Hello

Please, help relsove under the number:

I use Oracle gateway for Sql Server 11.2 on Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi, on an IBM Power p595 AIX 6.1, SQL Server 2008

Help, please

Hello
It seems that the connection to a gateway was closed for some reason any and then you tried to use again in the same session that gives the ORA-28511.
There is a timeout of the gateway by default but which is 20 minutes, while you are having a problem after 4 minutes and the timeout of the listener is set to 0.
You have timeout settings configured in sqlnet.ora?

Kind regards
Mike

    Hello
    I'm running into a problem when executing a procedure to the Oracle 11.2, which inserts into a table in a MySQL database via a database link. MOS has suggested that there is a problem with my unixODBC driver. MOS showed me a resolution, but I don't know how to do step 2.

    1. Please make sure you have a recent IBM ODBC driver for ISeries (ex: iSeriesAccess - 5.4.0 - x.x.x86_64.rpm).

    2 then recompile the source of the UnixODBC driver manager:
    -First to get the source of the unixODBC driver manager
    -Set variable export environment CFLAGS = ""-DBUILD_REAL_64_BIT_MODE ""
    -Now, follow the instructions on the home page of the provider how to bind the unixODBCdriver Manager.
    iSeriesAccess ODBC driver didn't need to be recompiled if you have a recent version.

    Can someone provide me with more details on how to do this? I am doing on SLES 11.
    Thank you
    Joe

    They described steps:

    1. Please make sure you have a recent IBM ODBC driver for ISeries (ex: iSeriesAccess - 5.4.0 - x.x.x86_64.rpm).
    -Online goto IBM web site and download the driver IBM iSeries ODBC (64-bit) for Linux

    2 then recompile the source of the UnixODBC driver manager:
    -First to get the source of the unixODBC driver manager
    -online www.unixODBC.org
    -Set variable export environment CFLAGS = ""-DBUILD_REAL_64_BIT_MODE ""
    -online not required more than version 2.3 is the default build in this way - but you can set it to be sure.

    -Now, follow the instructions on the home page of the provider how to bind the unixODBCdriver Manager.
    in general => to bind the unixODBC driver manager, you must call:
    . / configure
    do
    make install

    All the options available for optiony are listed on the web site of uniodbc:
    http://www.unixODBC.org/download.html

    iSeriesAccess ODBC driver didn't need to be recompiled if you have a recent version. -online which is already discussed in #1.

    When I tested missing missing datafile and control file scenario on the primary database, it worked (Advisor to recover data)

    However, missing datafile scenario does not work on the physics of the day before.
    Here are the steps I followed:

    3. in spite of the error, published "recover datafile command.

    6. of course RMAN commands have failed to restore the missing data file;
    So I renamed the file to original and rebooted repeat services applies - this restore the data file and now the configuration state of the DG is normal.
    *********************************************************************************

    Not quite sure if I'm still he hands the right way or if the error above is related to RMAN not able to synchronize with the physics of the day before.

    The documentation I want to talk to is here (1 paragraph):

    It looks like maybe the firewall on the server. Install the converter directly on the machine you want to convert, or temporarily disable the firewall.

  • Connection to the remote database using Oracle 11 g Builder

    Hi all

    This could me stupid question, but I have installed Oracle Forms and reports 11g on Win 7 machine. I copied the file "tnsnames.ora' on the record ' ORACLE_HOME/Network/Admin". We use Oracle EBS R12 and I want to create a new report using 11 g.

    Using the report wizard after providing a simple query, we need to connect to the database. And even after the entry of TNS, I am getting error connecting to the database, following
    "REP-0501: the specified database can be connected.
    "ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified.

    I am able to connect to the same database using the Report Builder (10.1.2.0). Is there another place where I need to set the TNS entry? How can I solve this error? Please guide...

    Kind regards
    Priyanka

    Hello

    In forms and reports 11g, default defined in tnsnames.ora is: ORACLE_INSTANCE\config.
    Please note that the ORACLE_INSTANCE is not the same as ORACLE_HOME.
    Example:
    ORACLE_HOME = D:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1
    ORACLE_INSTANCE = D:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\asinst_1

    If you set the admin TNS_ADMIN variable in the registry, you can point to a new location for tnsnames.ora

    Kind regards
    Alex

    I have my java application and I want to connect to the server timesten present on the remote computer, and besides I don't have approval to intall Timesten Client or App on server timesten server(weblogic/glassfish). The only thing I got is my java application with the java connection class airplane to connect to the server of Timesten of my machine.

    Is it possible or not? And if it is possible please help me with some ideas...

    Thanks in advance!

    It is not possible. The client/server protocol is owner and not documented, and even if you can run that would be completely supported.

    What you need to do is to set up your own "server" running on the machine TimesTen. In this server, you implement all the conditions for access of database for your application. Your application then talks to the server using your own protocol to access TimesTen. Even if it is more work is a model of good design, and, if it is well designed and implemented, can deliver truly more powerful than the normal client/server.

  • I can connect to a remote server using Dreamweaver CS6, but not Dreamweaver CC 2015

    I used exactly the same parameters, but not able to connect with Dreamweaver CC 2015.

    Adding a few other questions in the survey of Nancy,

    If the CS6 and CC are installed on the same machine, you have any antivirus or firewall installed on your machine?

    If you disable firewall and uninstall antivirus of your machine?

    You are on the home network corporate network?

  • Apple TV constantly loses the connection to the remote

    I have the latest version of Apple TV and remote control (touch screen version). The TV will say that he has lost the connection to the remote control, and then a second later he will say that he has restored the connection. This is repeated every 10 to 30 seconds.

    It was before the last software update and still happens after him.

    Sometimes even if the remote is fully charged.

    It happens after restart of the Apple TV.

    Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Looks like interference to me, check your environment for other devices that may cause interference (babyphones, phones wireless, wifi, devices etc.)

    Hi Anil,

    You try to connect a Windows 7 Home Basic?

    You cannot use Remote Desktop connection to connect to computers that are running Windows 7 Starter Edition, Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Edition Home Premium.

    When '@proddb01' is not used, then sqlplus can only connect to a local database, & there is no local database on the client system

  • ORA-28575: could not open the RPC connection to external procedure

    Hello

    I get the following error:

    ORA-28575: could not open the RPC connection to external procedure

    ORA-06512: at "SDE". ST_GEOMETRY_SHAPELIB_PKG', line 1325

    ORA-06512: at "SDE". ST_GEOM_UTIL', line823

    my environment:

    ORACLE 11 g 2 (11.2.0.3)

    IBM AIX 6.1

    ESRI software: ArcSDE 10.1 SP1

    Since I'm on oracle 11g release 2, I used the method of the external procedure:

    under $ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin

    in the "extproc.ora" file, I added the line

    SET EXTPROC_DLL = ANY

    and still the same problem.

    so I made the (listener and tnsnames configuration method) where that might solve the problem. However, it does not help...

    I also applied the oracle metalink 1256784.1 ID DOC

    but without success and I'm still getting this error (ORA-28575).

    After extensive troubleshooting, I discovered that this will happen in one of two situations:

    1. the external procedure library .so is corrupted.

    OR

    2. the external procedure library .so is a 32-bit... .to check that the Unix ( file lib.so), the exit command should give you 64-bit

  • ORA-28575: could not open the RPC connection to the external procedure agent

    Hello world

    Could you please help me with this problem? I am trying to configure Oracle XE 11 g for external procedures, this because I need to access certain procedures in a DLL in Delphi 6.0, but even with the simplest of the dll that I do, as a sum in C, I can't pass this ORA-28575 error: could not open the RPC connection to the external procedure agent.

    It's my listener.ora:

    )
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = CLRExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME = C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server)
    (= Extproc PROGRAM)

    )

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myPC) (PORT = 1521))
    )
    )

    DEFAULT_SERVICE_LISTENER = (XE)

    and that's my tnsnames.ora:
    XE =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myPC) (PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = XE)
    )
    )

    EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC0))
    (CONNECT_DATA =

    )

    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = CLRExtProc)
    (PRESENTATION = RO)
    )
    )

    Do you know what could be the problem? I'm out of ideas and google search...

    Also, is there a difference in a call to a DLL in VB and one made in Delphi?

    Thank you and best regards,
