Oracle Database Administrator certified associate 12 c?

Hello.

I intend to pass the necessary tests to be a 'Oracle Database 11 g Administrator Certified Associate', but I am very concerned about the new version of the Oracle 12 c database.
What will happen if I just take the exam of SQL databases for 11g and computer appears the certificate for 12 c?
Should I go all the way to 11g and then update to 12 c?

Thanks a lot for your help.

If you say that this 1Z0-051 exam will be compatible with a future path 12 c OCA, disappear from my concerns about this.

The result of SQL databases can be used with any version of the DBA certification (or developer). The old version 9i of the (1Z0-007) of review be used with 12 c.

I have to warn that Oracle certification as far as I KNOW has not yet released their prerequisites to the OCA of s/n 12 b. Only when they publish it is authority.

If we extrapolate current practice then 1z0 - 047; 1Z0-051 and 1z0-061 would be eligible for the SQL wrt 12 c DBA OCA exam. The situation with 1z0-007/1z0-001 would be less obvious that these will be selected to retire prior to the announcement of certifications. Of course there may be a requirement that only 1z0 - 061 is eligible; the certification team can make (and change, usually with 3 months notice) the condition sine qua non of the rules as they see fit.

That said, do not hang on. 1z0-051 study, etc. I agree with Matthew, you may have problems more wait 12 c DBA Certification that certifying a 11 g, s/n, now; for the next few months at least, maybe even next year.

    What could be more simple?

I'm looking for an easy victory

I'm not a big proponent of "easy". I'm much more a fan of "useful". It is not easy to determine what is 'easy' for you. It is quite difficult to find which is easy for me. That said, a basic rule of quick and dirty to compare Oracle certifications is:

    Easier
OCA - wide range of subjects - shallow
OIS - narrow range of topics - moderate depth (implementation specialist - don't know if they really have an accepted acronym)
OCP - wide range of subjects - moderate depth
OCÉ - narrow range of topics - deep
COM - Together different ball game - perform or fail
    More difficult

Because you ask about a SANDBOX test vs a review of ECO, the basic response is going to be that the review of the OCA is easier. Which does not account for you. As far I know, you might be allergic to Java mentally, and maybe that's the thing the more difficult learning you already have.

Someone told me that there is a new Oracle 12 c availability maximum expert certification exam.

But I don't see any number of review for her.

It is not a review of these credentials.  It is a 'bonus' credential you receive if you get three other certifications:

12 c of Oracle Certified Professional database administrator

Oracle Certified Expert 12 c Data Guard Administration

Oracle Certified Expert 12 c RAC and grid Infrastructure of Administration

PL/SQL Developer OCA or same PL/SQL Developer OCP have one hand on the requirement of the course.

You don't need to attend (yet) training for the latter.

  • 1Z0-117: Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 SQL Tuning

    Hello

I failed the exam 1Z0-047 Oracle database SQL Expert"x 3 and will pass the exam in January 2012. I'm sure I'll spend this time :-) to 95%

Now my question: what's next 1Z0-047? I only know how to leave 1Z0-047. I am SQL scripts to my work, but no DBA work and not of PL/SQL. So I guess that the "Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 SQL Tuning" would be the next logical step?

Is 'Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11g Release 2 SQL Tuning' too complicated for me (only have knowledge of the exam 1Z0-047). Because I don't have experience with the topics listed in the objectives, for the most part never heard talk about.

    What study guide?

So I guess that the "Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 SQL Tuning" would be the next logical step?

    I agree with you.

The Oracle 11 g Release 2 database: review SQL Tuning is still in beta at least until November 24, 2012. Beta versions have been known to be extended. Even if this isn't the case, the examination of the production is not available before mid-January 2013 about. I had one experience with a beta. I hated and will never be another. There is little reason to do so, and most importantly (reduced cost) is not important to me because my company reimburses the cost of my essay, so I don't really care about the savings. They take several times longer to complete and I was a mess at the time that I finished that I did with a headache roaring through a large part of the review.

That said - answering your question:

1Z0-047 is a really complicated test. The questions and answers are designed to mislead. There is a reason for that. SQL, by its very nature, is a fairly simple language. Part of its appeal, is that it is easy to understand and write. If the people who wrote the essay was not gone to their best to make the deliberately convoluted SQL code, then it would not have required skills 'experts' to pass. It is much more difficult to read and diagnose poorly written SQL as well written SQL.

I also took the test Application Express Expert: 1Z0-450. The questions that it were not written in a deliberately confusing manner. However, they had need intimate knowledge of the interface of the Apex. Because it was possible to write questions 'hard' without having to make them deliberately more obscure, the questions were simpler. I did not review SQL Tuning (as I said... no more betas for me), but I suspect that it will be similar to 1Z0-450 has enough information "at the level of experts" to write questions on that test will not attempt to write "hard" questions

Is 'Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11g Release 2 SQL Tuning' too complicated for me.
Because I don't have experience with the topics listed in the objectives, for the most part never heard talk about.

Not sure what is in the test. This is excellent news. Student for the test will teach you a lot of new things about writing and tuning SQL. In my posts, a concept is repeated again and again. The value of certification is not make a piece of paper to stick in a workbook. The value comes to what new skills you gain in is about to pass the test. If you do not know the information and that you are not studying for the test, Yes, you will not pass. If you prepare for the test until you do understand the objectives, then you should be able to pass the test.

    What study guide?

None does not yet exist. There is no doubt that I will write a review study guide. It won't be until some time after the test is in production. I do not publish guides for which I hold the certification. Do not wait for good. You can use the same exact source, I will use in his creation - the Oracle documentation. I guarantee you that all topics on the unique OE page and every single question that is under review are answered somewhere in the documentation.

  • suggested expirence '1Z0-803 Oracle Certified Associate'

1Z0-803 Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 programmer

It is true that it is not a recommendation of experience on these reviews. Tho, these SE 7 exams are probably harder than the SE 6 reviews. I suggest you to review issues of review to see where your weaknesses are and see if you feel that you are ready now to take the exam, or if you need a more professional experience. Examination of the OCA is usually a range entry exam, but which does not easy. It simply means that the concepts are not as advanced than what you will encounter in the OCP review.

  • Due to Oracle Database 11 g: Administration Workshop Release 2 class I count?

Hey all. I'm trying to figure out if the class "Oracle Database 11 g: Administration Workshop I release 2" taken into account in the OCP certification. I know that "Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop I" made from this page: http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=244#5 However, Release 2 is not listed there. It would be a pretty spectacular waste of $3,000 to take a class that does not count towards OCP so that's what I'm going to. :) Help appreciated!

Yes, the R2 and R1 of the class version for both count.

The number of courses will be D50102ccxx - cc indicates the language, if the course is offered multilingual and xx 'revision '. In this case, we went from 'xx = 10' to 'xx = 21'.

Oracle stops delivery of course R1 once the course of R2 is available, except exceptional request request the R1 version. I had many participants in my classes of R2 to the exam and they have not indicated any problem with additional content or any problem with the requirement practice.

  • How do the function of Oracle database in OBIEE Administration tool

    Hi all
I want to use an Oracle database function as a column in OBIEE (BM, presentation model). Can someone made this inOBIEE. Pointers to this is much appreicated.

    Thank you

    Hi user7417334,

You cannot use the formulas in the presentation layer (not that I know well). But you can certainly use functions of oracle database in MDB layer.

You want to use the function EVALUATE. It works like this:

    can EVALUATE (' TO_DATE (%1, %2) "AS DATE, 31 December 2009", "MM/DD/YYYY" ")

    Generic version: EVALUATE ('' AS , value1, value2, etc.)

FUNC) is the syntax for the function you are calling. All parameters must be replaced with %, where number refers to the order in which you specify your settings.
DATATYPE) the type of data that will allow to evaluate the function. In this case, the DATE.
Value1) the last part of the formula is a list separated by commas of all parameters used in the function. In this case, this is the date I want to ride
Value2) is the second parameter. You need as many times as you have referenced in your function. In this case, it is the date format.

Good luck and if you found this post useful, please give points!

    Best regards

    Dear Oracle.

I send you this mail because recently I passed the exam 1Z0-053-Oracle Database 11 g: Administration II, which is the last review necessary to acquire the OCP Certification. However, in the path to certification, I need to prove that I participated in an official Oracle training.

Research for the course on the site to view pearson, I did find the name of course on the list. So I'm sending you this email with the courses required for certification information. I attended the course at FIAP College (http://www.fiap.com.br/en/conheca-a-fiap/parcerias-estrategicas/), in the city of São Paulo (Brazil) of March, 2010 until March 2011. The above link is possible to check that the University is a partner of Oracle. The title I had was "Graduate in Oracle Database Management".

In this e-mail, I have attached a copy of the certified course FIAP (front.jpg, certificate Back). I also send my profile data in the site view pearson (Pearson VIEW - my profile.pdf) and my scores on tests for certification of OCP (1Z0 - 051.pdf, 1Z0 - 052.pdf, 1Z0 - 053.pdf).

If you need additional information just let me know and I'll give you.

Please acknowledge this information and give me the OCP certification (Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional).

    Kind regards.

I almost added a question about this certification to your original on recert requirements thread.  Then I saw the following note in the page 'requirements and process ':

    https://education.Oracle.com/pls/web_prod-PLQ-dad/db_pages.GetPage?page_id=768

"You can keep all your types of database credentials (associate, professional, Expert and Master) in State ASSETS by winning a single credential OCA, OCP or CMO in the CURRENT version of Oracle Database certification."

Based on this statement, you take a certification or 11g OCA/OCP/CMO 12 c will prevent any expert version-specific certifications being expired.

It is worth noting that the reverse is not true, taking a current CEO of certification does * not * prevent anything either, but an earlier version of this same certification expires.  Really means a lot right now because he communicated there very little specific expert certificates (RAC, performance and Tuning SQL optimization are the only 11g those for example), but it's something to know.

Of interest here is the bit of page_id 350 that says: specialization of database Oracle is for members of the Oracle Partner Network focused on the implementation of the database Oracle ... does that mean it's for the people of partner Oracle only?

Published by: bigdelboy on November 30, 2009 12:08 the Oracle's error was erased and subject review are now present. I deleted that part of the question as long as she is overtaken

Database Oracle 11 g, specialist of the implementation is not for members of OPN only, even though the declaration of value makes it sound like that. We are currently working with the team that wrote these instructions to update to be more clear.

This review and certification focus on the role of Director of the project. The high level of this certification and the OCP DBA standard difference is that OCP DBA certification focuses on the role of the database administrator and requires a broader knowledge base.

The reference to the certification of OPN on this page is simply to indicate that if a candidate is a member of a partner organization and they pass this review, they will receive a designation of certified specialist of OPN in addition to the certificate of specialist in the implementation. This designation of specialist OPN will count towards the specialization of their company.

The Oracle 11 g specialist of implementing database is open to any interested candidates.

  • How to use references from web third party service with service Cloud Computing to Oracle database schema

    APEX 5.0

Cloud Computing service for the Oracle database schema

I'm in the middle of do a proof of concept.  Basically, I need an application with security of the stored data, UI, user, data loading, and able to post data via an external web service said.  It seems that with the database schema Oracle cloud service, it is not possible to use web service references that are not in the field.

If I try to use a service via http reference, I get:

ORA-20987: APEX - the requested URL was forbidden. Contact your administrator. -Contact your administrator of the application.

If I try to use the same reference service via https, I get:

I read somewhere that cloud services only https can be used.  Is this true?

And then I read somewhere to use the protocol https, the portfolio must be configured to store certificates, etc.  However, I read somewhere else that the portfolio cannot be configured because there is no access to the instance database with the Oracle Cloud Computing database schema service.  Is this true?

If both are true, how can I make a call to post data to an external web service?  Or do I need to use a different Cloud Computing service?  Or do I need my own instance of Oracle DB?

Any help would be great.  Thank you!

It turns out there was a problem with the remote rest service.  After successfully calling a rest service that was created using SQL Workshop, I tried different remote rest services and they all work.  Sorry for the confusion.  I thought it was very strange that the schema of database service wouldn't be able to do it easily.
