Optimizing for conversion

Hello

I have the following VI

It works pretty fast on a fast PC (core 2 duo) but it does not work fast enough on my laptop. Is it possible to optimize this?

Best regards

  • If Firefox for Android has not been optimized for 4.3?

After having updated my Nexus 10 to 4.3 Monday, everything works well except for Firefox. I have two 22.0 and Beta installed, and the problems are identical in both. Keyboard lag, characters appearing not to if I typed in the search/address, blank white bar screens well it shows the page has finished loading, the previous page always shows even if the poster address bar a new page was supposedly loaded, ugly scrolling. Chrome browser works perfectly as it is. I rebooted several times and no joy. I have not uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but I don't know who would do good. I will try that next, but I wonder if there is a known issue with Firefox for Android is not yet optimized for 4.3.

    Hi all:

I wrote an article of SUMO KB on the 4.3 Android and Nexus 10 questions.

  • Is the latest version of Firefox optimized for Yahoo

All I want to know is the latest version of Firefox optimized for Yahoo

As far as I know, Firefox is not "optimized" for specific web sites. If you see a version of Firefox that claims to be "optimized for Yahoo", it might be a new perfume created by Yahoo, but that's just a guess.

  • Loaded IE 8 optimized for AT & T Yahoo and now windows does not start at the top.

Yesterday, I installed IE 8 optimized for AT & T Yahoo. When it restarted to complete the process, he went to the ' start windows normally, safe mode, safe mode w/network, safe w/command prompt mode and the last known good configuration "screen... I tried to start windows normally, then the last known good configuration and not matter what I do it looks like its about to start up, then a brief blue screen flashes then I finish immediately at the start screen mode to choose. I don't want to reload windows if I have to. I wish now that I had stayed with my old AT & T Yahoo browser. He was doing very well until I have given and responsible for IE8.

Thanks for the tip, but I finally found my answer on another site. I put on my xp drive, went to retrieve and type CHKDSK at the command prompt. It has helped to correct the mistakes, got rid of IE 8, and now I am running.

  • What is the unit of allocation best partition optimized for games and other files?

Original title: Dear lads! I'm buying a Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB, and I intend to optimize my HARD drive

I want to tell you, what I usually use my PC, so you can help me with the allocation units, partitions and the locations of the page file.

-Use computer games for most of my quality time. I wonder, what is the unit of allocation best partition optimized for games
-I download and download a large number of files. I'll create a separate partition for this kind of data?
-I'll have access to 2 different hard disks the following day. Will I dedicate entire storage for the pagefile? (I've got GB of physical RAM)
Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions!

«Also, I would like to know, if I needed a file at all, or I could skip just use it, because I read something like: pagefile is mainly used for memory images, which I don't really need (some have suggested, you don't even need it on servers).»

When you move the pagefile to another PHYSICAL disk, you should always leave a little on C, perhaps 500 MB, for things like memory dump files. Next, you define a "system managed" pagefile on the other disk.

It never makes sense to totally eliminate the swap file and don't forget that the swap file is not a Microsoft invention designed to shoot to the top of the hard drive space. OS UNIX, Linux and Mac too, independently use the totals of RAM...

  • PDF file generated from Reporting SERVICES hangs when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "optimized for fast web view."

Large pdf (over 1000 pages) generated files form SSRS crashes when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "Optimized for fast web view" activated. This saves fine with disabling this option. However, our customers are not ready to accept this solution because they do not want to change any settings. Please suggest if we should create a ticket with microsoft for SSRS allow the generation of pdf quick display of Web pages or is it an option in Adobe to fix this problem without changing the settings.

The SSRS file has Fast Web View: 'No' and that's how Microsoft SSRS generates these files.

Thank you for the complete maxwyss response

As you have indicated, the PDF SSRS seems to have some elements that are quite similar to be supported for fast web view.

We asked customers to disable the fast web view, but the customer is big enough to make a change individually on their machines and so were looking for a solution.

I saw in several forums and a few discussions here as well as disable the fast web view option works for pdf fails.

Which was just wondering if its known that multiple PDFs genarted by third parties may have problems with the optimization, the Save as optimized for fast web view could be disabled by default installation of acrobat reader rather than be enabled by default

    Thanks again for the reply!

[email protected] is the size of the requested file, and it must have dimensions of 640 x 1136.

Make sure that this file is included in your IPA in the top-level directory.  A good way to check is to rename "myapp.ipa" to "myapp.zip" and unzip and look in the top level of the folder structure.

To get Flash Builder to include it in the IPA, place it in a folder that is included in your flash builder source tree (I use the "system" folder and make sure it is added separately to the project) and make sure that you have checked in the content area of the package:

Additionally, make sure that you have "copy the files not included in the output folder", checked on this screen:

  • Distiller will suddenly end/crash the * SECOND * time I open a file for conversion to PDF.

The subject says it all: Distiller will suddenly end/crash the * SECOND * time I open a file for conversion to PDF.

But I think I have an idea why this is happening. In general, I use Distiller to convert EPS or PS files as PDF files. In addition, almost without fault, I incorporate the required (only of Type 1) fonts directly in files EPS/PS (using the required format to PFA) so no local fonts on my computer are needed to be looked at to distill in to be embedded in the file PDF. they are already in the EPS/PS files.

But yesterday, I tried to convert EPS/PS files to PDF using Distiller in which I had NOT embedded fonts Type 1 (PFA format, of course) in the source of EPS/PS files. All first this conversion would work (in which I select "open" and choose an EPS/PS file for conversion), but after this initial conversion, the * SECOND * time I clicked "Open" the file, Distiller would immediately close/crash.

Then, I searched the web for answers and discovered that some people have trouble distilling to initialize if all their computer system fonts were read-only. So I went back to my EPS/PS files and embedded fonts Type 1 (PFA format) required in them and then - as if by magic - distill worked without a hitch: I could open and convert any number of them in succession, with distilling never close / crashing.

Then, I found the reason why distilling had been crashing at the second attempted to open a file (once again, simply by pressing the "open" button to find a file to convert, * no * after selecting a file) must have something to do with distilling scanning fonts installed on my computer, when there was no PFA font incorporated to make reference to , and a read only font on my system was the cause of the problem. However, I have looked in both places of logic where my fonts must be located (c:\psfonts and c:\windows\fonts), but found * no. attributes * files fonts defined in 'read only' so, I'm stumped.

I use Distiller Pro 10.1.1316 (acrodist.exe) on a machine to earn 8.1. I found similar positions, which dates back to 2004, about Distiller crashing immediately after opening when certain fonts are read-only; I haven't found a post about anyone successfully using Distiller to convert EPS or PS to PDF and then have the program crash when the "Open" button is pressed subsequently. The clues, anyone?

Background: Distiller Server is a product discontinued long - ago - use of Distiller server is now simply prohibited, and LiveCycle PDF Generator is available for servers.

Since you are not using Distiller Server and this forum is essentially abandoned, I recommend that you try the Acrobat - forum creation (etc.) instead.

  • Formula for conversion signal strain gage

Dear forum users and employees of OR,.

I'm fighting to check a formula used by DAQmx and LabVIEW for the conversion of a signal pledge of strain to the mechanical solicitations.
Formula for strain is "eps" (type of full-bridge III: 4 elements, 2 x 2 in the same sense sequence):

    SPE =-2 * Vr / (GF * [(nu + 1) - Vr * (nu - 1)])

    See also '10. Full bridge III"here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4172/en/#toc10

But if I try to reproduce this formula based on figure 1-15 in the page web related, I can simply this:

    VR = Vch/Vex = 1 / 4 * GF * (- nu * eps + eps - nu * eps + eps)
    => eps = 2 * Vr / (GF * [1 - nu])

So either I make a mistake, either the formula given is faulty. The other formulas on the linked web page didn't quite work for me neither.
As reference, take a look at this: "full bridge, 2 grids of longitudinal-2 cross, second to the last entry on this page:

    me-system/dms-bridge

The formula NOR mentioned can be found here as well:

    NOR: Full-bridge Type III

NOR: LabVIEW 2013 help Convert gauges read VI

The formula I got for "eps" was posted by the employee OR in a different context (with a negative sign):

    post on the Forum

    Can someone there explain further?

    Good day!

    Hi Wimba,

the formula that you describe is for folding (Type II) and not for the axial deformation of (Type III).

You must take into account that the voltage should be descriebed in the form of the restistors report.

See the Wheatstone bridge for that.

    Hope that helped.

  • Tip for conversion to 20V power adapters is scheduled for release?

I used several thinkpads so far, and like many others like me, I got a bunch of old cards.

When I was using X201t, my previous phone, I was leaving one of my cards at work and the other in my office at home, and another was always stay in my bag aside, because sometimes I move a lot.

I don't really want to replace all the cards, and I think it will be nice to have the trick of conversion, because like that I'm not only able to save money and space, but also, I will be able to use my laptop older without replacing cards when I have to (I still leave my X201T to my work) (as a backup until I'm absolutely sure I could 100% rely on this propeller at home, I keep my X120e completely set up and ready to go).

I found the thin end of the slim adapter, which I have already ordered, but I'm still wanting and waiting for the trick for advanced warhead so adapters.

I want to know if they are coming, or if Lenovo has actually given up to this "legacy" support

    I have this:

The ray-traced rendering engine is considered obsolete and does not see any further development. As Dave says, this would serve you best to learn the new tool and more robust (Cinema 4 d Lite which is free as part of the CC and CC 2014 installs) and ignore the outdated and soon-to-be-removed old technology (ray-traced rendering engine).

That being said, the ray-traced rendering engine will be considerably accelerated on the GPU vs CPU. As for what settings work best, test them and find out!

  • Re-use VMDK for conversion failed

I am attemping to convert an old box of Windows 2000 white with raid 5 to an HP ML350 G5 with P400/512 MB RAID 1 + 0 VMserver on Windows 2003. It has been supported 27hrs for 86%. I cancelled the task because he was going to take me outside the window, I had to do the migration.

I had a disk fails in raid 1 array + 0, so which could contribute to some of the slowness, it took nearly 12 hours to create the VMDK initially.

I wanted to know is a way to re - use the VMDK created during the first attempt?

    Thank you

No, these VMDK is incomplete and cannot be reused. Also, I think they should have been removed after that you canceled the conversion.
