Oracle database project: can't load 'isqlplus.dll '.

I've been using vs oracle development tools 2013 for several months now.

This morning the "run" sql command started up an error ' could not load ' ISQLPLUS.» ' DLL' or one of its dependent libraries.

I checked that the dll is always in the same place, and it is. I have no idea how this would happen or how to say vs 2013 where it is located.

It is difficult to say what has happened. Perhaps the resulting path changed?

In all cases, your easiest solution is probably to reinstall Oracle Developer Tools. If possible, choose a directory to install into.

    sqlplus is what you want. Alternatively, the SQL Developer may be more intuitive if you're used to a GUI IDE, (that's another topic).

    host is a sqlplus command that opens a command shell - you can get the world BACK on the Oracle database, where PL/SQL does not exist. It is used to temporarily leave the database and do something else at the system level without losing the current state of your sqlplus session.

    Short answer: you need not order host for what you are trying to do. It is only adding to the confusion.

    Example step by step (it's on Windows Vista Enterprise... Vista Home is the same)

    I open a windows command shell

    C:\Users\Brian>dir c:\
     Volume in drive C has no label.
     Volume Serial Number is 74D4-C846

    The host of sqlplus command opens a new command shell and drops me it. I do order things (file system) Shell instead of being able to issue sqlplus commands until I have to leave the session host.

    If you try to change xyz.sql NOW you are looking for a command on a computer named edit.exe or edit.cmd or something. My machine happens to have one - it is an old BACK (not Notepad) text editor

    If you do not have edit.exe on your machine you get the DOS error ' 'Edit' is not recognized as internal or external command an executable program or batch file. "

    C:\Users\Brian>exit

    SQL>

    I leave the shell and return to sqlplus. Here, I run the SQLPLUS to change the command, which opens your default text editor (usually Notepad)

    SQL > edit xyz.sql

    Notepad opens and I enter the following command:

    create or replace procedure foo as
    begin
     dbms_output.put_line('Hello, World');
    end;
    /

    I save the file and exit in Notepad. I'm in sqlplus.

    SQL> set serveroutput on size 1000000
    SQL> @xyz.sql

    SQL> exec foo

    Hi Mike... When the pop-up window appears at the top of the pop-up window, it should tell you the name of the software that is associated with the dll missing/corrupted. Please look and see if it is listed, and then tell us what software. Make sure that you list the full error message.

    In addition, do you use a Linksys router to connect to the internet? You should also do a scan with Malwarebytesmalware. It doesn't matter what other scanners you used. Scan with Malwarebytes. Thank you.

    I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you try to use a command "modify" in MS-DOS after hosting on, or simply change a file or a command?

    You can start an editor using the comamnd of 'Edit' in SQL * MORE using the command "edit" ("ed" for short). No need to host outside. The default editor is Notepad, but you can specify your own editor (with path) by using the command (not tested; I have not used it for a long time)

    Set Editor = "c:\program files\myeditor\my_editor.exe".

    that can be put into a file called login.sql to automataically value for a sql * plus term start

    I'm not familiar with Vista, but XP requires the definition of 'Edit' where exists in your PATH variable if you try to use a command "Edit" under MS-DOS.

  • Team Foundation Server Issues in the Oracle (ODT) database project

    Hi all

    Developer Dotnet and Oracle, I fortunately came across the ODT.
    Unfortunately, I have some problems in combination with the Team Foundation Server that hopefully someone here, the experts may resolve.

    So, it's the environment...

    Client:
    Windows 7 business
    Teacher of Visual Studio 2010.
    ODT with ODAC 12.1.0.1.0

    Servers:
    Foundation of the Server 2012 team
    Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64 bit

    Description of the problem:

    Well, almost everything seems to be working.
    I can connect to my database diagram in Server Explorer, edit and save back views, functions, packages,... and save them to the server.
    I can create a new "project database Oracle" in Visual Studio.
    Now, I right click and select "generate the Script to create project". This also works very well. Points of view or anything else I clicked are added to the Oracle database project.
    Finally I select 'Add to Source code control' and the whole solution and any addition of scripts are archived as you wish.
    I can now change, automatically checked it as used in th IDE of VS.
    Works perfectly so far...

    But now I have problems to add new scripts. It makes me crazy.
    I right click again on a new view, etc. and select "Generate the Script to create project". The script is added to the same Oracle database project.
    The project file is also removed, because it now has a new added file. BUT the same script file will not be added to the source control.
    And worse yet, I'm not easily able to add the file manually in the context menu of the command "Add to source control" or something similar.
    The only way is to open windows Explorer, move to the previously added script file and add it to source code control using power tools shell extensions.
    I can't imagine that this is the way planned to add additional scripts to the ODP.

    So is there anyone around who can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Best regards
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

    I have recently come to know that there actually is a bug very similar to the old version of Oracle development tools.

    It is fixed in the latest version (12.1.0.1.2 or later).

    When you get a chance, please try it.

    Thank you

    Christian

  • Procedure of ODI with slow performance (SOURCE and TARGET are different Oracle databases)

    Hi experts,

    I have an ODI procedure but its market with slow performance (SOURCE and TARGET are different Oracle databases), you can see below.

    My question is:

    It is possible write Oracle BULK COLLECT at the 'command on the target' (below)? or

    There is a KM of ODI that perform this task below in a quick way? If so, what KM can you guys suggest me?

    I found 'Oracle Append (DBLINK) control' but I try to avoid creating the dblink database.

    ===============================================================================

    * COMMAND ON the SOURCE (* technology: ORACLE * logic diagram: ORACLE_DB_SOURCE):

    SELECT NUM_AGENCIA, NUM_CPF_CNPJ, NOM_PESSOA

    < % = OdiRef.getSchemaName ("D") % >. < % = odiRef.getOption ("P_TABELA") % >

    ===============================================================================

    *ON the COMMAND TARGET (* technology: ORACLE * logic diagram: ORACLE_DB_TARGET):

    BEGIN

    INSERT INTO DISTSOB_OWNER. DISTSOB_PESSOA (NOM_PESSOA, NUM_CPF_CNPJ, FLG_ATIVO)

    VALUES ('#NOM_PESSOA', '#NUM_CPF_CNPJ', THE FROM ');

    EXCEPTION WHEN DUP_VAL_ON_INDEX THEN

    NULL;

    END;

    ===============================================================================

    Thank you guys!

    Please use SQL for SQL command Append KM... You can delete the unnecessary steps in the KM.E.g. fi you won't create I$ table, control flow etc, then you can remove related steps.

    Please try with that.

  • ShadowProtect backup Oracle databases

    Hi all

    I would like to hear from someone if you use ShadowProtect to backup your Oracle databases.
    What are your experiences and the advantages and disadvantages in using ShadowProtect like the one and only tools to backup and restore for Oracle databases?
    Can the potential of ShadowProtect replaces it commonly use Oracle backup/restore tools?

    The reason why I bring this up is because my boss has the idea that ShadowProtect is THE best backup and restore tools. Personally I don't think, because there may be cases where we only need to recover the database and not the whole OS. So need to hear more from you guys.

    Given the complexity of the backup and recovery of an Oracle database, I wouldn't trust anything, but the solution of the Oracle, rman. BTW, you already paid for rman. BTW, I've been known to quietly to apply my own backups rman, then let the solution of "business" save my rman backups. When feces enter the ventilation system, your final responsibility go/no-go is to recover this database. And 'they' (management, storage management team, anyone) will never accept that their backup solution has been insufficient or fatally defective.

    If you do not have a base object that defines the working server where synchronization has to be performed then you will get the above error.

    Create a base object and try again.

    Our version of the database is 10.2.0.1.0

    Well, you use a non-patched database.
    XMLTable just appeared in this version and was still implemented in Java, where the relatively slow to deal with expressions of XPath 1.0 compared to the old function of XMLSequence (written in C).

    Can you provide me with more details or link on how to perform this conversion XSLT?

    The following test case addresses the same XML document, that I used in my blog article ("smldata.xml"). It contains 50,000 rows and 3 columns.
    We first turn into a canonical format: ...
    Then, we can use DBMS_XMLStore to parse and insert the record into the table:

    SQL> create table smldata (
      2    rec_id number
      3  , description varchar2(80)
      4  , rec_value varchar2(30)
      5  );

    Table created.

    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL> set timing on
    SQL>
    SQL> declare
      2
      3    doc    xmltype;
      4    ctx    dbms_xmlstore.ctxHandle;
      5    nrows  number;
      6
      7    xsl    xmltype := xmltype('
     10
     11    DataSource
     12
     13
     14
     15

     21
     22

     27
     28    doc := xmltype(bfilename('TEST_DIR', 'smldata.xml'), nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8'));
     29    doc := doc.transform(xsl, 'sheetname="''DataSource''"');
     30
     31    ctx := dbms_xmlstore.newContext('SMLDATA');
     32    dbms_xmlstore.setUpdateColumn(ctx, 'REC_ID');
     33    dbms_xmlstore.setUpdateColumn(ctx, 'DESCRIPTION');
     34    dbms_xmlstore.setUpdateColumn(ctx, 'REC_VALUE');
     35    nrows := dbms_xmlstore.insertXML(ctx, doc);

      8    insert into smldata (rec_id, description, rec_value)
      9    select extractvalue(value(t), '/ss:Row/ss:Cell[1]/ss:Data', xmlnsmap)
     10         , extractvalue(value(t), '/ss:Row/ss:Cell[2]/ss:Data', xmlnsmap)
     11         , extractvalue(value(t), '/ss:Row/ss:Cell[3]/ss:Data', xmlnsmap)
     12    from table(
     13           xmlsequence(
     14             extract(
     15               doc
     16             , '/ss:Workbook/ss:Worksheet[@ss:Name="DataSource"]/ss:Table/ss:Row'
     17             , xmlnsmap

  • Load of LKM for data in the Oracle database

    My source and target are Oracle DB. Source table is to have 1 m + data. I'm looking for LKM that use Oracle Bulk insert utility to load this data into the target table. But I can't find such a for Oracle is database MSSQL (LKM SQL for MSSQL (Bulk)). Please tell me if there is no such LKM in the case of targets Oracle DB.

    Yes. There are.
    I think you missed this one: LKM Oracle for Oracle (DBLINK) .xml

  • Loading data to SQL server for the Oracle database

    I want to create a table in oracle db table in sql server. Table is huge that he has obtained the documents 97,456,789.
    I created the link (HS) db in the oracle database that points to the sql server. I choose this oracle db on the link table.

    Select * from 'dbo '. "T1@dblink;

    I shot below to create the table.
    create table t2 nologging parallel (degree = 3) as select * from 'dbo '. "T1@dblink;
    and its taking a long time... but its operation...

    is there any other method to do this and and fill the table in oracle db faster.

    Please notify. Thank you.

    I doubt that parallel processing will be used because it is unique to Oracle (using rowid varies in general) and not SQL-Server.

    is there any other method to do this and and fill the table in oracle db faster.

    Part of the performance overhead is to pull that data from SQL Server to Oracle in the whole of the liaison network between them. This can be accelerated by compressing the data first - and who then transfer them over the network.

    For example: using + bcp + to export the data in the SQL Server box to a CSV file, compress/zip file, scp/sftp file Oracle and then to unzip there. In parallel and direct treatment of load can now be done using SQL * Loader to load the CSV file into Oracle.

    If it is a basic Linux/Unix system, the process of decompression/unzip can be run in parallel with the SQL * process Loader by creating a pipe between the two – where the decompression process writes data uncompressed in the pipe and SQL * Loader reads and loads the data that is available through the pipe.

    Otherwise you are PQ own transformation. Assume that the data is date varies. You can create a procedure on Oracle that looks like this:
    {code}
    create or replace procedure as copyday (day) is
    Start
    Insert / * + append * / into local_tab select * from remote_tab@remotedb where col_day = day;
    -Add logging info, validation, etc.
    end;
    {code}

    You can now start 10 or more of these different days and run it in the background using DBMS_JOB.

    Try lreloading WinXP SP and also get updates to resolve these 2 error loading but not successful.
