the reader, etc.

    2. When you signed the PDF document, you have chosen the option "Lock after signing the Document.

  • I am based in Tanzania, East Africa. I want to subscribe to Acrobat Pro DC. Given that the subscription is not available for me can someone help?

Anyone know how I can subscribe to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC? Am based in Tanzania, East Africa and the online sign-up option is not available on the site.

Please help if you can. Thank you.

You can probably still buy a perpetual license. It is very well hidden, but... Follow these instructions:

On the Page of Adobe products: https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html

Click Buy next to Acrobat Pro DC and change the option 'I want to buy' to 'Full' (or 'Upgrade' If you have an earlier version of qualification).

Select any other options, and then click Add to cart, proceed to checkout. You will get a full license, not a time-based subscription.

    Hi Ion,

    Forms Central is longer now.

    FormsCentral

A trial version of forms used to be installed as part of Acrobat PRO XI Central desktop application.

It is no longer available and is not included in Acrobat DC, however, you can always create PDF using Acrobat PRO from DC forms.

  • Is student price available more buy Acrobat Pro XI?

I am interesting to buy Acrobat Pro XI, and I heard student price is available.  Is that still available?  If Yes, where can I find it?

Acrobat Pro XI is not available for sale from Adobe for students, or for someone else. You can however buy Acrobat Pro DC, which is the new version, at the cost of the student.

  • Acrobat Pro XI - LiveCycle Designer is not available

Our company has been previously using Acrobat X Pro and we have since upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI.  What options are available to allow me to change to LiveCycle designer files created by Pro X?

    Hello

We had a similar problem. As it is no longer ships with Acrobat, if you meet certain criteria, you can get a free upgrade.

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/upgrade-LiveCycle-Designer-Acrobat-XI.h tml

I have read this page and assumed that we could just recover again. For now, our COMPUTER support is in discussion with Adobe - not course that it is.

If all goes well, you might have more luck.

In the meantime, we ended up back Acrobat X Pro on some PCs so we can continue using LiveCycle, but he is not happy and keeps asking us to save it.

LiveCycle is now a separate program:

Complete design of ES4 designer tools | Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite 4

We said that it's very different from the ES2, so we will have to test it before committing to buy the new version anyway.

    Good luck

  • Need help: Acrobat Pro XI - reduced size PDF vs PDF optimized

I hope that some of you people can help me, I can't contact Adobe customer service.  I've recently updated to Acrobat Pro XI.  In my old version of Acrobat Pro, I used to be able to take a large PDF file (let's say 10 MB) and shrink considerably down with relative ease (less than 1 MB).  The file could then be easily sent, share, read, and especially don't take tons of hard drive space.  With this new version of Acrobat Pro XI, this same file of 10 MB barely reduced up to 7 or 8 MB.  I played with different settings in either the file-> save as others-> PDF of reduced size and File-> Save As-> optimized other PDF.  No matter what I try, I can't reach anywhere near the same compression results than what I used to be able to achieve with my older version of Pro.  I can get the file size reduced, but the reduced quality of the file is trash.

Has anyone else has this problem as well?  Anyone of you have any suggestions on what to do to fix?  I have mainly to scan a document in PDF with my HP OfficeJet Pro and then reduce the size of the PDF file after the scan.  I could scan the document with DPI lower initially (currently scan 300 dpi in grayscale), but then I have not the quality of the scanned image I need to reduce the file down so that it can later be reprinted at a good enough quality.

Leonie... I could have thought of it!  Don't have time to play with it now, but try this out.  Open large PDF you want to shrink in size.  Go to view-> tools-> processing of documents.  There should be a toolbar that opens on the right side of the screen next to the document.  One of the selections will be in PDF format to optimize.  When I did, I got a 12 MB document reduce less than 1 MB!  You can play with the slider to choose a smaller / more low quality vs a bigger / better quality.  I don't know why they hid this feature here, but I think that's what we are looking for.  I highlighted the command and dragged to my main toolbar to make it easier to access next time.

Hope this helps!  I would like to know how it works for you.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.5.2 no updates available (to 9.5.3)

Since reading the release of updates of January 8, 2013, I tried to update Acrobat Pro 9.5.2 9.5.3 to but "Check for Updates" in help invariably returns "No updates available."

I downloaded the manual update, but I try to get the check for updates of work to avoid always having to manually update the product.

I first checked Acrobat 9 Pro and when that could not find the update first decided to update Acrobat Reader and subsequently checked frequently rechecked Acrobat Pro and still have the problem of not finding the updated version.  Reader X set to update from the previous version to the current 10.1.5.33 I'll probably kill to get to 11 player.

Thought to uninstall Acrobat Pro produced for me, but the process of update to Acrobat 9 Pro has proved to be extremely heavy due to a large number of updates that must be successively updated not to mention a very slow process, because the original for Acrobat 9 Pro updates were not incremental and complete software replacement necessary.

I tried the option fix for Acrobat 9 Pro, but only wasted my time and did not correct the problem.

    Windows 7 64-bit.

    Thank you

The update works well and it updated my player to 9.5.3 without any problem. You may try to update your product.

And, if your Acrobat licenses does not work, try first fix the programs option in the control panel.

  • Acrobat Pro Preflight abandons analysis with 'insufficient memory' on 64-bit Windows 7 despite the free/available memory

In fact, the question is not if there is enough physical memory on your system, but if Acrobat has exhausted its 32-bit address space. Acrobat on Windows (32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows) is still a 32-bit application, limited to about 4 GB of address space maximum virtual memory , which by your screenshots, is exhausted.

You don't specify what version of Acrobat Pro, you are running, but before DC Acrobat (i.e., Acrobat 11 and earlier versions), it was relatively easy to run out of virtual memory when using control upstream against long, complex, or the two long and complex PDF.

If you run Acrobat 11 or earlier, the only solution is to upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC in which many aspects of preflight have been significantly updated including support for long and complex documents and performance.

If you use Acrobat Pro DC, I would personally like you to contact me via a message in these forums the details so that I can help analyze what is happening. If there are still issues in Acrobat Preflight DC, we would fix it if possible.
