Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 after Patch 11.2.0.1.5

I applied Patch 11724930 - 11.2.0.1.5 patch Set update to an Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 database. Everything went all according to the installation instructions. My database has started up nicely, but now if I check the parts that they do not reflect the new version. Please help is this ok?

    This syntax has stopped working in the TEST database, after I applied the patches April 2015 CPU. It generates an ORA-00904: "SDO_GEOM. "" SDO_GEOMETRY ': identifier not valid, which in fact I was expecting. The package SDO_GEOM in schema MDSYS, often referenced without the option scheme by the public synonym, do not contain a type or function SDO_GEOMETRY. I've never used this syntax and wrote instead...

    I'm dealing with the strange situation where I not only understand why something has stopped working; first of all I do not understand why the syntax of the seller has already worked.

    We are using Oracle 11.2.0.4 EE with Oracle Spatial on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. Patches that have been requested are

    1) patch 20544696: WINDOWS DB BUNDLE PATCH 11.2. 0.4.15
    2) patch 20225988: WINDOWS ORACLE JAVAVM COMPONENT BUNDLE PATCH 11.2. 0.4.3

    Well, here you have a kind of strange thing Oracle Spatial.  If you told me that

    SELECT SDO_GEOM.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001, 81989, SDO_GEOM.SDO_POINT_TYPE(531599, 184530, NULL), NULL, NULL) FROM dual;
    

    is a valid statement, I'd say of course not. But on my production server which is the power supply 11.2.0.4.5, it works!

    However, on a 12 c test server it does not work.

    All I can say is that you are right in everything you say.  Oracle has removed everything that made this weird syntax once the work and it seems that the PSU April stops for good.  Your provider needs to fix things and perhaps address why they used such a weird thing in the first place.

    Like you I don't see what makes this function on 11g.  There is no synonym that I see.  And if wrap you it in an anonymous block fails

    There is a bug where even after installation of the patch you will see in the center of update.

    But with the version in the image sound joint extension done.

    That IS the only thing that you wanted to talk, or there are also other issues?

  • Oracle 10g with 10.2.0.5 patch app thin?

    I'm working on creating a fine app for oracle 10g. I am able to create the thin application without patch and everything seems to work normally, but in our situation, we must apply the 10.2.0.5 patch. When I patch the program, everything still seems to work ok, so I'm going through with the postscan, which also seems to work fine until there finishes.

    I don't know if this is related, but I get the following warnings after the postscan:

    1. the warnings that you are seeing after Postscan aren't a problem, in my view, they are for most of the newspapers that were not copied to the ThinApp of your application project (probably because access is denied because some application process is running and use).

    2. the error you see regarding hh.exe during the generation probably occurs because it is a 64-bit binary (and ThinApp 4.7.3 can't stand not the 64-bit binaries), in all cases, please open the file package.ini in the project folder (the folder that contains the project ThinApp registered Oracle 10 g, generated by the capture process) and find the section [hh.exe] and add 'Disabled = 1' under it , and then try again to build again by running build.bat.

  • Captivate 4 - after patch, published projects don't break but skip

    Last week, I installed the patch to upgrade my version to Version 4.0.1 Build 1658.

    Once the hotfix has been installed, if I publish a file with a Table of contents, it works fine the first time.  However, the second time I run the published file, the first slide appears a fraction of a second and then it jumps to the first quiz question (if I quiz questions in the project), or to the last slide, I visited before the closing of the project.

    If I turn off the COT and republish it, I can navigate around the course, close and restart, and it behaves perfectly.

    I prefer to use the table of contents to have to manually build the keys.

    I did a search, but I have not found this problem elsewhere (does not mean he isn't here, just that I couldn't find it ).

    Any ideas about this, or do I have to submit a bug report?

    It is a problem for my company - we have a lot of people working on a sliding major Oracle, and OCD definitely saves on development time if we could use it.

    BTW, we examined the issue with projects that have been published the week before the patch was installed.  Projects with the table of contents worked correctly, and without OCD projects worked correctly.  So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with our environment.  This occurs only with files published after the hotfix has been installed and use the table of contents.  Yes, I checked the settings on the buttons and click areas to make sure that the break was always successfully configured.

  • Blue screen after Patch Tuesday during HW failure diagnosis

    People,

    I have a HP Pavilion Elite m9357c plus, 6 GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit edition, with a replaced boot drive (Seagate 1 TB ~1.5 years) and replacemante (Gigabyte with radiator cooling) video card and 1 GB of RAM - also about 1.5 years.  System has a Hauppauge and Windows Media Center Edition video capture card.

    Starting after this last Patch Tuesday (Nov 2014), the system, which has been stable for years, has experienced several BSOD.  After the premiere, I started a full scan of the system with Norton 360, but it blue screened again before the end.

    I then ran an Avira rescue disk, boot from the DVD of Avira scan, scanned all drives and found no problem.  I removed a few old programs to reduce the overall number then ran a registry cleaning.

    Last night after 30 min of streaming video, the screen is dark and came back with another BSOD.  I turned off the system for the evening

    Today, after starting in safe mode with network, review logs for clues, the monitor went black and unresponsive.

    Currently, when you try to turn it on, the blue led lights, fans work, the drive blinks ~ 3times in less than 5 seconds (then no more), the blue network light is on, the DVD will blink and cycle maybe (a little more than normal).  The screen remains black and does not start the BIOS or anything else, nor the second monitor (VGA, another HDMI is).  The keyboard does not and caps lock/num lock light does not enter the LED in the mice came out.  The system has no "beep" as usual when starting

    I think I have two issues here: first is a problem with something Patch Tuesday and the second a hardware problem.

    Forums offer anything by a tired CMOS battery, to a failure of the CPU, low-power, the defective boot drive.

    In these circumstances, someone at - it suggestions?  I'm pretty technical but not a guru of any measure.

    I changed the CMOS battery and start the system.  Right now, in safe mode with network through newspapers and analyses.  My geek don't think that friends at work is a battery, since the system quit while on.  Apparently, this system can become inop when the battery is too low, even if it's on.

    I am developing a custom Manager to deliver the change Oracle logs.

    When errors have occurred, normally, I can throw RuntimeException or return Status.ABEND. Then OGG would be the error in the log and stop the process.

    The following code works fine when operationAdded() failed (extraction process will report abend, and when extraction of restarting after errors, the operations in the transaction failure would be referred to the Manager).

    I switch to Version 11.2.1.0.1 OGGCORE_11.2.1.0.1_PLATFORMS_120423.0230 Version 12.1.2.1.4 OGGCORE_12.1.2.1.0OGGBP_PLATFORMS_150303.1209 20470586 . Everything works fine now.

  • 11.1.2.2 planning does not start after patching

    After application of the correctif.300 at Calc Manager, Shared Services, space and work planning, and then followed by patches.302 et.303 Calc Manager and planning in my Production environment, my planning service will not start.  All other services will start fine.  The patch install sequence as described in the Read-me files has been followed as directed.  The same fixes have been applied in my Test environment and all services, including planning begin normally.  I restored apps for application server since all the patches on my production environment, redeployed and redeployed to the Web server.  Still not start planning.  All other modules to boot normally.  Don't know what I could have messed up or where to look.  Planning papers not indicate any problem.  Should I completely uninstall planning and then reinstall and configure?  Is it possible to uninstall all Planning without uninstalling all EMP products?   Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Finally, I determined the problem!   Before applying the patches, I had increased the size of the Java heap for planning via regedit.  Apparently when the patches are applied and app redeployed, it creates new entries of xms and xmx jvmoption in the registry in addition to those I had already increased.  The nine were the weakest of the default 128 m and 256 m.  For some reason any enforcement of the jvmoption entries caused a conflict that the it appears that it uses a bunch of xms size that was larger than the size of xmx.  Not sure if it was the real problem, but once I put all the entries of xms 1024 m and all entries of xmx value 8192 m, the service starts normally.

    So hopefully this will help someone else who may come across this in the future.

    I'm have slammed on my security assessment quarterly Oracle EPM Shared Services is not an automatic disabling user accounts after x period of time.  We migrate to 11.1.2.2 and wonder if the SSP has been improved with this security feature.

    If this is not the case, what are other companies doing this problem?

  • Can't see LUN after patch host ESX 3.5

    I have 2 2 ESX 3.5 host cluster and 2 data stores of each: an equalogic and a single CX300 SAN DELL (the two clusters are equal)

    last week I have ESX 3.5 patch a first cluster on the two hosts with no problems (I've updated with all the patches available on the vmware website, from 2009 to 2011)

    I just patched the first host on the second group, then after aplly the patches, I don't see LUNS on the DELL CX300 data store, Lun Equalogic are ok. The second host who is unblemished still see the two data warehouses, Equalogic, and Dell.

    I tried to reboot the host and rescan vmhba3 (CX300) but it says 0 targets and no LUN (either a total disk space of 1 to 4)

    No idea how to solve this problem?

    Depending on the behavior you described, seems associated patch. You do not yet see LUNS on adapters for storage, which can mean that you have a matter of presentation. You can verify that the LUNS are presented to that ESX Server on the side of storage?

    I'm unable to control myself (which I have not access Metalink), but if someone can confirm that there was a CPU/hotfixes published for our Oracle database. His Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 and running on Windows 2008 Server R2, Datacenter Edition. Its never been patched or CPU applied.

  • Msg of error in the workflow after patched to 11.1.2.1.600

    Hello!

    We recently patched to 11.1.2.1.600 for our planning solution and we get an error msg in the workflow.

    If the "hierarchy of planning unit" is configured as 'Free form', we get an error message if users open "Manage trusts", select "Details" of a planning unit and then '' change of status. '' The message error is "is there no valid action that can be performed on the selected planning units. If the "hierarchy of planning unit' is defined as 'Bottom up', it works fine.

    Everyone know this behavior in the 11.1.2.1.600 - patch? Is there a solution?

    An SR is also raised to Oracle, so I hope we get a response from them soon.
