Options to see file size and type?

Where can I turn on options on an image and get the file size and type?

Thank you.

Stan,

You can see the file type by placing the cursor on the file in the library view, and it will display the name of the file with the extension jpg, nef as tiff.

If not in library mode, go to grid view it's size in pixels of the files as well as the name of the file to the format.

If you are not able to see it go to view > display Option.

Check the option display the label header

Hope thatt helps.

SSDS must be similar in size and type to raid 0?  I have a 2009 MBP 2.66 bicoeur.  SSDS are an old sata 250 GB Samsung 850 pro III and an all new Intel 160 GB (320 series) sata II.  The hard drive on the MBP interface is 3.0 GB/s sata optical drive interface is 3.0 Gbit/s

If it works, it will be almost double the read and write rates, I understand.  I am aware of the increased risk of data loss.  Will only use for backup data.

How is it difficult to set up raid 0?  I don't know the first thing about raid 0, 1, 2, 3?

    Thank you

    Stu

If it works, it will be almost double the read and write rates, I understand.

RAID offers for the SECOND and the following read/write of the same LARGE file acceleration and not otherwise. Any intervention of reading or writing in different files eliminates the acceleration. Any acceleration is much more dramatic on rotating discs, because it can eliminate some of the 10 ms or more long 'dead time' while the reader is a new track and the controller must wait for the correct data go in the position under the read/write head. Acceleration on the low-latency SSDS is far less dramatic.

The system drive / boot is particularly bad choice for a RAID, it reads and writes small random files in all directions. Who will get no acceleration.

You can best be served by creating a workflow that allows separate readers for the source files to Destination files, files of zero and drive system / boot.

    --------

RAID is usually done on the disks that are exactly or nearly the same. Too slow response of one of the discs can cause the RAID failure.

RAID support has been removed the disc utility GUI in 10.11 ElCapitan, probably because too many casual users got into trouble with the built-in GUI functions. You need to use the diskutil command in the Terminal, or buy the SoftRAID(4) package.

Above code is obsolete.  CS5 won't get these styles in the Panel styles CSS.  Ancient sites are not simple to work with.  They must be converted to modern standards.  For this markup stripping and re-writing of CSS styles HTML styles.

    This is a normal paragraph

Put your CSS styles between your documentandTags:

Alternatively, create an external style sheet to which your HTML documents are related to this:

  • The file size and resolution

Hello, I am currently working on a graphic that is displayed on the web. The file size should be 1000 x 1000 pixels and the size of the image can not go more than 250 KB. My picture is to the size of good size, but it is at least 947 kbs.

How can I change the size of the file to 250 KB without losing the strong resolution?

We have the options to save the file as a jpeg, png and gif.

    Hello!

Start by opening the image in Photoshop, by clicking on the word 'File' in the menu bar, mousing down to 'save for Web '. The record of the Web dialog box is displayed.

Click on the tab "4 - Up". Now you click on the four components, use the drop-down menu (circled in red below) preset to select different options and compare their relative size of the quality and the file.

In the example above, I've decided to save my image as a JPEG quality closest to the original image while reducing the size of the file in the range I need. So to save this version, I click the pane at the top right corner of save for Web dialog box and click Save.

According to the type of image you are editing, your best results can be PNG or GIF.

  • The file size and YouTube

I'm relatively new to videos. I have incorporated a few YouTube videos on my site, but I started to play with the Prime Minister in the hope to learn to make my own videos. I wonder if someone could help me to answer a few questions about the size of the file.

A large image can greatly increase the size of the page file, in order to put a video on a page should have a huge impact. Or is the negligible impact because the video doesn't "load" until someone clicks on it?

When someone plays a video, it probably uses a lot of bandwidth.

So it occurred to me that the obvious solution to the file size band bandwidth problems and probably is bandwidth. Instead of hosting videos on my sites, I could upload them to YouTube and then embed them on my web pages.

If I use this strategy, which would help a lot in terms of use of bandwidth and page load time?

Maybe I should have put my question this way: what are the advantages and disadvantages of video hosting on your site rather than publish them on YouTube? I guess that I retain the copyright for all the videos I put on YouTube.

    Thank you.

If played from YouTube or your own web server, the file size of the video will not add anything significant to the size of the web page.  They are simply text files, very small in comparison.  Adding a video is a few lines of code pointing to the reading software and the video file itself.

If you host the file on your own server, then the bandwidth will count towards your monthly totals, while only hosted on YouTube, he obviously won't.  But the web page itself will not change much in size.

Don't know or the other of these issues matter much, however.  You can get hosting packages unlimited bandwidth for $100 / year, maybe less.

Copyright is another problem.  YouTube will take down or limit some videos under certain conditions.  (And these days, not all these conditions are fair and appropriate under the U.S. Copyright Act).  Their accommodation on your own site, this isn't a concern.  (However, it does not necessarily legal, either.)

  • PDF files download via imap with the incorrect file size and is considered to be "corrupted".

    Hello

I have a computer that is using thunderbird for imap emails. Any time I try to view a pdf, the open used attachment attachment and is reported as damaged. I downloaded a PDF directly from godaddy (mail host) and I can view the file properly. I also noticed that the file I tested was 105K when shown on the godaddy webmail but it was only 103K when appearing as an attachment under thunderbird. I also forwarded the email to myself since the webmail and when I open the email of forwareded, the size of the file is correct and the pdf file now opens. I would like to be able to open PDF files with thunderbird without having to send them to myself since the webmail. Are there settings I could change so that PDF files will be correct the first time?

    Thank you

Try this: open Tools/Options/Advanced/general/Config. Editor, double-click on the mail.server.default.fetch_by_chunks preference to change its value from true to false, close the Config. Editor, OK, restart TB and see if you still have problems to open the attachments.

  • How to display the file size and the number of files in the folder

I have a laptop and a desktop at home. When I open a folder on my laptop, my laptop display size (on the bottom right corner) and the number of objects (at the corner of bootom left hand) of this file the bottom of the window.  But I don't see this information on my desk. I tried to play with the Option - view folders... but always in vain.  Can I know what is the correct way of doing things?

    Hello cscs77, welcome.

The option that you are referring to I think would be the bar of "Status". This gives a test:

    1. open 'My Documents '.
    2. at the top, click on view > status bar

That should solve your problem. Let us know,

  • "The Archivelog file size" and the question of 'db_recovery_file_dest_size.

    Hello

According to the literature, DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST specifies the default location for the flash recovery area. The flash recovery area contains copies of files of control current multiplexes and remake online of newspapers, but also archived redo logs

And DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE specifies (in bytes) of the strict limit on the total space to be used by the target database recovery files created in the flash recovery area.

Here's the info from my database (10 gr 2, RHEL 64-bit database is in archivelog mode):

    Log_archive_dest_1 = ' LOCATION = + recovery /'

    db_recovery_file_dest = '+ RECOVERY. "

    db_recovery_file_dest_size = 550 GB

    -Size of archivelog files:

    Select

    SUM(BLOCKS * BLOCK_SIZE)/1024/1024/1024 SIZE_GB

    Of

    V$ ARCHIVED_LOG

    -> 672,39 GB

If I have question used flash recovery area space, it is to be:

    SELECT name

    , ceil (space_limit / 1024 / 1024) SIZE_M

    , ceil (space_used / 1024 / 1024) USED_M

    , decode (nvl (space_used, 0),)

    0, 0

    ceil ((space_used / space_limit) * 100)) PCT_USED

    V $ recovery_file_dest

    ORDER BY name

    NAME SIZE_M USED_M PCT_USED

    + 563200 8 1 RECOVERY

I'm confused where are the archivelogs saved if not + recovery?

Total current total size of ARCHIVELOG files if "672.39" but especially the request saying that only 8% of the db_recovery_file_dest was used. So obviously they are either not in + RECOVERY or they are not accounted for.

I chedk on ASM using asmcmd:

    ASMCMD > cd ARCHIVELOG

    ASMCMD > ls

    2013_09_05 /.

    2013_09_06 /.

    2013_09_09 /.

    2013_09_10 /.

    2013_09_11 /.

    2013_09_12 /.

    ASMCMD >

Whereas the query on the view V$ ARCHIVED_LOG shows me the file names for the month of August as well.

    I don't know that I am misunderstanding/missing something. I'm lost :-(

    Please advise!

    Thanks in advance!

You wrong understand archiving at the area of fast recovery works. You have done the fast recovery area to a certain destination and also set up check-in to the same physical location: but Oracle doesn't know that they are in the same place. You must explicitly set:

ALTER system set log_archive_dest_1 is 'location = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST';.

and then Oracle will understand and follow the space in the paper archive used against the db_recovery_file_dest_size.

  • (sorry) another question re: the file size and readability

    Hello

Just upgraded my computer at work that we are doing more work for our customers currently and I wanted to take it to the next level with a few videos instead. First Elements 9 installed (and after some minor problems) works reasonably well.

We do a quick e-mailable (less than 10 MB) film to send to multiple recipients (including a soundtrack).

We aim for around 40secs altogether.

Now... In courses run in Snow Leopard on a new Mac, I found only one type of file that I can export to who actually allows me to watch the video on my Mac. Even the mpg files do not play in iTunes or QT (even most of the .mov files do not play in quicktime format )

The file type only I learned to work until this is a .mov with a vid of test I did, but it was around 325 MB 01:30 min videos!

Anyone able to shed some light on this at all?

Just in case it helps at all, the movie will have to be playable by Mac and PC, preferably (if only one, then the PC because most of our customers is based on PC)

Thanks a lot for your time!

I'll let you know if I can understand that!

    D

It is virtually impossible to create a video that small, Jeb - at least one that is still visible quality.

Even if create you it as a Flash or animated gif, it is small enough.

This is why the videos are not sent by e-mail. It's much better to put the video on a website and then email a link to this site in the e-mail message.

When sending an email, I have a default setting of the Arial font to 10 points. If I change what it comes down to Arial next time I use it. I don't know how to change the default setting.

    Hi Robin,

What e-mail program you are using (name and version)? Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, a program that you access through your browser (and if yes, what name and version of the browser?) something else (and what version and/or year of this product)?

What Version of Vista you are using (for example, 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 or other)?

    Thank you!

P.S. I am pretty sure that the procedure is simple and can be done-, but it varies depending on whether you use, so I want to provide the information that is applicable to you.

EDIT: Just a few alternatives which may help:

If Windows Mail, go to Tools / Options / compose / font settings (ditto for fonts Signature if you use signatures) and change it to anything you want.  Save the changes and close Windows Mail, and then reopen it.  Your default sending policy should now be what you set with this configuration.

Any drive with enough capacity will work. Any type of CD is limited to 800 MB, DVD 4.7 GB and Blu - Ray up to 50 GB (I think that these values are correct, correct me if I'm wrong). If you have a blu Ray burner, blu Ray disk will work.
