On versions of Java

Hi all.

Maybe it's not appropriate for this post, but simple anwer to a more informed user forum.

My box is Windows 7 64 and I am WLS forms / report development. I noticed that on my laptop, I have 2 Version of Java:

(1) located at C:\Program Files (x 86) \Java:

JAVA_VERSION = "1.7.0.

OS_NAME. = "Windows".

OS_VERSION = "5.1".

OS_ARCH = "i586".

(2) on Java C:\Program

jre6

When I looked at my Java Console I see this:

version 6 Update 27 (build 1.6.0_27 - b07)

and

1.6 1.6.0_27 c:\Program Files\Java\jre\bin\javaw.exe

Now, I've updated recently of this file: chromeinstall-7u25. It seems to me clearly be located in C:\Program Files (x 86) Java Update \Java, yet my Console Java 1.6.

What happens here? and above all, what version of java I have used for my web forms environment?

Best regards, Luis...

To make things easy you should have a version of java on your client, yes.be he java6 or java7 is your choice. I'm just saying running a version of software which receives no more updates could bite you in the end to end one day. You will always get updates for java6 support that you just have to pay for in the end it.but you are just stalling the univetible: java7 (8,9,10, whatever) is going to happen.

For java 7, you can change the class identifier of

0017-0000-FFFF

To work with any update java7.leave update function on, but make sure you're on top updates which means test test test. Or solve problems that arise ;-).

See you soon

    I had the same problem on Saturday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 13. However, I was able to download and install update 40 this morning (Monday, 14 October) successfully. It must have been a problem with the Java download site as there is problem in Firefox and IE, and it seems to be fixed now.

  • After the "new version" download Java 6 times, my plugin check page indicates that he has disabled my 'version outdated' and asks me to upgrade. What do I do?

    Background:
    I had this problem for several months now. This problem started when an update came to Java on the Firefox Plugin check. Quickly, I installed the new update of Java. But the Firefox update register that I downloaded, even though I refreshed the page. So, I got rid of the old Java and downloaded again the new Java. When the page has continued to post the same message he had before, I downloaded a few times more. Finally, Firefox stopped to say that I was at day. Then a few weeks later perhaps I check Firefox Plugin, and on the page it says that I'm overwhelmed in Java. So I downloaded Java again. But Java was still in the list, with the red and said that he had to be updated. I restarted the computer. Then I restarted Firefox Mozilla with no Add-ons. When Java appeared still to be updated, I gave up and did not something more on this topic.
    Problem:
    Today, I decided to check my plugins. Java was not updating the list, and at the top a banner said, "Missing JAVA? For your security, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please install the latest version. "I clicked on"upgrade to the latest version"and was brought to the Java page. I clicked on the download button. My cache indicates that it was this same Java plug-in (see background) download (6). I chose the re - download anyway. But Firefox always insists on the fact that I him have not downloaded.
    Question:
    Should I go to the control panel of Java and change something? I have to fix a few settings on Firefox? Should I disable Java entirely, delete all the files related to Java on my computer and start over with Java? What should I do?

    Try to use http://ninite.com/java/ninite.exe to install Java. Please note that even if download you it you have to double click it to run and install.

  • Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java

    This seems to happen now on a regular basis. As soon as an add-on update firefox has struggle to detect the correct version

    In this case, I get "Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java" have just installed the new version of Java (7-11). I restart firefox and it does not solve it, I reboot my machine and it does not solve it.

    According to this bug on Oracle http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=8005410 site, the problem occurs because their installer does not correctly recognize older versions of Java and is compounded by a problem with systems using the standalone version of JavaFX installed.

    So, if you see JavaFX in your list of installed programs (Windows: Control Panel), remove it. It would be better to remove all the Java from your system before installing the new Java.

    I would recommend JavaRa to uninstall Java previous to your system, but, unfortunately, it has not been updated since October 2012 and does not and will not find any more recent versions of Java and/or registry keys files.

    Oracle has published the update of Java 7 11 to resolve recently recognized in Java 7 update 10 and earlier versions. Update of Java 6 38 was not updated; support for the ends of the versions of Java 6 in February 2013.

  • Why Firefox 16.0.1 keep turn off my newest version of java?

    Pogo.com cites a security problem and a fix for Java. Oracle provides a version update. Mozilla disables this new version. Now, mozilla disables ANY version. Website of Oracle is unable to check the new installation of java. Oracle cannot check ANY version installed on my pc. All THE sites act as Java is not installed on any browser I use.
    Windows 7 64-bit OS

    Do you have what version of Java installed?

    For Firefox, you need the 32-bit Java 7 U9 runtime (JRE) version.

    See the Platform Java > Java SE 7U9 or Java 6U37 (download the JRE)

  • How is it that Pogo games load fine with an older version of Java (the ones they say I should disable) but does not load with the latest Java?

    Pogo works fine on older versions of Java, but the games not load not on the latest version. I did all the usual things, cleared the cache of the browser and Java cache, uninstalled Java then reinstalled it, done in so that was allowed, blah, blah, blah... I did have problems with the latest version of Firefox.

    Yes, this version is is more updated and can contain security risks, then it will be probably best to disable java plugins in firefox > addons > plugins when you do not use the on game sites in order to stay safe on other sites. This is why I have also suggested to contact the pogo site to update their content so that it can be reused with the java plugin updated.

    For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

    The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

    More information area has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, need to revert to a previous version or try the version iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for the problems of performance or compatibility with third-party software.

    Your library must be affected by these measures, but it is also related to backup and recovery advice if necessary.

    If you have tried the suggestions above without success, then another option is to go back to the previous version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the roll back tips to installers of iTunes. Roll back of 12.3.3 will be to restore the pre-upgrade library in the previous iTunes libraries folder.
