ORA-08103 OBJECT NO LONGER EXISTS

Hello

With the help of 11.2.0.3

Receipt message

ORA-08103 OBJECT No. LONGER EXISTS when you run a merge statement in the table that is part of the procedure.

No change in the years/grants etc and the process itself has ran subsequently as ok runs within a calendar.

View some internet topics mentioned some bugs in this area.

Would have someone seen similar before with 11.2.0.3

We checked the alert log and no message showing corruption.

Thank you

A likely cause of this error is that some DOF was done on one of the segments involved in the source query or the target table.  A truncation or displacement of the table could do or an ER - build.  It seems more likely, since it ran ok afterwards.

There are certainly bugs and various problems of corruption that can cause the error.

This note on MOS is a good reference: OERR: ORA-8103 "object no longer exists" master Note / troubleshooting, diagnosis and Solution (Doc ID 8103.1)

IT is said the object does not exist, but there is no, and I have no probem to execute in sql developer. What should I check?

The most likely cause is that the underlying table / partition is truncated and reloaded or an index is being rebuilt.  What is happening in a different session than you run this query in.

  • ORA-08103 export newspaper despite the existing table

    Hi all

my database is on oracle 11G.

I ran a backup of my database of production export and I met the following exception error in my log:

    . . export of table TABLE_NAME_1234
    EXP-00056: ORACLE error 8103
    ORA-08103: object no longer exists

I logged in my database to see that this table, TABLE_NAME_1234 exists.

the error indicates that the object no longer exists...

    What could be the reason?

    Thank you

    KK

May be at the start of the export of the table, the table has been truncated by some other session in the database.

Can you try to resume the export and return.

  • Cannot delete alias if the referenced object does not exist

My JavaScript does not alias in OSX when the referenced object no longer exists. The bug occurs on a network volume when the referenced object has been deleted or moved from another system. Do you have any idea how to remove/relpace this alias dead with JavaScript? Why it is not possible to remove an alias with a missing object? Thank you for helping me!

    myShortcut.remove ();

    Bildschirmfoto 2012-03-21 um 10.52.26.png

Hmm. I have no problem removing broken aliases created in the Finder, but am not able to delete the symlinks broken on remote filesystems created with ln -s (or withile.createAlias ()f). Seems to be a bug for me, as the broken symbolic link can be deleted otherwise (in the Finder or with rm ). I guess you can use doScript() and an Applescript script:

    app.doScript('tell application "Finder" to delete POSIX file "' + myShortcut.fsName + '"', ScriptLanguage.APPLESCRIPT_LANGUAGE);

Slow, however. You can use a 'do shell script' Applescript with rm but the multiple levels of bids and escape are a puzzle.

OK, so you have a software firewall (IPTables) running.  By default, it will not be configured to accept connections on port 1521.  You have two options...

    (1) disable the firewall completely.  Run these commands to do this...

    stop /etc/init.d/iptables

    chkconfig iptables off

The first command stops the service.  The second command prevents revived at every restart of the OS.

    (2) add an exception to the firewall for port 1521.  I'm not a Linux expert, but it should be something like this...

Change the configuration of IPTables with vi...

    VI/etc/sysconfig/iptables

Add a new rule as follows...

-A of ENTRY m state - state NEW-m tcp tcp - dport 1521-j ACCEPT Pei

Save and close, and then restart the IPTables service...

    /etc/init.d/iptables restart

NOTE: you must always change the name of this server to something other than "localhost".

If your entry for "ORCL" tnsnames decided to 'contact' indicated info.  He tried to send a ping packet to the server identified by "(HOST = host1.example.com)". "  Oracle tns transmitted the request to the network stack of BONES for the resolution and routing.  Here, 'host1.example.com' host name could not be resolved to an IP address, or if it was, it was an IP address that is a dead-end.

It's the only tns configuration file that is important for the problem at hand.  And we already knew what he said, since the output of your command of tnsping.

Please help me what I do in configuring the listener and tns.

    Michel

Is "host1.exampl.com" the real hostname of your machine "host1"?  Or you made that blur in your ad - thing quite legitimate to do this for security reasons.

Whatever, this is not really a matter of tns, unless of course 'host1.example.com' is really what you put in the tnsnames file, but your server "host1" became really something else.

Assuming that 'host1.example.com' is the correct value, debugging starts with the following:

    [oracle@host2 admin] $ ping host1.example.com

    [oracle@host2 admin] $ tracerout host1.example.com

  • Error ORA-08103. Please guide

    Hello

    DB version: 10.2.0.4.0

    (1) I've truncated table.

    (2) tried to insert into the table using DB Link (insert... Select * from table_name@db_link) and also through IMPDP. Both commands failed with ORA-08103.

    (3) I renamed the table and tried to execute a create table command. Create table command also failed with ORA-08103.

    (4) subsequent analysis showed that any create table command fails in the associated storage of the schema with ORA-08103.

    (5) EXEC. DBMS_SPACE_ADMIN TABLESPACE_VERIFY('tablespace_name') failed with ORA-08103.

    (6) DBV showed not all blocks corrupt for data files depending on storage space.

    (7) I have added a new data file to the concerned storage space and re ran the IMPDP. This time around the import succeeded.

    (8) I have send to add a table in the same tablespace which was previously throwing error ORA-08103.

Someone kindly you will suggest why Oracle have behaved in this way? How is it, adding a 5 GB data file tablespace concerned sentencing question? This means that the existing data files are not ok or corrupt?

All gudiance in this matter is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
    SID

I think you have a corruption in this table space. I prefer to create an another tablespace with new data files. Whenever you use the 'old' table space and try to write to the data file damaged, I think you will continue to get the same error.

    Concerning

    Paja

Published by: hamza on July 2, 2012 04:50

I created all the data of the same files as the old database. so when importing all users will be created

In my first test I didn't create all the users before importing, just give this command all users imported without any errors.

Assuming that 'data files' mean 'spaces', are you sure that all the storage spaces have been created (including temporary)?

I did the same thing to dozens of times (not with a version so old, I must say), and I got these errors when some tablespace has not been created.

  • SQL error: ORA-01840: value not long enough for the format of the date of entry

It is a delete SQL in a driver of demand, which gives no error, but does remove all the lines either. I have converted the removal 'from' to ' Select * ' and may see the following error:

Select * FROM PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40 WHERE EXISTS (SELECT FROM 'X'
PS_GPDE_DV_ELIG_MO ELG WHERE ELG. EMPLID = PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. EMPLID AND
    ELG. EMPL_RCD = PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. EMPL_RCD AND TO_DATE (TO_CHAR (ELG. PRD_END_DT
    "YYYY"). TO_CHAR (ELG. PRD_END_DT, "MM"). '01', "YYYY-MM-DD") =.
    PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. GPDE_DV_EVT_EFFDT AND ELG. CAL_RUN_ID = "CAL_0812")
    Error report:
SQL error: ORA-01840: value not long enough for the format of the date of entry

The interesting thing is that if I attach a condition of emplid, then the SQL above does not give an error and return lines:

Select * FROM PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40 WHERE EXISTS (SELECT FROM 'X'
PS_GPDE_DV_ELIG_MO ELG WHERE ELG. EMPLID = PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. EMPLID AND
    ELG. EMPL_RCD = PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. EMPL_RCD AND TO_DATE (TO_CHAR (ELG. PRD_END_DT
    "YYYY"). TO_CHAR (ELG. PRD_END_DT, "MM"). '01', "YYYY-MM-DD") =.
    PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40. GPDE_DV_EVT_EFFDT AND ELG. CAL_RUN_ID = "FM_CG_0812")
    and emplid = "1234"

now, if the number of lines is identified (by giving more number of emplids), it begins to give the error when the number of rows returned is greater than about 30. It is completely independent of what employee is used, so there is no question of data dependence.

Function optimizer cost is off and a subquery nest is off on the init.ora file

    subquery UNNEST= false

    optimizercost_based_transformation = off

I don't know if it has something to do with this problem.

    Explanations would be welcome!

    Thank you
    Vikas

I think it is question of data combined with a not very sensible date format mask (it could fail when the null data, because of your concatenation with '01' and work when not null data).
Have you tried with a simple TRUNC?

    Your code:

    ...TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(ELG.PRD_END_DT, 'YYYY') || TO_CHAR(ELG.PRD_END_DT , 'MM') || '01' , 'YYYY-MM-DD') =PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40.GPDE_DV_EVT_EFFDT...

    After change:

    ...TRUNC(ELG.PRD_END_DT , 'MM') =PS_GPDE_DV_TRIG40.GPDE_DV_EVT_EFFDT...

    Nicolas.
