  I'm not too familiar with captivate and would like to possibly ready to provide guidance.

  I am creating a screen in a course which is a graph (jpeg) and in the graph, there is 4 areas that are false.  I want to learners to find out all the four questions by clicking on each of them.  When they click on each of them, will receive an image with textual comments (jpeg) and they will also hear a short audio clip.  When the audio is finished, the image should disappear, the learner can then on other possible issues that will work the same way.  There is no notation, there is no restriction to find each number in a specific order, etc.

  I tried to create boxes to click for this, but it does not work... the project never stops for the learner to click on the graph, it just continues and played audio until the learner clicks on anything whatsoever... and never displays text comments (jpeg).

  This makes me wonder how you preview. If you say that you use the type 'Play this slide' preview, that's why. This type of preview is more to simply observe rough (and I don't want to fuck in every sense of the term) calendar. Interactive elements such as click boxes, buttons, and text entry boxes do not work in this type of preview. That's why you see not all comments. (If this is the type of preview you used)

  Well, Yes and no. In that sense, Yes, you could configure things so that a click simply allows the playback head visit another slide or whatever. And on the slide that you visit, you have an image, the user sees. Who could act as your comments. You can also configure the click box with a legend of success or failure to the feedback. They click on the click box or the outer and trigger the legend must be revealed. You can use an image of your choice for the legend. And must not contain text.

• Using boxes to click in a video MP4

  I created a Captivate 8 project using boxes to click for interactivity.  When I publish the project as a MP4, click boxes don't work anymore - the video just plays directly through.  How can I fix it?

  MP4 is a format like videos and video just to watch passive (except the Play/Pause/return orders fast).

  If you want an interactive result you must publish in an interactive format: SWF or HTML, but never in a video format.

  If your program is first items 10

  a. you are in help for first items 11, not 10, and his description of the Action/music bar tab.

  In first 10, chronology workspace Elements, see Audio Tools (speaker icon) above the timeline and his choice of SmartSound.

• Is it possible to have TTS for several boxes to click on the same blade?

  Hi all

  Using v.7 and Win 7 here. Have a project where I use the voice of text-to-speech TTS of Paul. So far so good. I need to build an interactive slide with mulitple boxes click so that the learner can evaluate where they run into the status of projects. Is it possible to use the TTS for these mulitple boxes to click on the same blade? I see that you can import audio as a .wav or MP3 file but do not know how generate you TTS and save it separately, then it would be possible to import.

  However, things seem to have changed in Captivate 6. The rdcmndGotoFrame is rdinfoCurrentFrame that jtencul mentioned is not available in the drop-down list.

  I have a slide with 4 boxes of click. 1 box of click, click, it should show the text 1, click box 2 click on it should show the text 2 and so on. I want to slide to pause until the user clicks on the button in the playback bar. The user must be able to take as much time as they want to click and see the hidden text.

  However, what is happening is that when the blade is to expire, or when the user clicks anywhere on the slide goes to the next slide, which does not leave enough time to click on each boxes 4 click and see all the hidden text.

  What would be the measures put forward to achieve this? The tip action apply to each individual click box (requiring a separate tip for each click box action) or the advanced action can be applied to the slide itself?

  Rd variables have been replaced by the variables of cp. So it should be cpCmndGotoFrame = cpInfoCurrentFrame in CP6

  However, you use actions 'simple '? Now I remember that I had to give you the link for the webinars on demand for Captivate (you need to scroll a bit to find my first actions of peak power)

  I explained that if you replace a simple action (on the click box or button, whatever) by a behavior standard with the same statement, the playhead is not released. Perhaps this may solve your current problem?

• The audio when click box is clicked

  I'm puzzled. I thought that adding an audio file to a click box play audio when it was activated, but he plays just the audio when the slide with the clickbox loading. Seems pretty useless. What I need is the ability to have the audio file play only when the click box is clicked. How can I do this? I don't know that one of you Haiti Captivate have a work around.   Hi Jim

  This give a try. Change your click box. Click the Options tab and select the success caption. Close the dialog box click Inbox, and then double-click the legend. Configure it with no text and Transparent. This will keep it projection (if you do not want it). Now, click on the Audio tab and assign the audio clip wished the legend of success. Reject and test. The net result would be that you click on the click box, the invisible text caption appears and plays the audio clip.

  If there is no error 'stand alone' image, it could be a 'global' permission setting bad. You can check here:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste perm and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (3) if the permissions.default.image preference is in bold and "user set" to some value other than 1, right click > reset this preference to restore the default value 1 (note: a value of 2 blocks images;) ( Ref)

  Reload a page with missing images to see if that makes the difference.

  I can't figure this and hoped someone could help me with the code. What I currently have is a map of the world for my books. What I want is to have several hot spots that change the image (map of the world) in five ways.

  1. when the mouse passes over a continent he inverts the image of the continent with a rollover, letting you know that this continent is clickable.

  2. when the mouse leaves the continent he restores the original image of the world map.

  3. When you click on the continent, it inverts an image "zoom in" on the continent.

  4. the image # 3 (zoom-in) remains on the screen until you click. Clicked on it once then returns to the original image (the world map).

  5 when the continent is double-clicked it sends you to another browser with the continent.

  I have all of them except for #4 figure. As soon as the mouse moves out of the hotspot, the "zoom-in" image refers to the original image.

  Notice several things:

  1. I've renamed the images in order to make it easier to work with them (remove spaces the names of path/file & offshore).  I also have their redesign as JPG images that are half the weight of the GIF images that you have.  Images with texture like these should never be saved as GIF or PNG.

  2. I set the mouseover/click on WVadra.  If you click on the image "over" remains fixed.

  What is to do?  Each click on a location must reset the variable turn to other locations.

  What do you think?

• By clicking on the images seems to force trying to open them in the window instead of what they are coded to do.

  At least, I think that this is the case.

  I'm having a problem where if I click on an image which, say, opens on the site Web and widens, it will rather force it to open only in a new tab. He in turn usually always kills the history of the page where you were just in too, so if you click on 'back' (in my case, in general, the same back button does not work, its greyed out so I have to re - search history manually.) it will send you back to the page where you first started.

  And also one more question if it's normal, for a reason for Windows 7 'open with' the function absolutely refuse to read Firefox. If I'm going to go to try to open something with FF, click on the .exe and select, it will not even appear in the box of your choice.
  It however allows me to drag and drop them in the browser, and I was able to do it with a Pale Moon plant.

  I tried without the add-on, and the problem persists. I think it might be a problem of profiles as Pale Moon had no problem until I installed mine. If there is something that anyone might know which will be not involved to redo my complete profile... once again, I'm all ears.

  Sorry, I did further tests when I had the time. It turns out that Download Statusbar (S3) is the issue.

  I don't know what that I have maybe changed, but right-click on any image, gave me the option in the Google search menu for the image. This option is gone.

  This is not a built-in feature. Have you used any of these extensions:

  • https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/imageSearch/
  • https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/GoogleSearch-by-image/

  You might first check the addons page to ensure that it is not disabled. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, off the cluster of extensions at the bottom.

  If it is enabled, it could be a problem with some of the code in the extension is not compatible with Firefox 40, or one other extension it bumping from the context menu.

• Is there a way to by clicking a zoom image to the area you clicked?

  Until recently (unless my memory is completely shot), clicking on an image to see full size would be to center the image around the point on which I clicked. Recently, clicking on a missed to zoom up to the top left corner of the image. It can be a real pain to access the part of the image that I really want to see when I look at a particularly large image. Is it possible to restore the previous behavior?

  This always works for me.
  I just test and horizontal and move automatically vertical scroll bars display the box I clicked when I open a large image (2400 x 2400) from my hard drive.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
