ORA-00904 during execution of the functions and procedures (IDE version 4.1.0.19)

Recently, I updated my Oracle SQL Developer to the latest version (see below) and now when I try to run the function or procedure of the IDE, I had an alert with the error: "ORA-00904:"OBJECT_ID": invalid identifier." Code provider 904 ". Previous version of IDE works pretty well. What is the problem?

Oracle SQL Developer 4.1.0.19

Version 4.1.0.19

Build a HAND - 19.07

It seems that OBJECT_ID added to ALL_PROCEDURES for the 10g DB version, but after the version you have (10.2.0.1.0).  I don't have a link to the documentation specific to hand Oracle, but see the last comment by Steven Feuerstein in the next blog...

PL/SQL challenge: ALL_PROCEDURES changes over version (5980)

Typically when generation SQL for a particular version of the DB with SQL Developer, only major (10) and (more rarely) secondary numbers (2) gets checked, if your problem is one of those borderline cases that are easy to miss and less likely to get fixed. Whenever a customer has a specific need to use an older version, Oracle expects usually only the last set of patch (for example, 10.2.0.5) would be used.

    Original title: identity of unknown folder

    During execution of the backup and maintenance on one of my computers (Windows xp home, sp3), I noticed a folder and the file that I can't identify.  The name of the folder is cc68f6b7a7ca948eefb018f001 and the name of the update.exe file.  The properties of the file that it is a Windows Service Pack installation.  I tried Googling the name of the folder, but found nothing.

    Can you tell me with regard to this issue, and what, if anything, I have to do?

    Thank you.

    When some programs (including Windows) installs things, it can create a temporary folder composed of 20-30 random letters and numbers or random numbers and letters in the root of the drive of the volume with more free space.

    This explains why the records are sometimes on your C drive or any other drive - the most space?

    For example, you can see a similar to or called folder:

    D:\9470bb12e8a4f3447657236478e41c5

    There may be other folders and files in this main temporary folder such as amd64 and i386 platforms.

    They should normally be deleted when the installation is complete, but sometimes they are not - especially if the installation fails.  They are harmless but annoying.  You can think something is wrong when there are no or fear, that the files are really necessary.  To avoid confusion, you can delete the temporary files.

    If your installation has failed or the installation does not remove the folder to the random name when it finishes running again installation will be another folder at the random name.

    You may be able to identify installation (out of curiosity) by looking at some of the contents of the folder and decide if this installation was not serious, just remove the files/folders.  If the installation does not work for some reason, run again just installation will create a new temporary folder to the random name so the old temporary folder is really useless.

    Records are sometimes tough to remove.  Even if you are an administrator on the system, you might get a "sharing violation", "access denied", "used" or type similar message when you try to delete temporary folders.  Facilities sometimes use different permissions that can have a regular user with the administrator group.

    There are many methods to try to remove the folders, and some require third party programs to install or change some windows settings that could compromise the security of your system if you do not change them back when you're done.

    Start your system in Mode safe mode (by pressing the F8 key several times just before XP attempts to load) is one good method to try to remove the files because it does not have to make any changes to your system configuration or by downloading third-party programs.

    If you are running XP Home Edition, the following section on turn off "Simple file sharing" does not apply to you since in XP Home, Simple file sharing is always turned on.  If you are running XP Home Edition, skip the next few paragraphs and resume where it says:

    "If no part tool above work try a third popular called Unlocker.

    If Safe Mode does not work you can change the security of the folder when you start in Normal Mode to give your username full control over the files by navigating to it in Solution Explorer, click on tools, Folder Options, view and in the advanced settings window, uncheck (at the bottom of the list) use simple file sharing (recommended) and click OK.  This disables him recommended simple file sharing on your computer if you want to turn it back on when you're done to make everything you do.

    Right-click on the files of interest, click Properties and click the now visible security tab.  Change the properties, but you need (for example, select your user name, and check the box to allow full control), click OK to apply the changes.

    With usage share of active simple files (recommended) the checked the properties of the folder tabs are:

    General, sharing, customize

    With the use of sharing files simple disabled (recommended) box unchecked, the properties of the folder tabs are:

    General, security, customize

    Now, try to manipulate/delete the folder.

    It's a good idea to go back to the Explorer and the cheque in the box easy to use sharing files (recommended) when you have finished making everything you do.

    If none of the above works, try a popular third-party tool called Unlocker.

    Unlocker can be downloaded here:

    http://www.emptyloop.com/Unlocker/

    If you use Unlocker, be sure to install because he wants to add a bunch of options, addons, shortcuts and other extras that you don't need.

    You must add the shell extension so when you right click on the offending file, you will have a Unlocker option to choose.  I would just install it long enough to clean up the leftovers and then, I usually just uninstall and all parts of it.  You can always install it again another day if you like.

    Unlocker can be uninstalled when you have finished using it.

    Reboot when finished to ensure that boring records are really missing.

  • How to move the functions and procedures of packages in a schema?

    Hello

    I have less than the needs for a work at home and my question is if anyone can point me in the right direction to find documentation that can help me solve below. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Write procedures and functions (included or not in packets) as .txt or .sql scripts. Once they have been launched in Developer SQL they should, in addition, the functions and procedures of packages in the current schema. If the current schema contains only 2 packages, pac1 (p11, p12 procedures and functions f11, f12, f13) and pac2 (contains the p21 following procedures, p22, p23 and f21 and functions f21 (case of overload), running the scripts produce the following effects:)

    • Procedures p11, p12, p21, p22, p23, and f11, f12 and f13 functions will be created in the current schema.
    • PAC2 will contain 2 instances of the function of overload-f21; they will be kept in the package, without be created in the current schema. If all overloaded procedures/functions will be kept in their original packaging
    • If pac1 contains variables, cursors, and public types, keep us only the details of the package (and remove the body); usually if the packages contain no overloaded functions or procedures the body will be removed and if no variable, cursors, types of public then we will remove the header.
    • If in the triggers, procedures and functions we will call procedures/functions packages (procedures and functions moved into the current schema) they reference will need to be updated (via editing the body or recompilation) for example if pa1.p12 will be replaced with p12.
    • Scripts must have numbers in the next series (01... n) and the characters that explain the content.

    My only advice would be to remember that these are public forums and if YOU can find them, therefore cannot your instructors.

    In addition, those are horrible procedure names and function

  • ORA-28112: failed to perform the function of guidance - error in the Application Builder

    Hey all,.

    I added a political function to one of my paintings, and now I get this error when I try to update a report region that refers to this table.

    "The query cannot be parsed into the generator. If you believe that your query is syntactically correct, check the generic "columns" box below the source of the region without analysis. "ORA-28112: failed to perform the function of guidance."

    If I remove the policy then everything works fine. My application works well with the policy in place. I just get these errors in the application builder when refreshing a report or a LOV that references the secured table.

    The analysis schema is APPL_USER.

    Here's the political function:

    FUNCTION DOCUMENT_TABLE_POLICY (object_schema IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL
    object_name IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL)

    END IF;

    -UNAUTHORIZED USERS CANNOT SEE ANY DATA
    RETURN '1 = 0';
    END;

    This is how to set up the policy:

    BEGIN

    DBMS_RLS. () ADD_POLICY
    object_schema = > 'APPL_USER '.
    , object_name = > 'APPL_DOCUMENT '.
    , policy_name = > 'APPL_DOCUMENT_POLICY '.
    , function_schema = > 'APPL_USER '.
    , policy_function = > ' APPL_SECURITY. DOCUMENT_TABLE_POLICY'
    );

    END;

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • How does GF determines number of threads of execution of the function.

    Hello

    Depending on the topic, I am interested to know how GF determines the number of threads to yield to the execution of the function on a JAVA virtual machine.

    Also, is there a way to override this property?

    We use GF 6.6.4

    Thank you very much

    David Brimley

    Hi David,

    The number of threads of FE is determined by max (UC * 4, 16)-processors being, essentially, of hearts in this example. You can increase your threads of FE by setting the DistributionManager.MAX_FE_THREADS system property.

  • Oracle form functions and procedures in the APEX, how?

    I'm working to recreate in the APEX, already existing read only forms in Oracle Forms. Report features interactive APEX among other things, in fact worth as well as to target a different audience than utilizies versions of Oracle Form. Versions of Oracle Forms use a lot of pre and post query triggers, PLSQL functions.

    In Oracle Forms that places, these functions can be found in the "Units of program" section of the form. A feature typical of this kind, based on a particular Mission ID route, collecting names of regular passengers, is shaped with a comma and a space after each of them, in a single string that is returned and displayed the list of passengers of a line.

    I have all of this written code so I can move most of the main request of the Oracle form in an interactive report. These functions and triggers called in the form of the "Units of program" section of the Oracle form rather than stored in the database schema in a package, where they would go inside the APEX? Can I create a 'shortcut' in the APEX and call it from the interactive report "Source Région"? I can create the PLSQL function at the level of the region of the interactive report or page level? Or, my best bet creates a package that is stored in the database, all these functions and/or proecedures I might need the original form of Oracle?

    Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

    RLBickham wrote:
    I don't think I've been pretty clear in the description of the specific thing I want to do, simply, it does not reach the level of forms of conversion of the APEX. It is basically a problem of PLSQL function.

    I have an interactive report which is currently 90 percent of what I want however, each line, which represents a Mission may have several feet. Each arm has two places or ICAO codes attached to it. Based on the number of Mission, I want to loop through the array of leg, collect all the codes of ICAO for this Mission, put them together in 1 variable separated by a coma and add this variable to display the columns in this interactive report as the last column.

    In Oracle Forms, I have a function registered in the database, which is called in the main query. Maybe I ask a question that does not need to be asked, but anyway my question is can I put this function currently in the database somewhere within the interactive report and somehow reference it via Http, or should I just stick with set of functions and procedures in the packages stored in the database and called the conventional way?

    You could switch the function to the database and call it from the report query, but it sounds as if it were superfluous. In the report query using any form of Re: 4. How can I convert rows to columns? is appropriate for your version of the (unspecified) database.

    -----

    When you have a problem, you will get an answer faster, more efficient including information as much information as possible from the outset. This should include:

  • Full version of APEX
  • Complete operating system DB, version, edition, host
  • Architecture of Web server (EPG, SST or APEX listener/host operating system)
  • Browser (s) and version (s) used
  • Theme
  • Model (s)

  • Region/section type (s) (particularly as to distinguish if a 'report' is a standard report, an interactive report, or indeed a 'update report' (i.e. a tabular presentation))

    With APEX, we also had the chance to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproduce things is the best way to solve most of the questions, particularly those relating to the layout and Visual formatting. If you expect a detailed response it is appropriate that you take on an important part of the effort by getting as much as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for help on specific issues, then we can see firsthand.

  • Doubts in functions and procedures

    Hello world

    Can someone tell the exact differences between function and procedure?

    My doubts are
    1. If the procedure can return and is not necessary it must return a value (in other words, if we want to come back and is not as one can write procedure) then why do we need to function?

    2. I tried to call a function that updates a table in the code, I got an error saying that the function does not use DML.

    3. I want to know the combination that
    procedure a. can call a function and vice versa?
    b. function (which uses DML instructions) can be called from sql statement?
    and if all other combinations are there let me know with reasons.

  • Same algorithm in function and procedure so that one will be better?

    Why is better to pl sql function calculates a value instead of the procedure?
    If I apply the same algorithm in function and procedure while one will perform better?

    Siddharth Singh says:
    Oracle documentation

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B10500_01/AppDev.920/a96624/08_subs.htm

    This:

    Generally, you use a procedure to perform an action and a function to calculate a value.

    Does not mean that the function are better to calculate a value, but you usually use functions to calculate a value.

    Usually, a function is can be more useful if you plan to use in a query.
    that is to say:

    SELECT myfunc(col1) from mytable;

    That you can't do with a procedure. Functions are also usually limited to the returning a single value, while procedures may have several OUTPUT parameters.

  • SDO ORA-00904 identifier valid after patch 20544696 and 20225988 (CPU Apr 15)

    The seller of our web mapping system uses a syntax that contains the identifier SDO_GEOM. SDO_GEOMETRY and similar. An example simplified using the point constructor ODD as in...
    Select sdo_geom.sdo_geometry (2001, 81989, sdo_geom.sdo_point_type (531599, 184530, null), null, null) double;

    This syntax has stopped working in the TEST database, after I applied the patches April 2015 CPU. It generates an ORA-00904: "SDO_GEOM. "" SDO_GEOMETRY ': identifier not valid, which in fact I was expecting. The package SDO_GEOM in schema MDSYS, often referenced without the option scheme by the public synonym, do not contain a type or function SDO_GEOMETRY. I've never used this syntax and wrote instead...

    Select mdsys.sdo_geometry (2001, 81989, mdsys.sdo_point_type (531599, 184530, null), null, null) double;

    .. of course, who continues to work. However, to my surprise, I found that the syntax of the provider, which generates the ORA-00904 in all databases of fix post, works perfectly well in all our pre patch databases.

    Is the same for all other types in the MDSYS (SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY, SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY...) schema.

    I'm dealing with the strange situation where I not only understand why something has stopped working; first of all I do not understand why the syntax of the seller has already worked.

    We are using Oracle 11.2.0.4 EE with Oracle Spatial on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. Patches that have been requested are

    2) patch 20225988: WINDOWS ORACLE JAVAVM COMPONENT BUNDLE PATCH 11.2. 0.4.3

    Kind regards

    Torsten

    Hi Torsten,

    Well, here you have a kind of strange thing Oracle Spatial.  If you told me that

    SELECT SDO_GEOM.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001, 81989, SDO_GEOM.SDO_POINT_TYPE(531599, 184530, NULL), NULL, NULL) FROM dual;

    is a valid statement, I'd say of course not. But on my production server which is the power supply 11.2.0.4.5, it works!

    However, on a 12 c test server it does not work.

    All I can say is that you are right in everything you say.  Oracle has removed everything that made this weird syntax once the work and it seems that the PSU April stops for good.  Your provider needs to fix things and perhaps address why they used such a weird thing in the first place.

    Like you I don't see what makes this function on 11g.  There is no synonym that I see.  And if wrap you it in an anonymous block fails

    DECLARE
       foo SDO_GEOMETRY;
    BEGIN
       SELECT SDO_GEOM.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001,81989,SDO_GEOM.SDO_POINT_TYPE(531599,184530,NULL),NULL,NULL)
       INTO foo
       FROM dual;
    END;
    /

    Strange thing indeed.  I guess there could be a wider discussion here on what patches are in turn brought in 11g and if the side effects are always worth.

    See you soon,.

  • execution of function and procedure

    Hi all
    I question in the execution of the procedure and run oracle database feature.
    I want to know what is faster in execution procedure or function.

    can I see the timeframes of proceedings and select request
    I want to see one time not CPU cost or anything else.

    I'm waiting for your answers...

    There is no difference in cost between if something is a function, or a procedure.

    The decision-making process must reflect usage only. For example you can not use a procedure in SQL.

    If you want to break things down to focus more on tracing 10046 and 10053.

    See time only is roughly equivalent to cut all your fingers to see how something is your thumb.
    Timing is only a small part of what you should look at.
