Oracle manufacturing process execution Cycle process

Hi I'm new to OPM and looking for an overview of the work of the OPM.
I have searched but did not find any specific document.
If anyone has or knows the process, please share it.
Thank you in advance...

  • How to examine the Oracle background process (SMON, PMON, DBW0,...) on a WIN OS

    Dear all:
On Linux/Unix OS, we can check with order Oracle background processes

ps - ef | grep ora

, but how to check the Windows operating system? Can someone show me how to do...
    Thank you very much ~

    regarding

On Windows, the background process running as a thread in the oracle.exe process.

You can see through the database using the V$ BGPROCESS discover or "SELECT the PROGRAM FROM V$ SESSION WHERE USERNAME IS NULL.

Not sure about all the tools under Windows that show the nets with the name of background processes (process explorer from sysinternals shows the son, but not the names of background processes).

  • How to determine the Oracle Max process on Windows Server settings

Currently I have Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 running
    Windows 2003 EE R2 SP2 x 32

    The issue now is:

How to determine what is the maximum value that I can set the process?

I guess that's the operating system and hardware dependent, but I can't find documentation on this topic.

    Any help is appreciated.

We shouldn't just work the PROCESS parameter for the maximum number of BONES.

More processes that you have, more will consume PGA the oracle Instance, i.e. more memory will be used on your server.

You should check v$ resource_limit see if it really reached setting TREATY limits, if yes increase the parameter appropriately so that the high tide of use remains about 80% of the value of the parameter. Check if the number of sessions dedicated process is really necessary, otherwise you can consider the use of database resident connection pooling or a shared server or tuning configuration opening less sessions on the database.

Depending on how much you increase, take a look at the view of PGA advice after a workload of the cycle of V$ PGA_TARGET_ADVICE and V$ MEMORY_TARGET_ADVICE.

  • CPU Oracle patch process for Oracle shared houses-Stand alone case

    Hello-

I have a scenario where I apply CPU/Security Patch [CPUOCT2013] on Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 on Linux. I have 3 databases SID1, SID2 & SID3 all sharing the same $ORACLE_HOME and contain the init and spfiles files in the same directory of $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and other. Now, I need to apply the patch on a SINGLE instance of SID1 (for which I have approval for the stopping of the DB, which is a requirement for the processor). What is the method to be applied to the single SID and not others? I know that we apply patch to ORACLE_HOME, so I am confused, that way I can move forward. Please respond with your expertise and experience.

    Thank you

Your process sounds good to me - the best way to check is to do this in a test environment that is closest (if not identical) to the production as possible. You will also need to update file/etc/oratab as necessary to reflect the new OH

The environment variables that I refer above are at the OS level, not in the init.ora. See Oracle database administration. If there are any values in the init.ora that point to the old OH (I can't think at all), who will have to be changed too.

  • Retracing the Oracle Net process by components

So, I recently picked up some DB servers.  One of the servers (we'll call it TEST), if I have ps-oracle ef | grep pmon, I find 2 process running, GREEN and BLUE.

OK - on my client TNSNAMES. ORA

    TEST_GREEN = (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=IP_FOR_TEST_SERVER) (PORT = 1521))

Note, that the SID in the tnsnames does not match the PMON process running.

So, I thought, let's look at the listener.ora, as you can see - the SID in the listener matches the SID of the TNSNAMEs.  , But my question is - how the listener is forcing a connection related to RED to a process running as a GREEN to BLUE and ORANGE? Help, please!  Here's the listener.ora:

  • Is Oracle client process bind / even with a DB process or sqlplus?

Sorry to ask such a simple thing, but I got confused.

    I can't find the customer Oracle on Oracle 11.1 g 32-bit process.

Its oracle32.exe sed, but which is related to each DB created running the service.
Yet, even if I close all DB Services, listener, recovery therefore have not Service Oracle or Procces on my host.
I can still connect to the DB SQL Plus or another host system or my API. But I have no process running at all on my host Oracle!

This gives a hypothesis that is
    1. the customer Oracle process is a hidden somesort process
    2. the process of customer Oracle turned along the SQLplus (I start it Directory Client form)
3 SQLPlus using another host Client to connect to the database (cannot be since I use my customers tsnames.ora netservice name I put)

    In fact, what is true?

I connect to another host with
    sqlpus system @ < service_name on client tsnames.ora of my host >

This gives a hypothesis that is
    1. the customer Oracle process is a hidden somesort process
    2. the process of customer Oracle turned along the SQLplus (I start it Directory Client form)

SQLPLUS itself is the customer to connect to Oracle databases.

    >

3 SQLPlus using another host Client to connect to the database (cannot be since I use my customers tsnames.ora netservice name I put)

SQLPLUS uses the tnsnames.ora file under % ORACLE_HOME%/network/admin, on the same server, it is installed, to solve the TNS alias provided on the command line

    >

Its oracle32.exe sed, but which is related to each DB created running the service.

I can still connect to the DB SQL Plus or another host system or my API. But I have no process running at all on my host Oracle!

It is because even if you stop all the Oracle server database treats (oracle.exe, lisntener services, etc.) on your server, you can still use your client (sqlplus) to conncet to the servers running on other machines using the AMT.

    hope that helps, really :)

  • Oracle multithreaded process Proc * C impasse

    Hello

I have a multithreaded (10 sons) in Pro * C process, which quickly changes/deletions of data in a particular table (30 rows k) at the rate of almost 300 times per second. This results in a blockage in my alert log.

I have increased by 10 to 80 inittrans and the first measure of 10 MB to 100 MB. Also pctfree % has been increased to 60 percent, from 20 percent, but there are still blockages.

What else can I do to solve this problem.

    Kind regards
    Karan

    Karan,

In most cases, the blockages are caused by the application. In your case, it is likely that a single thread does something that blocks another thread, but this second thread is something that blocks the first.

The trace file that is produced for the impasse will explain what is really happening
