• IE and Java... not feeling the LOVE

  I try thinapp Java JRE (latest) so it is used when the user starts the local IE on the desktop.  Is it hopeless?  I know that I can create an entry point of IE on the Java exe created by Thinapp but then you do not initiate local IE.  I hope that the user can browse the web and Java can load as needed.  It is so elegant with a thinapped Firefox, I just Plonk controls (Java, Flash, etc) in the OptionalAppLinks directory and it works.  I realize in this case Firefox and IE local are apples and oranges: Firefox is thinapped and local IE is not.

  Am I Chase my tail here?  I hope not to build a 'custom IE' with all the plugins I have to babysit.  Can I create a thinapp package is just a shortcut to IE?  Set the OptionalAppLinks parameter, then unmold in plugins as I do for Firefox?  I guess I wonder what others are doing.

  You are right with your findings. As it is not an application captured, you will not be able to use integration.

  Just: why not make a 'captured IE? Simply start capture, capture of end and activate IE as the main container. In this case, you can assign an OptionalAppLinks folder and file in your java, shockwave, flash and all that more modules. Another advantage: your users will not "corrupt" your friendly and clean system with temporary or downloaded files (or virus).

  Looks like that you always include parts of virus/malware (or some of the many friends who came along for the ride) or the damage they did is large enough.  If you notice symptoms like this now - there are probably other issues, you haven't noticed.  What I mean is that you're probably not clean and even if you are - the damage can be so vast, you should probably do a clean install and your stuff from restoring backups.

  RECORD type is only supported in PL/SQL for SQL, you must use the OBJECT type.
