    Please let me know if I can directly start services using "net start < myservicesName >" or any other steps must be followed.

    Hi Hulk

    You * should * be able to directly start services (Oracle will make crash recovery). The cause is

    S/O-error: (OS 33), the process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.

    This majority often occurs when a backup or AV program strives to save or to analyze the virus file. The solution, assuming that it is one of them, do not use backup directly on the database (or use an agent provided with the program backup or RMAN) or exclude directories from Virus detection database.

    When I checked google, said some, it could be undo tablespace issue, so I put the undo_tablespace parameter in the same as source target. Here again, I was getting the same error.

    The source database has not being upgraded, if this isn't a problem with the upgrade.

    can give any output as to how this problem can be solved?

    Thank you

    First: DUPLICATE is NOT restore!

    Second: If a database hits ORA-1092.

    There will be errors in the alerts log.

    Before even this announcement, you should examine the error online and browsed the alert.

    Troubleshooting is any dumping using ctrl-c/ctrl-v and sitting with your shoes on your desk and your hands behind your head to whistle and wait for replies to come.

    Remove "DEFAULT TABLESPACE Tbs_1" of your script, create your database and create this tablespace later. Make default later if necessary.

    If I understand the second part of the question, you can use DBMS_SERVICE to create an alias on both servers.

    Then according to the ROLE they are in you can just connect.

    First of all an entry should be added to the tnsnames.ora to client that uses a SERVICE_NAME instead of a SID.

    ernie =
     (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
           (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = primary.host)(PORT = 1521))
           (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = standby.host)(PORT = 1521))
           )
           (CONNECT_DATA =
           (SERVICE_NAME = ernie)
        )
     )

    Then, the "ernie" service must be manually created on the primary database.

    BEGIN

       DBMS_SERVICE.CREATE_SERVICE('ernie','ernie');

    END;
    /

    After creating the service must be started manually.

     BEGIN

       DBMS_SERVICE.START_SERVICE('ernie');

     END;

    Several of the default settings can now be set for "ernie".

    BEGIN
       DBMS_SERVICE.MODIFY_SERVICE
       ('ernie',
       FAILOVER_METHOD => 'BASIC',
       FAILOVER_TYPE => 'SELECT',
       FAILOVER_RETRIES => 200,
       FAILOVER_DELAY => 1);
    END;
    /

    Finally a trigger to START database should be created to ensure that this service is only available if the database is the main.

    CREATE TRIGGER CHECK_ERNIE_START AFTER STARTUP ON DATABASE
    DECLARE
     V_ROLE VARCHAR(30);
    BEGIN
     SELECT DATABASE_ROLE INTO V_ROLE FROM V$DATABASE;
     IF V_ROLE = 'PRIMARY' THEN
     DBMS_SERVICE.START_SERVICE('ernie');
     ELSE
     DBMS_SERVICE.STOP_SERVICE('ernie');
     END IF;
    END;
    /

    Check the status using lsnrctl status

    / home/oracle: > lsnrctl status

    "Ernie" service has 1 instance (s).

    Stone comes from the Oracle example, you can add anything you want, and then if you make a passage or failover, it is transparent to your users.

    See this for more details

  • Basic question on the client connection to the Fund with several oracle instance

    Oracle 11:

    I have just a basic question about how doing listener/customer determine how oracle instance to connect to:

    1 tnsnames.ora and listener defines the configuration of the host and the port is that how he comes to know? I'm just trying to understand if the request comes to the listener how listener knows what Oracle instance to route traffic to?

    2. when I do sqlplus / as sysdba how knows what Oracle instance to connect to?

    Look at the differences

  • ORA-01034: ORACLE not available ORA-27101: Kingdom is no Linux-x86_64 shared memory error: 2: no such file or directory process ID: ID of Session 0: 0 serial number: 0

    Hello

    In our society, we have oracle server on Suse Linux with two instances TETA and TETA201.

    One day on a server broke down, because there is no free space due growing files 'archivelog.

    After that I manually deleted several older archivelog files, but after the reboot, the server error occurs when connecting to the database:

    "ERROR:

    ORA-01034: ORACLE not available

    ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

    Linux x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory

    Process ID: 0

    "Session ID: serial number 0: 0"

    $ ORACLE_SID is set to TETA, if export it to TETA201 connection works correctly

    Oracle service startup there is no errors but only one instance is running TETA201 works correctly

    Hi Jen,

    There is a known issue with Windows module. We are working on fixing it and the new module should be available soon. I'll update as soon as we release the fixed module.

  • E.M.P. Configurator windows crashes after Oracle Instance screen 11.1.2.2

    eHi,

    We intend to install the bases and the IR Services.

    We are able to properly configure all components, but because of the lack of space in the disc last configuration web server is down

    After that space is provided when we open EMP Configurator is crashing after Oracle Instance screen and does not go any further.

    We saw.the error in configtool.log below

    Even if the space available is now EMP Configurator crashes. Help, please.

    If this is a new installation, you can try to delete/rename user_projects & reconfigure all the components again (creating new Shared services registry). Just make sure that you have enough disk space before proceeding.

    Kind regards

    Santy.
