  Just bought my Motorola Droid and I'm a little confused on how to update a contact "existing" since the "call log".

  Yes, you can do exactly that.  You have the choice of adding a new contact or by adding the number to an existing contact.  The use case you provided is exactly supported.  Someone is already in your list of calls to inform you of a new number. You follow the process I described, select this person in your contacts, and then add the number in the right field (or another)... say they have a second job?

  Ahhh Yes the ever helpful Verizon rep.   I don't know what they were doing.   Basically some how you or he put in double entries.   I prefer to use the web application to Gmail on my regular computer to resolve this kind of things.   Look them over and if they are perfect duplicates, just delete a.    If they are different for a reason, you will notice checkboxes in the left column.  If you select two, you have the choice to merge.

  Hope this isn't a stupid question.  I am new to the storm and the forums.  I had my storm for about a month.  Just realized that when I'm in phone mode and do up the call log screen, the entries don't "highlight" when I finger scrolling on the entries. So now I can't tell which entry I am on to reconstruct because it won't highlight.  I would appreciate any idea on how to restore the ability to highlight.  Thank you!

  You should have the ability to highlight an entry in the call log screen.

  Try a battery pull:

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

  1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  Wait... you mean you installed an update of the OS? And after that, this behavior started? If Yes, then the most common thing to do after an update which translates questions is to perform a reload of the OS. Sometimes the update process have errors and others... with a reload often cure the problems.

  My Z10 does not display the names of the callers stored in contacts with a prefix or area code. For example, an incoming call on contact JOHN SMITH, whose number is stored as + 44 7976 667668 shows not her name but just 07976 667668, but if the number of JOHN SMITH has been stored as 07976 667668 (without + 44) then the incoming call appears her name. Does anyone know how to remedy this? or is it a design error / omission by RIM?

  I want to develop an application where I can store all contacts from the phone to memory card, then plugin this memory card to another blackberry phone and retrieve. Development must be done using waterfalls

  I can't reproduce this. I have my account and LinkedIn contacts Microsoft, and if I search by name I can find matches of two lists of contacts.

  This happens for all contacts or only your Microsoft account? If you do a search for a do you still see no results for "a" in the search results page?

  Thanks for your reply, unfortunately this does not provide a solution.

  Problem is not in the size feature but the zoom of fonts. It is enlarged to the maximum and no way to get it back to normal again.

  I just removed the battery forcing a hard reboor to my Q10. Things are now back to normal.

  I'm trying to find a feature in the new Q10 Blackberry, I used to have in legacy devices. This feature allows to specify a ringtone for a certain contacts, it's like I have a different sound profile for these contacts and if it sounds my phone into silent mode for this contact group.
