Hello;

I use 11 Oracle 32-bit on Windows 7 64 bit. (win32_11gR2_client.zip)

No problems.

Everything, including ODBC works very well.

http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/Enterprise-Edition/downloads/112010-win32soft-098987.html

See - Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

The OEM java-based console no longer exists.

Best regards

  • Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio needs an Oracle Client for the Windows Installation?

Hi everyone, I need to know if Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio is in need of a customer Oracle for Windows installed

    Thanks for your time

Yes, you have the Oracle Client. However, you don't need to install the Oracle Client separately. ODT automatically includes the Oracle customer in each ODAC installation.

The next version of the ODAC have an ODT version that uses ODP.NET, successful pilot. This version is not longer an Oracle Client.

  • Oracle client on windows7

Try to install this, must use OEM (console java)... .all client 11 g etc version support for whom? or any other suggestions for OEM installation on my client, not the webbase...

Wasn't the old console OEM based on java abandoned a long time ago? Search the forums for previous related discussions.

Why do you think you need?

What is the highest version of server, that you rely on the connection?

Maybe take alook to use Oracle SQL Developer instead? (sure, it might take some getting used to if you 'know' ol ' oemapp)

  • Driver Oracle client for DotNet Application necessary

    Hello

We have an Application of Windows Desktop DotNet, written in c# using Visual Studio 2005.

We are now able to connect to the Oracle database 10.2 with it using ODBC, but we need to know what driver to use.

The DotNet Application is put on all of our Call Center Representative for desktop computers by using ClickOnce technology.

We would like a light driver to install on each of the desktops, but you need to know where to download a driver and how to install it.

    All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you!
    :) Anne

For light xcopy deployment of ODBC, you probably want to go with the moment customer, more information here.

I may misread your message. The application uses ODBC? Most .NET applications would use ODP.NET instead, and you can get a version of xcopy of this here

See readme for patch 4547809 MOS.

'12 Patch Set components' section - the table "Customer Oracle required support files" entry confirms that this hotfix can be applied on the installation of the client 9.2.0.x.

There is no sentence indicating the same in 9.2.0.8 readme (what is there in any Readme 10.2.0.x).

  • Client for the Windows 2008 r2 Remote Desktop server

    Hello

I want to install the MS server 2008 r2 by using the terminal service, and I install the forest of 11 g 32 Oracle Client for the client application.

I'm already installed but when I add the ODBC driver, apparently not any selection that associated with ODBC Oracle, is that I need to install the 64 bit of 11g client? It is difficult for me that my program can not be worked on 64-bit client.

And whether the combination is Server 2008 r2 with little 11g Client 64 is the best practice?

    Please help and advise.

    Thank you and best regards.

    Kenneth

drivers for 32-bit client on 64 bits 2008 R2 do not appear in the normal ODBC Administrator window. You must run a clean to the 32-bit ODBC drivers.

    c:\windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

    Try it.

  • Windows 7 64 bit and the need to install 32-bit and 64-bit client for Oracle 11 g

    Hello

First of all, I'm sorry to ask what is probably a common response to the knowledge of most in the forum. I can't find a straight answer, the search of these forums or via google.

We have Windows 7 64 - bit in our next update office. We have several Oracle databases, and all client software in our environment is 32-bit.

I want to try to be at the forefront, so I want to deploy the latest version of the client 64 - bit 11 g instead of our current client (10 g 32-bit).

The simple question is this: can we actually do with our suite of 32-bit applications or do I need to install the client for 32-bit to 32-bit applications side-by-side with the customer of Oracle 11 g 64 bit for future 64-bit clients?

For the future that, if I do, then someone good instructions on this? I found an article about it, but it seemed personal and made use of the mklink command, so I have my doubts it is correct.

    Thank you

I think that you need separate 64-bit and 32-bit clients

  • How to Create Oracle Home for Windows Client?

I downloaded the latest version of the client Oracle for Windows here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/tech/OCI/instantclient/htdocs/WinSoft.html

The problem is that they are just ZIP files, so they install an Oracle Home that I can select with the selector of the House. There are utilities that can create an Oracle Home registry entry for you?

    Thank you
    Kurz

There is an option to download only client for Windows (and Linux I believe). It happens to be located along the coast that the downloads for you database make it as if you try to download the database and in the end, you will see an option for a client download only. The download only client that comes with the Oracle Universal Installer is a few hundred MB, not as big as the download of the database, but much better than the Instant Client download.

  • Where the SQL Scripts running after the installation of the ODAC for Oracle Client?

I just installed ODAC for Oracle Client on a windows server that runs a database of sql server, allowing developers to connect to a web application to an Oracle/Unix database. The installation States to run SQL scripts, located in the $ORACLE_HOME\ASP.NET\SQL directory after installation. I don't know where to run them? On the ORACLE DB on the Unix server? If someone could let me know, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

You must run on the Oracle database server, but they are necessary only if you use Oracle for ASP.NET providers.

If you just install the software, so you can use OLEDB with SQL Server linked server, for example, you don't need them. What do you need to run although if this is the case is the oramtsadmin.sql script that creates the objects used by the Oracle MTS Recovery Service (if you do not have these objects created on the database) that SQL Server uses a distributed transaction for Oracle connections I think.

  • Latest version of the Oracle 11g for Windows Client

I was able to download Oracle 11 g Client base of
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/Oracle11g/111060_win32soft.html

Anyone know if this what they have for 11g? Oracle has provided any patches in addition to this group?

I'll have to specify this patch #: 6890831 and I should specify Windows (32) for platform? The Oracle Clients are Windows machines.

    Yes that's correct.

  • Required for the Installation of Essbase Oracle client

    Hello

I installed Essbase server and server EAS with the services of the Foundation in a Windows Machine.

My RDBMS (Oracle) is installed on a different Machine.

Do I need to install the Oracle client on my machine Essbase to configure with the RDBMS? or installation of the customer Oracle is not necessary to configure with RDBMS?

    Thank you.

You don't need the Oracle client if you want to set up the database of the foundation she uses JDBC drivers that are included in the installation of the Foundation.
The Oracle client is useful if you want to configure the ODBC Oracle connections to be used with loads of SQL essbase data.
