  When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system.   So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near future

  Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible

  You can find some Windows 2 k and drivers for the Satellite Pro A40 XP in Toshiba Archive area.

  As you can see this series of mobile could be found in the area of the Archive because it s an old model of laptop. Because this series is a little older Vista drivers are not available and if you want to use the Vista on satellite Pro A40 then you have to collect the Vista drivers at your own hand.

  I could give my experience with Satellite M30 and HDD upgrade possibilities.
  To my knowledge the M30 Sat supports a 40 GB, 60 and 80 GB HARD drive for sure.
  In my opinion, you can use the 100 GB HARD drive, but more large HARD s drive will not run and works correctly.
  So go to a smaller size of HARD drive and enjoy the laptop!

  My toshiba Satellite Pro (model L450D) supplied with Windows 7 preinstalled. Unfortunately due to virus, I had to format the HARD drive and reinstall an operating system, but only had a legal copy of Vista. Now utilities Toshiba comes back with a message saying that it is blocked at the start, because it is not compatible with this version of Windows (vista).

  All the options to download anything for this model of laptop is in Win 7, of course. Where can I find everything I need to be compatible with Vista please?

  I think Vista is not solution. First Vista is not supported, so if you can't find the Vista stuff on the Toshiba download page you won't be able to find it anywhere. Best option for you is to order the original Toshiba Recovery disk for your machine. You will get the recovery Win7 image, and you can use it whenever you want.

  I own a laptop Satellite Pro 3410, it has pentium celeron 600, 64 MB of ram and 13 '' dstn display. I want to upgrade my ram, somewhere, I read that it can be improved with 256 MB, so that there then 320Mo. My question is now, what I have to use 2 pieces of 128 MB of ram or can I use 1 piece of 256 MB of ram.   Normally it only uses the modules of memory up to 128 MB. But if your laptop is running with this 256 MB module, there should be no problem.

• HARD drive activity on satellite Pro M30-114

  The HDD on my M30-114 SatPro stops and restarts in normal operation. For example, when typing in Word the HARD drive stops (either disk HARD turn sound, light flashing) for about 30-45 seconds every 5 other minutes. It restarts itself or if I do something that requires the HARD drive activity (as by saving the document I was working on). The system DOESN'T freeze, I can continue my work and there is no other obvious problems. But I know this isn't normal.
  I don't know but that m might have started after I've updated the Bios to the latest version provided by Toshiba.
  Any ideas, suggestions, similar experiences?

  Well, as far as I know, that there is a current normal HARD drive.
  This also happens on my unit. It s not not some kind of hardware malfunction or OS.
  The use of many applications e.g. Word starts sometimes HARD drive activities. It of a just done.

  I went to two local stores to buy a memory stick, but they are not able to find my netbook to their suppliers, so that they have no idea what memory modules could go well with my pc. I know that the installed RAM module is a DDR2 at 800 MHz. So, any module of ram with these specifications should work correctly?

  The laptop has Intel GM45 chipset and the chipset supports up to 8 GB of memory. This means that you can install 4 GB module in both memory slots. As you already wrote DDR2 800 MHz is the correct specification.

  Theoretically, each module with this specification will work, but I recommend the purchase of high quality of Kingston for example modules. I have good experiences with this brand :)

  Updating the BIOS is not necessary for the upgrade of RAM so you can keep the current version.

  Just FYI: this device can handle with max 2 GB of RAM and the compatible and tested modules memory vivid are DDR2-533 512 MB (PA3412U - 2 M 51) and DDR2-533 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G).

  If your device has 512 MB of RAM, I recommend you to put another 1 GB of RAM and I think that the device will work like crazy. ;)

  The two screws are hidden beneath this thin plastic cover!

  But why don't you check the user manual * Chapter 8 memory

  There should be a detailed how instruction update the modules of memory.

  If you don t have user manual, then you could download it from the homepage of European support from Toshiba!
