  My colleague and I have tried to use the Oracle Report Builder to replace our existing report builder of our ERP system. We have already created the report in Report Builder from the suite of development.
  
  What we are looking for is a similar solution such as Microsoft reporting services;
  (1) create models of corporate report
  (2) and then download the template files to a location (for example, the folder on the server)
  (3) then all users in the company can access it through a web browser with a few fields which they can enter certain critiria (e.g. order number).
  (4) then send it to the printer and print out must stand exactly as the model.
  
  
  Unfortunately, we had very hard time trying to find out what it takes and how to publish this report in Oracle we have created. We spent 15 hours on it, but no results.
  
  15 hours we tried to install the 'Oracle' service, but finally, my colleague said that it was not what we are looking for you, "report Oracle service" is used to the error of the hosted application on the server, not to publish the report of company created by the "Oracle report bulider.
  
  
  We use Oracle Database 10 g for the LES quite a long time already. We had setup the Oracle Developer and the installed Application Server.
  
  Could someone tell us please what kind of service Oracle we are looking actually. Other guides any suggestion and installation are also the most welcoming.

  The scenario, I am faced with difficult to implement is as below
  
  I have a normal picture inside that I have an image (poster title) and an extensible framework (which displays the data).
  
  My intention is not not for nothing (hide outer frame) display when there is no data in the extensible framework.
  
  I tried below.
  
  1. creates a summary field (sum_first) with the service as a "first."
  2A inside the front report layout of trigger, checked whether the sum_first don't is not null then would be true is false else.
  
  The problem here is that the query used for this image will be repeated for the query that runs out as different block. I therefore need clear the value of the field summary for each run. This means that the extensible framework would be repeated whenever this query is triggered, we would have this pattern repeated several times in a page.
  
  Tried to reset the summary of the page instead of to the report. But it is wrong outside.
  
  Can someone help me how to get there

• How to display different text for the labels in group above report Oracle report

  Is there a way to change the text that is displayed in the labels in a report over the Group? For example, I have a report above group with my columns of data and above the columns, I have my column labels, but I would like to be able to display various text, i.e. different labels according to requirement. In other words, Column1 label could say column 1 or it's Column1, based on a condition. This is Oracle Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2.

  If you use the wizard the column headers are created as fixed text elements. No way to change that.
  So, you have to delete text and replace by fields that use some of the columns in your data as the source model. This is how I create reports all the time. There is never any fixed text, all the text is retrieved in the data model.

  You can also use the format trigger. Simply place the elements of different text on top of the other and return TRUE or FALSE to display the correct label.

  Does anyone know how to insert an image(gif/jpeg) into an oracle report without using OLE object or file link?
  I have some examples of reports with the images on the page layout. I am able to copy - paste a picture of a provision to another. But, not other images which are not at all in relation to page layout.
  
  I tried to copy - paste paint to the presentation of the report, the option paste is enabled but does not work.

• What is the problem with my Oracle reports parameter?

  We use a PL SQL package that allows the user to select the report you want Oracle and associated parameters.   While the control is passed to Oracle 11 g reports.

  The requirement of one of the reports is to enable more detailed codes be selected by the user and then shown.  The detailed code is an alphanumeric field that can hold between 4 and 6 characters.

  If my data model looks like this

  SELECT student_id

      FROM my_view

     WHERE detail_code IN :p_detail_code;

  and the parameter that I'm passing to Oracle reports looks like this (when I view the source HTML code)

  & p_detail_code =('1001','1002')

  so no record is selected.

  However, if my data model looks like this, I get the records you want:

  SELECT student_id

    FROM my_view

  WHERE detail_code IN ('1001', '1002');

  We have Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit Production.

  This isn't how you can use in. See this example on how to solve it with the digital settings. If your setting is a character, you need to change this.

  In fact, when you simply enter 1,2,3 as an input parameter, you actually create this query:

  Select *.

  from my_table

  where num_column in ("1,2,3")

  Use rather a lexical parameter:

  Select *.

  from my_table

  & p_where

  In the parameter after relaxation shape, build the lexical like this:

  :p_where := 'where num_column in ('||:p_param||')';
  

• Weird weird Oracle report

  I'm migrating a character of Oracle EBS 11.0.3 to 11i (11.5.10.2) report.
  
  First, I copied the RDF from the server on my pc windows with the Report Builder and compile it, then run. The report runs very well and it has a good performance.
  But when I put the server and save and run using the Manager of competitor Oracle Apps, the report works well but the Grand Total field is
  If poster not, it seems invisible. All other fields are perfectly displayed this execept. I tried to delete the field and re-create it but still wont appear. I even
  It reproduces (copy and paste to each frame of the report but even duplicate fields are not displayed, I crazy with this dum report:((huhuhuhu.))

  Is there corruption happening when I transfer the RDF? its so crazy thing that all reports work using winscp.

  I don't think that the file is corrupted, you can display the query output file.

  What other command ftp can I used next to windows.

  You have just the binary value as a method and use the command put it to download the file on the server.

  I met a similar problem before and worked around it by moving the query to a pipeline function in the database as described in the unexpected CLAUSE causes ORA-00942 in Report Builder

• Report Builder 6i do not recognize the analytical functions

  Hi all, in an attempt to speed up a slow query, I applied the analytical function to it. I can save the query in the generator without any problem, however, I can't create data between this request and other links. After I have comment on the analytical function, data bindings can be made. My colleague says Report Builder 6i is too old so he can recognize only the ANSI SQL syntax. Since our server DB uses Oracle 10 g 2, is there a way for the generator of reports to identify and compile syntax of Oracle 10 g?

  We just set up and configured Oracle Forms and reports 12 c and begin testing. I created a simple test report in 12 c Builder that returns only 50 rows of data. It works fine in Report Builder.
