Purchase T530 buy backlit keyboard or not to buy that is the question

Want to buy T530 wouldn't mind a backlight, but can happen.
It has been said by someone on these forums that the backlit chiclet keyboard not and
backlit, it has a different feel.

They said that no backlit keyboard is similar to tactile sensation
Non-traditional chiclet keyboard. While the backlit chiclet keyboard is sweeter
and does not require as much pressure to register for a key

Lenovo said that two keyboards had feeling and the same feedback

What anyone here have experience with both and I can confirm?
I would like just a little more opinions on this matter before deciding

Thank you

I make my own advice for the backlit keyboard. The new chiclet keyboard is slightly different from the old keyboards 7 rows while you will need to make some adjustments in all cases. The backlight function is a boon in a dimly lit environment. It is quite useful to do.

I am not new in the world of Apple products, but I'm new to owning a Mac.

I am looking to buy a MacBook Pro 2010. Is this a wise choice? Or is the machine already so old that he will soon be obsolete and not supported by Apple?

I'm looking at those is the 13 "MacBook Pro with 500 GB HDD and the core 2 duo processor and the 17" MacBook Pro with 500 gb hard drive and i5 processor.

Should I get one on the other? Or look for something more recent.

I would like to note that I'm interested in computers preowned certified with warranty and they are 50% less than retail.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I am running on an iMac end 2010 now with no complaints. I've probably will modernize in a few years, because there is a new technology and I don't know how long even updates my system will support. Of course the 17 "is more heavy to lug around. The MacBook Pro also came in the i5 15 ", that would be a good common ground.

As you have tried most of the acts to solve the problem, your only choice is to have replaced KB either by yourself, or by calling Lenovo.

  • Keyboard does not work after authentication on the RDS Session host

When you connect to the RDS through the access portal or app keyboard does not work after authentication on the RDS session host. Offline authentication works very well, past will guide you to the RDS host, then when you try to reset your password, the keyboard does not work.

Has anyone else had that... ?

Options (some better than others!) are:

    1. move all MS applications seamless

    2. have an application named "Reset your password" (or similar) which uses MS Seamless.then you can leave other applications, as they are

3 disable authentication carried forward and implemented our service reset password instead so people reset their password before can connect you.

    4. use the full desktop instead of transparent

  • Laptop HP OMEN - 15-5010nr: Omen HP 15: backlit keyboard does not not after BIOS update

This morning my HP omen arrived by mail, fully functional with everything in tact. After I left my laptop to install the updates from HP Support Assistant (one of these being an update of the BIOS updates), I returned to find my computer restarted and my enlightened retro keyboard does not. After trying to use HP OMEN control to fix the keyboard, I found the keyboard flashes when I click "Apply to all Zones", but then immediately turns off again. Is it possible to fix this keyboard backlit ir question can we see an update in the near future that resolves this problem?

Found a solution! Apparently, the keyboard stops after the update of the BIOS, so to reactivate just push F5.

  • Yoga 2 Pro backlit keyboard does not turn off

Not sure if this is a fault on my machine, but the backlit keyboard refuses to turn off. I tried the fn + spcbar and no luck. The light flashes for a split second and stays on. No idea if there is a quick fix or I need to send this in Lenovo?

I ended up exchanging back to the retailer. It was a defective product.

Thanks for the help though. Very much appreciated.

  • Folio 1020 G1 keyboard works not for 30 seconds after the computer wakes from sleep

I have several books of Folio 1020 G1 where the integrated keyboard does not work for about 30-60 seconds after the resumption of the operation of the standby mode. Everyone met this problem or a solution?

The touch pad, touch screen and a usb keyboard immediately all work.

They work on the load of the plant, but these machines were photographed with Windows Enterprise 8.1 x 64 using Configuration Manager 2012. The pack of drivers for this model of http://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HP_Driverpack_Matrix_x64.html, http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70001-70500/sp70362.exe is applied successfully during the imaging task sequence. I also miss the key features of the FN for brightness and microphone mute, but sp70321.exe (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=7343091 & swItemId = ob_144333_1 & swEnvOid = 415... does not solve this problem.

This question has been somehow created by installing a software Synaptics 17.x version followed by the installtion of the 18.x software required above it. I don't know if this software was automatically installed from Windows builtin drivers or other drivers imported into Configuration Manager have been incorrectly applied, but running "rundll32.exe"% ProgramFiles%\Synaptics\SynTP\SynISDLL.dll",SilentUninstall_CallerWillReboot" in the sequence of tasks before apply the package stops sp71067.exe the problem didn't happen. • G780 keyboard does not work, but ONLY if the Elan Touchpad driver is installed.

I have a bad surprise today--unlike other manufacturers, which offers one year free tech support, Lenovo does not. $179 for a contract or $89 to cover an isolated incident. Thank you, guys. :-/

    Here's my problem.

G780, bought last October. Upgrade to Win7 Home Premium Win8 Pro.

A few days ago the integrated keyboard has stopped working. It works in the BIOS, but when you start in Windows, Windows does not recognize it.

There is a PS/2 keyboard driver and device keyboard HID that appear in Win8 Device Manager. I guess these are the drivers for the built-in keyboard. If I plug in a USB keyboard, it appears in the device as an additional device keyboard HID Manager.

By trial and error, I discovered that the keyboard still works fine when the Elan touchpad driver is not installed. The problem with THAT: I can not disable the touchpad unless the driver is installed, and if the touchpad is not disabled, it will screw me up because I accidentally brush my hand against the touchpad while typing.

I also noticed that sometimes the touchpad in the system tray icon with a WARNING icon overlaid on top of it (you know, the little yellow triangle with exclamation point). I can't understand why, and I can't understand what has changed on my computer that caused the keyboard to stop functioning properly.

I tried uninstalling the Elan touchpad driver, download the latest driver from support G780 web page and put it back. No luck.

I make do with a USB keyboard at the moment, but I really need this problem is resolved.

    Thanks in advance.

So I had uninstalled the drivers of momentum earlier... yesterday I tried to reinstall those supplied with the computer.

At least the keyboard worked now, but the drivers have not been properly disable the touchpad when I plugged the mouse.

Then I hit Fn - F6, not really thinking that he would do anything, but it fixed the problem.

I would have but the pilot would have overridden some setting I put with Fn - F6, but... maybe not.

    Problem solved.

  • Trying to reinstall my Windows XP home edition and my keyboard does not work when I reached the part where I have to type my name and organization

    Original title: reinstalling Windows

I am trying to reinstall my Windows XP home edition and when I reached the part where I have to watch myself and my organization my keyboard does not work and I can't type my name or to the next step.

    Hello

    1. did you have backed up your data before attempting to reinstall Windows?
    2. do you have other devices connected to your computer outside of the mouse and keyboard?

If so, I suggest that you remove any external devices, then try reinstalling Windows.

  • The keyboard does not work at least in the back

  • On NEW laptop keyboard does not work after that the screen keyboard has been activated and then deactivated.

Look at my friend got a new laptop and went through the whole upward. the on-screen keyboard has been activated which invalidates the real keyboard when the on-screen keyboard has been disabled the real keyboard has NO return. If this is a bug... Fix it. This is not a driver issue, it is not a user error. Stop giving people answers, trying to pretend like it's not not the OS when most people already know that it is.

I'm sorry, but I didn't not new meant only one day.  And when I got my new laptop, one of the first things I did was to create a point of files, even a day later I had a restore to use - point and that was possible here as well.  I'm sorry it wasn't the case.

If the system restore option is not available, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, you can try to go into the BIOS during the startup (the key appropriate to push appear on the screen to enter the boot menu or boot installation - try them both in turn if both appear. It is possible that the BIOS contains an option to disable the keyboard (which may have been activated by the keyboard on the screen but not changed when disable you the on-screen keyboard) and you may need to re-enable manually.  There is a slight possibility, but it is an option to try.

Another option to try is to set up a new user account that has never used the keyboard on the screen and see if the regular keyboard works when you connect to this account.  If so, you can simply treat the original as a corrupt account account and use the following procedures to complete the transfer.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.

I hope that one of these aid procedures.  I'm sorry if they seem to 'generic', but we do not really know what is the problem - especially since the system is new.  We try and identify the cause and fix the problem at the same time using the procedures available to us.  I suspect there's a registry tweak will correct this problem, but I went through the whole registry, and although I found several referencers keyboard, I could find no which seemed to control or not activate the main laptop keyboard (though it has been in one of the entries that has been encoded in binary that I couldn't read).  It's possible someone who knows more about the registry will respond to this issue with a proposal to amend (or perhaps another solution).

I hope that one of the solutions I proposed works.  Please post back in all cases we will know whether or not to continue searching for an answer.

    Good luck!
