Oracle BI Publisher Desktop - what version of Java is supported

Hello

I just tried to install Oracle BI Publisher Desktop on a new machine, only to be told that I need a JRE, I did not know it was a requirement for a client machine. I have looked around the pages and can not find a specific requirement for a JRE for the BI Publisher Desktop tool. So, what's the minimum version of Java required for this tool? 1.5?

Thanks in advance.

Yes,

Get the latest, also, it will not be a problem even if you get later.

  • What version of Java is approved for JRun4 with CF9.01

    We use CF9.01 on 64-bit Linux with JRun4 and Apache, with the included JRE 1.6.17 or almost. I found no published list of Adobe approved for each platform Java versions, but we can move to a Java 7 software development kit for example?

    Given that we live as "server busy, too error number of concurrent requests that we bad to eradicate, could get rid of JRun and moving to TomCat be a wise thing to do?"

    Adobe are officially supported CF8 and CF9 with Java dev kit 1.6.0_24:

  • What version of Java 8 choose to download?

    He says I have to update Java, but the automatic link takes me only to download 7.51 which I already.
    I know there are links to Java 8 but I'm not tech savvy enough to work your version.
    Usually, I need to download a 32-bit and 64-bit version.
    Can someone help me with the links for downloading specific or information please.
    Thanks in advance.

    You don't need to do anything, since Java 7 update 51 is not vulnerable (AFAIK) and is the recommended version to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and http://www.java.com/en/download/

    If you check the "I have Java?' bind to http://www.java.com/en/download/ and run the applet Java detection it will tell you that you have recommended Java installed (Version 7 update 51).

  • What version of InDesign is supported by El Capitan?

    I'm starting to think I made a huge mistake by installing El Capitan. I have Adobe Creative suit (CS5) and so far no problems with PhotoShop, but certain features of InDesign have been sterilized. The most frustrating is that path doesn't work at all, who dedicated a project that I'm trying. Then I was told by Adobe CS5 is totally not taken in charge by the OS 10.11.1. Large. Does anyone know if any version of the Creative Suite IS supported? Please don't tell me that I need to "rent" from Adobe. An owner of their programs is sufficient.

    CS2015 is the only version "supported", but I had my hands full with it.

    Creative Suite is no longer supported by Adobe before OS 10.11 and they ended up support in his favor in total. Keep in mind Apple makes it very clear in the OS X EULA (if you read) that if OS X install causes a software package to stop work that is your problem, not them.

    Here's how you can try with CS5 in order, try one step and test, if it fails, go to the next:

    Reset your InDesign preferences by launching the Application (NOT a shortcut or icon in the dock, it will not work) and now the key SHIFT + CTRL + ALT + CMD then click launch. You need to reset preferences if you did it correctly.

    Create a new account with administrative rights and boot in this account

    Go to http://www.java.com and it will detect the correct version to download. However, it is recommended that Java is not installed unless you have a known for this requirement. Currently, it has the highest level of security and is used as a vehicle to install malicious software.

  • On versions of Java

    Hi all.

    Maybe it's not appropriate for this post, but simple anwer to a more informed user forum.

    My box is Windows 7 64 and I am WLS forms / report development. I noticed that on my laptop, I have 2 Version of Java:

    (1) located at C:\Program Files (x 86) \Java:

    JAVA_VERSION = "1.7.0.

    OS_NAME. = "Windows".

    OS_VERSION = "5.1".

    OS_ARCH = "i586".

    (2) on Java C:\Program

    jre6

    When I looked at my Java Console I see this:

    version 6 Update 27 (build 1.6.0_27 - b07)

    and

    1.6 1.6.0_27 c:\Program Files\Java\jre\bin\javaw.exe

    Now, I've updated recently of this file: chromeinstall-7u25. It seems to me clearly be located in C:\Program Files (x 86) Java Update \Java, yet my Console Java 1.6.

    What happens here? and above all, what version of java I have used for my web forms environment?

    Best regards, Luis...

    To make things easy you should have a version of java on your client, yes.be he java6 or java7 is your choice. I'm just saying running a version of software which receives no more updates could bite you in the end to end one day. You will always get updates for java6 support that you just have to pay for in the end it.but you are just stalling the univetible: java7 (8,9,10, whatever) is going to happen.

    For java 7, you can change the class identifier of

    0017-0000-FFFF

    To work with any update java7.leave update function on, but make sure you're on top updates which means test test test. Or solve problems that arise ;-).

    See you soon

    Please give me a solution for this-

    You can do more complicated it must be.

    In forms and reports Oracle Home, you will have a tnsnames.ora (ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN). If it's the file you changed, I would recommend cancelling all changes. Then simply copy and paste the entry from the db entries. So in you case put this in the file tnsnames.ora forms/States:

    ORCL1 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = USER-PC)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = orcl1)
    )
    )

    It may be necessary to change the 'USER-PC' above to the IP address or the loopback address (127.0.0.1).

    In the forms/States sqlnet.ora file make this change:

    From:

    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (LDAP, TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT, ONAMES, HOSTNAME)

    REPLACE:
    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT, ONAMES, HOSTNAME, LDAP)

    The same concept is true for version 11 forms/States
