try to put the product key in after a reinstall it won't let me
I had to reinstall vista on my computer, and then he told me to buy anouther product key I do not understand why. can someone helpYour machine was manufactured before the release of Windows Vista.
The COA sticker is of a type that cannot be used on computers that were shipped with preinstalled Vista - so this key has been moved from another machine and is not valid on this one.
For which version and edition of WIndows is the slot machine license, * according to the COA sticker on his case? *

I have a picture of my error and my entered product key I can scan the product key located on the back of my orange folder of Windows XP Home Edition which I can send you if you want . The CD is Standard - Version 2002.
Last night I tried to repair my windows because MS Word had not acted on the right long - still had to open in safe mode. Since the repair has not fixed the problem in verbal form, I thought I would uninstall and reinstall this evening.
In case it will help, there is a set number of CD on the record as well: X 08-88574 .
Help, please! I am a professional job and can not do my job!
Thank you.

I use a mac with VMWare Fusion. I had Windows Vista installed, then upgraded to Windows 7 sometime ago. I have been for the most part, however, using my mac without access to windows. For the first time in awhgile, I tried to open windows to be educated that I needed to update, so I did. Then I asked my key productr and got the following response: your product key is not valid. need original key product, not upghrade or words to that effect. What should I do?

unauthorized product key?
OK Hi
I recently had a virus on my computer and I had to reinstall xp on the dell cd gave me when I bought my computer a long time ago. in any case
After that I reinstalled windows XP Home Edition, I remembered on my old computer I had also installed service pack 2 on windows professional (on a cd that I got from Microsoft) I've decided to install this right after. However I have if I don't have the product key while I was going to call microsoft
and ask them because on the box it has the barcode and the model # I guess, but after stumbling on yahoo answers, I discovered a way if you have the actual disk, you can open a file from the cd and get the activation code, so I've done this and installed it. But now it seems
that windows asks me to authenticate the OS. So I tried to use the same code with no luck (he said the unauthorized product key) and it gives me 30 days to get the product key.Now I don't know what to do because on the box, there is a certificate of Authenticity on the box and I know it's true because I got it on my computer before I reinstalled windows. So could you guys tell me what I need to do I don't want to pay for another operating system, after I know I paid for this one.
PS - is it possible to downgrade windows without losing data because I know that you can upgrade, but you can downgrade.
Help, please
There is no code embedded in a CD of Windows XP product activation. In order to activate an installation of Windows XP Professional, you will need a product key 25-digit Windows XP Professional genuine typing. You have the product key?

On another thread Microsoft Answers, I was advised to do an "inplace upgrade" to Vista to solve a problem I had with the opening of Word documents.
I followed the instructions but was unable to do the upgrade in place of Vista.
(The 'Upgrade' option has been blocked during the installation process. And there is no other choice available "Troubleshooting", even if the directions had mentioned that this could be an option. There is no workaround solution mentioned about how to proceed where it upgrade when the 'upgrade' option has been blackened.)
So, I did a clean install of Vista - after saving all my files on an external drive, of course.
This fixed the initial problem that I ask.
Now, however, I can't access the internet after you complete this process. I tried via wireless and services to broadband.
Reads the error message: "Windows doesn't detect any hardware networking."
How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.
See you soon.

Hello
I recently haven't been able to burn a CD with Windows Media Player (he worked last week, but not now). I get an error message "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. The link between the library item and its digital media file associated with may be broken. "Try to fix the link or delete the item. There is a web help option which says that to fix a link, you click on the blue icon next to the item, then click "Browse this article. But the only icon I see is a little blue triangle next to individual songs in the library pane or list, there is no icon next to the name of the playlist. Although the click with the right button on the blue triangle gives me a few options, "Browse this point" is not one of them. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong and how can I sort it please!
