• Can't remember password option not fails to add the site to the list of Exceptions

  In Firefox 24.0, I visit a Web site and enter the name of user and password. Popup asks me if I want to remember the password. I select never save password for this Site. I logout and log back plug-in software component. After you have entered the name of user and password, I still wonder if I want to remember password.

  Security tab: when I click on Exceptions, there is nothing displayed in the popup window

  How can I get FF to add the site to the exceptions list so that it stops to ask if I want to remember password whenever I visit your site?

  Figured it out. Seems the https sites are treated differently in the newer versions of the FF. To the left of the address in the address bar is a key. When I click the button, it asks if I want to remember the password. If I choose to never remember the password, it will then add the site to the exceptions list.

  I of course can't see anything on this new feature when I searched the support before entering my question. Is there a web page that I forgot?

• Cannot add the new printer port for Central Output Server 5.7 under Windows Server 2012

  I am my output of an old Windows box to a new server migration and have problems with the new ports.  I have 6 installed instances and the last looks OK, but all the others get errors when all output is sent to them, even a Windows Test print. I have them all the same thing, with the format \\.\pipe\jetform\server5 configuration port

  When I installed the software, I installed all 6 instances then went through and added 6 local printer ports - it seemed to configure them OK this first time.

  My test was then on the 6th and last instance and went well.

  When I wanted to test the other forums, I found all simply erroneous jobs on the queue for the printer.

  If I have one of these printers connected to the 6th port, it worked fine.

  I deleted one of the ports that did not work and I tried to re-add. Then I got the message "the system cannot find the file specified."

  I tried to add the port via the registry - he added, but would not yet print.

  Then I noticed in the output server control center, when I tried to stop Central and start one of them, I got the error "unable to connect to the channel named"\\.\pipe\jetform\server5.ctr"

  You need a C Series module. Series and CAN use a DB9, but they do not have the same physical layer.

• VISA serial port automatically configures scan of the available serial ports?

  I am using a VISA set a serial port to open a connection to the serial port, to enter data, make some manipulation of array and display it.

  My VI works perfectly until what I have build in exe and transfer it on a laptop with a USB converter to port series (as the laptop does not have a serial port).

  Windows allocated the converter to COM9, but I do not see it in LabVIEW.

  Do I need to use something like 'Find VISA resource'? If it does find something how can I change the name of resource VISA?

  I have attached a screenshot to give you an idea of what I'm doing.

  There is absolutely no reason to use all of this code. The original order of resource VISA name should work just fine. Have you installed the runtime VISA on the laptop? If so, did you also install MAX, so you can check the VISA resources on the latptop?

  In addition, since an exe file will run automatically when opening, have you provided a mechanism for a com port selection until the program begins the acquisition of VISA?

• Close the Bluetooth Serial Port

  If anyone can offer advice regarding some serial Bluetooth using VISA ports near the fence.

  I establish a session series Bluetooth using the Bluetooth Radio software, then move to LabVIEW to control my device via Bluetooth - no problem.

  When I want to stop the connection, I use the command close the visa. When you use the WIDCOMM drivers, the Bluetooth connection is cut using this application.

  However, when I use a device that works the Bluesoleil drivers, the port is left open after the execution of the order closing the visa (and the command does not return an error).

  Everyone knows this?

  Hi Ssk,

  I have looked into this for you and have been unable to find a prior occurrence of this behavior, many people have used this driver with LabVIEW without this problem.

  If all goes well a little more information can narrow down the cause.

  Can I ask:

  You use what version of LabVIEW.

  Have you tried several devices that use the Bluesoleil driver?  The behavior is repeatable with each of them?

  Have which devices you tested?

  What driver version are you using?  Have you tried to improve this?

  Im working on a project that contains a fuel level (capacitive sensor) sensor. My task is to connect the sensor to a PC and indicate the level of fuel on a chart. The instrument works with 1-wire communication, but Ive built a USB converter for it. So I want to plug it into the USB port on the computer and use Labview to access the fuel level. Its important, I need indicate level constantly, because the probe will build in a bus to see his level of fuel. I've never used instrument in LV control, that is why now wrote im.

  Please can someone help me build a VI to do this?

  The server reads and prints the PIN successfully, but the client raise EOFException at readUTF().

  Solved. The server side must not empty its output stream.

• ESXi 4.1 supports the transmission of serial port?

  My ESXi server has a serial port that I want to be available to a virtual machine (guest).  Is this possible?

  I don't want to share the serial port or do anything "fancy".  I just want it to be accessible.

  Starting with ESXi 4.1, you can go through a serial port.  Simply add a port series to virtual hardware for the virtual machine and choose the option 'Use the physical serial port'.

  So why not use the DOM all along and add the missing root node in the service as well?

  If so, no problem encoding to hardcode a "UTF-8" don't like this.

  Otherwise, it is false since the actual coding of the data will not reflect in the XML prolog.

• Add serial port to VM, get BSOD 0x0000007b

  The operating system is Windows XP and it has been converted from a physical PC about 2 months ago.  He was the starter and working for all of the two months.

  But this computer starts.  I have a snapshot that I can surely return.  And this snapshot successfully starts and restarts.

  But when I add a single serial port (which is a physical port mapping) you get a BSOD on startup.

  After getting the BSOD, if I remove the newly added serial port, he continues to get the BSOD... safe mode or not.

  I am able to join the 'hard drive' to another 'computer' and read / copy files.

  No minidump file is generated by the BSOD.

  I read through all the STOP 0x0000007B VMWare community articles.  While I'm sure it's related to that those who are all about the SCSI drivers and boot devices.

  He is a serial port...

  Someone at - it a theory or something to try?

  OK, so far, I've saved a copy of the VMX for bootable and BSOD.

  A diff seems to indicate that SCSI is get added.  I will try to reduce the VMX BSOD and see what happens.  I might be able to save myself, but feel free to drop some knowledge on me if you have one.

  Don't know why VMWare 9 added THAT SCSI on a computer virtual set to IDE... perhaps that will happen every time I have to change the settings.

  This virtual machine was a horrible time, conversion from physical to virtual and it never worked when trying to make the recommended patches SCSI community.

  Maybe when life slows down I'll clone and try to convert them into SCSI again.
