Oracle 11i - 11.5.10.2 - and Java

Hello

In Oracle 11i there are two types of concurrent programs for Java Java 1) stored procedure 2) Java concurrent program

What is the difference between the two? and how can I find the source code underlying for the same thing.

Thank you
R

Hello

The Java stored procedure: the execution file is just a Java stored procedure.

: Java concurrent execution file is a program written in Java.

Please refer to ("The Oracle Applications Developer Guide" - chapter 20) for more details.

    I'm looking for what I think is a system profile Option in Oracle Financials that will allow me to open simultaneous program define both as simultaneous program executables so that I can copy and paste from one to the other. I can do this in our dev environment, but we've recently refreshed the Test environment and I lost this ability.

    I use the responsibility of the system administrator in 11i and refer to where you describe your concurrent programs and executable files.

    I guess that's a system profile option, but I'm unable to find it.

    Hello.

    I think you have the opportunity to box Close other forms to be verified. In the main menu, choose the Tools menu and see how is - this checkbox status. If it is enabled, just unchek it. You will be able to open two forms at the same time.

  • In general, is it better to use java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp instead of oracle.jbo.domain.Date?

    Hello world

    During playback of Oracle ADF Real World Developer's Guide, I noticed the dates match occurring in JDeveloper is different from what is the list in the book. JDeveloper is failing to oracle.jbo.domain.Date, but according to the book:

    DATEjava.sql.DateDATE type is mapped to java.sql.Date if the column in the table is a no time didn't need information zone.
    DATEjava.sql.TimestampDATE type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if the column in the table has a component "time" and that the client needs to zone information.
    TIMESTAMPjava.sql.TimestampThe TIMESTAMP type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if nanosecond precision is used in the database.

    In general, is it better to use java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp instead of oracle.jbo.domain.Date? Using java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp could save me some headaches conversion date. And, is there a place in JDeveloper to display these maps? I looked around and didn't see anything.

    Thank you.

    James

    User, what version of jdev we are talking about?

    In GR 11, 1 material versions db types date and timestamp are mapped to types of domain data that represents a wrapper for the native data types. The reason was that the framework can work with the domain types regardless of the underlying data type.

    Since Oracle 11 GR 2 maps the types DB to java types (default selection, you can change it when you create a model project, you can set the Data Type Mapping). Once the pilot has business components define you cannot change this setting it would break existing components such as eo or vo.

    So if you are working wit 11 GR 1 subject, you must use the domain types, if you work with GR 11, 2 or 12 c, you can use the domain types, but it is recommended to use the java type mapping.

    Client Oracle is not required when JDBC is used to connect to the remote DB

  • Installation of Oracle SQL Developer and Java

    I finished installing the Oracle Client without problems. SQL Developer opened for the first time and he asks me the full path Java.exe.

    That's fine, but when I entered the java.exe I just don't ask again, no errors. Repeat to infinity.

    I have the most recent Java SDK installed and tried the 32-bit and 64-bit versions (jdk 7u4). I even tried to install Oracle Client version 11.1.0 AND 11.2.0 to see if that makes a difference, but it is all the same.

    I uploaded a screenshot if that helps: http://i50.tinypic.com/mjtqte.jpg

    Any ideas?

    Hi Gunnar.

    Documentation:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E25259_01/doc.31/e26419/install.htm#sthref8

    Ideas:

    -Do not use java7
    -Use JDK JRE not
    -On widows, there is a version of SQLDeveloper, including jdk 6 java
    -Instant client is not necessary - but if you want to use use at least 11.2.0.2
    -SetJavaHome updated to sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf to point to the JDK
    -There is some confusion about 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems, java and SQLDeveloper, you can search the forum for more details, for example: put on the title: "Unable to start Oracle SQL Developer.

  • Need help - financial Oracle 11i vs (payable Oracle and Oracl pay) r12

    Hi all

    I am beginner in Oracle Application and request your help answering my questions.

    Background:
    Three years ago, my company intended to implement ERP Oracle Financials.
    To facilitate the plan, an open call for tenders was created to find the best implementation of the company at an affordable price.
    The tender was created when Oracle Financials 11i.
    When the contract was signed 2 years ago by my company and the winning company, it is mentioned that the installed version must be the last.
    The answer to the needs, the winning company said that payment activity will be facilitated by Oracle Payable.
    Now, the project is going and the Oracle has the version of recommendation 12.

    Problem:
    To 11i, there was only a single module related to the activities of payment, that is Payable to Oracle.
    Recommendation 12, Oracle has a new module, i.e. Oracle payment, which was the subdomain of Oracle Payable.

    Question:
    1. is my view on the relationship between Oracle and Oracle payment payable above correct?
    2 - is my company has the right to ask for payment of the Oracle installation?
    3. If the answer to the number 2 is Yes, what is the basis for this?

    Thanks for the explanation.
    Sorry if I ask a simple question.

    Kind regards

    Hi Dodydh,

    I'm afraid, your statement "Oracle to recommendation 12, a new module, i.e. Oracle payment, which was the subdomain of Oracle to pay." is not correct.

    Oracle payments is a version upgrade of Oracle 11i iPayments and this module is supposed to use Self service modules. But lots of payment which is part of the creditors of the Oracle was moved to Oracle payments.

    You may very well ask to implement payment lots (process related to the disbursement of funds) but not all of the module.

    Please let me know if you need more information.

    Kind regards

  • How the classification of versioning and patch Oracle 11i did.

    Hi Hussein.

    Sometimes, I see there are updates for Oracle 11i and mini/family/ORS patches are released. How these patches are classified. What's the point also releases average figures. For example 11.5.10.2.x.x for 5, 10, 2 and x.
    and any time a product includes names such as 11i. GSS. E.1.

    MakeAppsUtil completed successfully.

    Hi Samar,

    You have the bin directory, which is sufficient. Just follow the steps described in the note mentioned above to create the context file (using 'perl adbldxml.pl level = db'), then you need to run adconfig.sh (which is also in the bin directory) and this will create the scripts folder.

    Please read the note again once, it should solve the problem.

  • JavaScript and Java Communication

    Hello

    I'm building application using the ADF with Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3 as IDE technology. In the application in a jspx page, I have the < OBJECT > tag where the user can insert a special entry type (digital signature). These tag data are accessible in the page jspx through Javascript function. The problem is: How can I access the variables that define the function Javascript (which contain the digital signature data) through the Java BackingBeanclass(NO Servlet).

    He comes to the < OBJECT > tag and buttons that call the function Javascript :

    Note: I'm sure that Javascript hold the necessary data (digital signature object) and not all the functions I have.

    <OBJECT classid="clsid:69A40DA3-4D42-11D0-86B0-0000C025864A" height="75" border="2" id="SigPlus1"
                            name="SigPlus1" style="HEIGHT: 180px; WIDTH: 320px; LEFT: 0px; TOP: 0px;">
                      <param name="_Version" value="131095"/>
                      <param name="_ExtentX" value="4842"/>
                      <param name="_ExtentY" value="1323"/>
                      <param name="_StockProps" value="0"/>
                    </OBJECT>

                                    <INPUT id="submit1" name="Save" type="submit" value="Save" onclick="OnSave()"/>

    I tried the following approach, but it does not work:

    I've added a hidden filed in the page as and bind the value property of the entrance hidden from an attribute in the BackingBean java as follows:

    <input type="hidden" id="passSignToBean" value="${SRdetailsBean.sigObj}"/>

    and it's the Javascript function that will change the entry filed the value:

    function OnSave() {

    document.forms[0].SigPlus1.TabletState = 0; //Turns tablet off
    document.forms[0].SigPlus1.SigCompressionMode = 2; //Compresses the signature at a 2.5 to 1 ratio, making it smaller...to display the signature again later, you WILL HAVE TO set the SigCompressionMode of the new SigPlus object = 1, also

    alert("Test 1");

    document.getElementById('passSignToBean').value = document.forms[0].SigPlus1;

    alert("Test 2");
    }

    My idea is that when the user click on submit button Javascript OnSave() function will be called and change the value of the hidden input tag. Since, I lie this entry filed with an attribute in the BacknigBean java (I guess) the attribute in the bean must be updated to match the new value of the hidden entry filed.

    Important note:

    I don't use HttpServlet.

    I do not use java appland.

    When I am trying this approach this error occur when I try to use the attribute BackingBean of java. It is show NullPointerException:

    Here's the answer:

    First of all, you should not mix HTML and ADF.
    If you need to talk to call the javascript server-side you have to the server queue event.
    See this documentation with samples: http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/docs/tagdoc/af_serverListener.html

    Basically generate you server events that catch you with earpiece in the bean to backup and move your variable as a parameter to the event.

    And, how you call the bean javascript method:

    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); ExtendedRenderKitService service = Service.getRenderKitService(fctx, extendedRenderKitService.class); service.addScript(fctx, "");

  • Forms and Java 7

    Hi Forum. I know that there is no version of forms with Java 7 certified, Michael Ferrant last message in this thread is very clear: Forms 10 g and Java 7 (1.7) problems (unfortunately the thread is locked)

    On the other side, the Roadmap to support Oracle Java SE (updated 19 September 2012) says that the end of the Public updates of Java 6 is February 2013... but the Oracle now owns Java, is not really 'the other side '.

    My point is that the gap is adjusted and closing... If we use forms, we cannot upgrade to Java 7. but in three months, maybe, we SHOULD go to Java 7, because it will be the only way to be implementation of security updates

    Anyone know what is the official position of the Oracle in this case?

    Thanks in advance

    Alfonso

    Like Francis mentioned, forms 11.1.1.6 is now supported with Java 7. We also hope that a next version of 11.1.2.x will also support Java 7. I hope that details will be published soon.

    Regarding the support of Java 6, as long as you use an Oracle product that has a dependency on any particular java version and the product always has the right to support, the version of java to load will remain also supported in this case. In other words, because FMw (PFRD) 11.1.1 will be supported until 2014, we will continue to support the use of Java 6 if and only if it is used in conjunction with this specific version of FMw for as long that the liberation of FMw remains in support.

    The dates for support of Java apply to end users do not use in conjunction with other Oracle products.

    See these MyOracleSupport notes for more details: 952075.1 & 1470123.1

    Because the date and the policies mentioned in this and other forums or articles are subject to change at any time, it is always a good idea to refer to the official product documentation or contact the Oracle Support if you have any questions or. They can provide you with the latest information.

  • SQL, PL/SQL and Java can be executed in the database

    I read this statement in a book
    "SQL, PL/SQL and Java can executed in the database".
    What it means.
    It does not imply that we can write the java code in client tools such as sql developer?

    >
    This means that Oracle has a JVM that is built into the server. This JAVA virtual machine can be used to run any Java classes that you have loaded (using the loadjava utility).

    Alternatively, you can write stored procedures that are executed in the same way as basic Java PL/SQL procedures.

    >
    It has nothing to do with where the java source code is written. The java source code or the code of the class file must be loaded in the database to be executed.

    The Oracle database is unable to interact with the Java code that runs outside the database as part of the same application.
