  Yes! : o my version of firefox (here in the company, so don't shoot me for that or for IE8 ;-)) here is 6.0.1.
  Strange, it will not work on your side. I have fixed and above it was of the most common issues I encounter when people implement the modal pop-up window, but I can't identify all the other weird things.
  So I'm doing this to the application url is of course http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=59156:2

  
  
  1. I click on the icon to change to the rank of Eugene
     
  2. Modal opens
     
  3. I make a few insignificant change to the first or last name
     
  4. I hit Apply Changes
     
  5. In the modal page shows a loading for just a short flash icon
     
  6. The modal farm
     
  7. 'Action Processed' is added to the messages at the top of the page
     
  8. The report is updated and I see my changes
     
  
  The modal does not close when no changes are made however. Just hit apply changes without making any changes will submit the page but generates no success message, and therefore the self-closing may not work.

  Hi Patrick,

  I found the right solution for me. I left the treatment of the normal page on modal button (Submit form and option SQL INSERT). At the end of the processing of the page, I created another page dealing with DIALOGUE NARROW - one of the option in the LIST on the page that deals (no action). I created record and close modal just by using the processing of the page. In the parent page I got it before (update).

• Apex 4.2.5 skill builder 2.0.0 modal page plugin - refresh IR problem

  I recently installed, configured and used the Skillbuilder 2.0.0. modal plugin page and it works very well (thanks guys) on apex 4.2.5 installed on Oracle XE 11.2 - in addition to a question:

  The link change on the interactive report does not work IE fails to show the modal pop-up window after update of the region interactive report (updating can be done either manually by clicking on the GO button or dynamically in the autoclose even case).

  Change the link works fine when you first go to page 1 and continues to work well until the interactive report region is updated.

  I have tried different browsers Firefox, Opera, Chrome, IE 11 - all exhibit this problem.

  I tried debug and the Inspector of the element, but nothing gives traction on the issue.

  Note also: basically, I followed the Skillbuilder youtube and I created an interactive report as that page 1 with a shape as a page 2, then following instructions to create dynamic actions, model page on autoclose etc...

  I made a few minor changes (for example the table is a table of 'real world' of 8 columns - not emp;) I did a static height and width % and changed the automatic closing selector element of article #uSuccessMessage which seems to work for theme 25.

  Has anyone encountered this before?

  Check if you have set the "scope of the event" to "Dynamic" in the "Advanced" section on the dynamic action.

  When you refresh the interactive report elements are recreated and if the scope is set to static dynamic action is not connected to the elements more.

• skillbuilders modal page: how to submit the page parent after closing modal window

  Hello.

  I use Apex 4.2.1 on mod_plsql and Oracle 11 g 3.

  I installed version 2.0 of plugin Skillbuilders Page modal.

  In may, app, page 7 presents a button.  When you click on it, page 6 is displayed as a modal popup.  Users can change this modal page form fields and then click on a "submit" button.  This, in turn, automatically closes the modal page.  Users seek then to page 'parent' (page 7).  It all works very well.

  My problem: Page 6 (modal page) contains a collection of Apex.  This collection is updated when users click the submit button.  It is this collection to be displayed with the data updated on the page "parent" (page 7).  And so, I need to automatically send page 7 when the modal page closes automatically after clicking submit on the modal page.

  I tried a dynamic action that performs an action of "submit page" whenever the user clicks on the button send in the modal page.  But because the plugin uses an iframe to display the modal page, the action of page submit real that happens in the iframe, not in the 'parent' page (page 7).  When the modal page closes automatically, users are left looking at the page of 'parent' (page 7) with the previous data (not updated).  I have to manually refresh the page (via the browser) to see the data updates to the collection.

  And then, does anyone know how to automatically return the page of 'parent' when the modal window closes automatically?

  Your dynamic action automatic closing has not been set correctly. The action is not triggered on a specific item, but rather on the 'document '. Your selection should be 'Élément DOM' and the element must be "document".

  (Note that if you use several modal pages on one page, this action triggers for each of them. You can use the 'modal page id' in the creation of the page modal DAs must be able to stand out in outreach. You can find this in the documentation, too.)

  I have problem with CSS tag in the pages of the dialog box modal.

  If I use a few CSS changes for APEX DA label (for personal reasons), it works for a normal page.

  In Page 3, I created two elements P3_DEPNO and P3_DNAME. These elements are defined in modal page 3 of page 2.
  When I do these two visible elements on page 3 I can see, the values are set correct according to the value in column (depno) link on page 2.
  However, I would like to place these element values in the page title of page 3
  Title: PGE for DepNo: & P3_DEPNO., DepName: & P3_DNAME.

  It happens that the values mentioned in the title of the page are not the same (good) as in the items himself.
  Initially, they are NULL. Only when I refresh page 2 the values change but remain the same (last called depno) as long as I'm doing a new refresh of page 2.

  Page title is rendered before the page elements, that is why is not highlighted in your title.

• SkillBuilders modal Page does not work in Apex 4.2

  I'm trying to set up an example in apex.oracle.com of an application developed in Apex 4.1 and Page modal SkillBuilders plugin does not work.
  
  To view this situation, I have created a version simplified the application, with only two pages, apex.oracle.com.
  
  Workspace: EDIAZJORGE
  User name: TEST
  Password: test123
  Application: 66464 - Modal Page sample
  
  When the loading of the Page 3, dynamic Action is performed to open the Page 2 (interactive report) the page modally, but it does not work (the modal page does not open).
  
  Please note that this works at the Apex 4.1 and the property incorporated into frames in my application is set to allow.

  Erick,

  This is due to a change being made in the context of dynamic Actions in 4.2. Workaround for now is to change your load event of the resource on the DOM window object.

  It's working now. In the next version of the plug-in, you will be able to return to the (ready) Page Load event.

• Skillbuilders modal Page on IE8 with a theme of IE6 compatible Apex

  We use 13 Theme for some time now - I am aware that this is not the best theme in the world to use, but with the number of pages app that we have now it will take much time to upgrade to a more recent topic.
  
  Recently, we have implemented the Skillbuilders modal page with more than a little help from Dan McGhan and it looks amazing, using any theme of Apex, when using IE9, Chrome, Firefox etc. For some reason if you use IE8, we know the strange behavior.
  
  The modal box is not displayed the close button and the right and bottom sides are concealed within a parent div It is a known problem with the jquery ui dialog box, but I was hoping that someone could have developed a work around to make it display correctly.
  
  If you visit [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=62488:2:0 url:] this example with IE8 and click on names, it does not display properly.
  
  Can anyone help? We know the switching to a non - IE6 compatible themes we work, but I'd like to solve this problem without changing things in this regard.

  The page for the home page templates and the modal page lack DTD to the browser is running in quirks mode. Try to add the HTML5 DTD as it is simple:

  Note that this can result in other parts of the model of 'break '. These can be fixed, but depending on the severity, it can cost a lot of time to fix.

• How to limit navigation directly via the URL when the user tries to type the page number and access this page in ORACLE APEX 4.2

  Hi all

  I developed an application where I have 6 pages and 5 tabs and based on the user role I posted the tabs for the user to access these pages.

  But when the user, who doesn't have access to the particular page (say, page 2), but still the user can navigate to it directly by typing the page number in the URL.

  I want to avoid such scenarios.

  eg: http://Apex.Oracle.com/f?p=110:2 , when the user type this in the address bar, it navigates the user to this page even if this particular user does not have access to this page.

  How to prevent the user to navigate through the URL, if the user tries to navigate directly through URLS rather than tabs, I have to give the error message.

  You can also consider the protection of session state to prevent tampering of the URL.

• Update of the elements on the Page regarding filters in Oracle APEX interactive report

  I recently started using interactive reports in my Oracle APEX application. Previously, all pages in the classic application reports. The interactive report in my new page works fine, but now, I would like to add a summary box/table above the interactive report on the same page that displays values added some columns in the interactive report. In other words, if my interactive report displays 3 names of separate Manager, 2 separate offices and 5 different employees, my summary (box) will contain a line and three columns with numbers, 3, 2, and 5, respectively.
  
  So far, I did this job creating the box summed up as a classic report that account of the distinct values for each column in the same table that my interactive report pulls. The problem is when I try to filter my interactive report. Of course, the classic report is not updated based on the interactive report filters, but I don't know how I could link the two so that the classic report meets interactive report filters. From my research, there are ways to refer to the value in the search box of the interactive report using javascript/jquery. If possible, I would like to refer to the value of the filter of the interactive table with javascript or jquery to refresh the summary box whenever a new filter is applied. Does anyone know how to do this?

  Thanks, Patrick! I was always getting some of the old filters for a reason, but I was able to use the tables included in queries to retrieve my ID to report, that I used in the APEX_IR. Function GET_REPORT.

  Backtrack. First create a form page master detail. On this form Page then create the tree. So the shape and the tree will be on the same page.

  Someone please help with this request. I want to have a login to application page where users just enter their login user id and just click the button connection; Once they connect. I have an authorisation procedure which checks against the database for their user id table and redirects to different pages based on their role as defined in the database. If its a user id invalid; the process redirects to the page that is not permitted.

  Is it possible in the apex oracle to connect to the app with just their user name. We use Oracle APEX 4.0.2 version and oracle 10g r2 database.

  Previously, we had the LDAP authentication, which was no - ssl and we do not want to use it, as this will not be the policy of the company. We have tried to establish a SSL connection and create oracle certificate using s/n, but it always takes some time.

  Write a custom authentication scheme

  and simply return true without checking the password field. The author, Patrick Barel, gives an example:

  A custom authentication function can do what you want in terms of functionality, as long as it returns true if the authentication is successful or false otherwise.
