Order of Migration of LCM

What is order to migrate the artifacts of one env to another?

I have 11.1.2.2.00 and the following products:

1 HFM (EPMA)

2. planning (EPMA)

3 EPMA

4. presentation of reports and analysis

5 Calc Manager

6. shared Services

What is the impact of importing Shared Services does the target environment?  For example, replace "admin" password in the target with the source?

I'd EPMA in second because it will contain members for planning/HFM applications and EPMA must be deployed before you import the artifacts of planning/HFM.

  • Is it possible to do a migration of LCM between 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.4 to EMP?

    Hi all

Is it possible to do a migration of LCM between 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.4 to EMP?

    Thank you.

As I said, I didn't take (literally) the product formerly Analyzer since 2001, but what I remember was to create a connection to a database and then the construction of reports in this regard. I'm going to guess that WA has not changed that much.

The error message that you noted:

org.springframework.dao.DataAccessException: error creating object of essbase database.

This error would not exist if this database connection (well, I'm probably using the wrong terminology, but you get the idea) existed on the target before the migration.

It could also be useful to check the Support of Oracle to see if this is a known issue.

    Kind regards

  • Migration using LCM

    Hello

I need to make a copy of the existing application on the same server. I did the following.

    (1) right click on the application in the library of the app and doublonnait-> new name.
    (2) deployed the application giving a new DSN
    (3) on the SSP, LCM, migrate all objects in a file and imported into the new application.

Now, the NEW application does not games of the rule or the rule in. There calc scripts, but not the BR I tried several times but could not get the problem.

    Help, please!

  • Migration of LCM - Instance name?  Shared services project name? Data source?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Situation
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    * We have hyperion 11.1.1.3.24
    * Objective - trying to migrate files LCM of our DEV to UAT environment
    * DEV LDCS alone has enabled planning application ("budget"), little EN reports & other related artifacts.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Up to now
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    * Successfully exported these 4 (EPMA, shared services, planning & EN) of our DEV
    * When you try to import EPMA in our UAT, noticed that the State indicates failure. (Notice how claims have been reported in other posts as well.)

Another dilemma that I have what should I write on the name of the Instance, the name of the Shared services project & the data source.

    * Instance name = >? I'm not sure. How to find it?
    * Shared services project = > have not created one at all. Thus, those who do I use OR how do I know this?
    * Data Source = > I guess, it would be the name of EPMA repository database?

Although I can migrate all the artifacts in our (the same as our DEV) UAT, Migration status showed as "failed". Is this due to the fact that I jumped Destination options with empty values (for example, shared services and data source). Has anyone ever had success on this stage of the Migration.

OR should I simply ignore this state of migration, because we can see all of the identical artifacts in our UAT.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you connect EPMA and choose an application and select deploy (don't worry, you don't have to deploy, you can cancel it until you do).
It displays a popup that will be the
Name of the instance (usually the default), Shared Services project (drop-down menu displays the groups of different applications available), the Data Source (this is the name you gave when you created the source of application data)

  • Migration of LCM - unable to see 'Planning Applications Dev' under 'Group App'

    -Situation-
    * We have hyperion 11.1.1.3.24
    * Objective i - trying to migrate files LCM of our DEV to UAT environment
    * DEV LDCS alone has enabled planning application ("budget"), little EN reports & other related artifacts.

    -This day-
    * Successfully exported these 4 (shared services, EPMA, Planning & EN) of our DEV
    * 2 first IMPORTED (Shared services, EPMA).
    * Although the migration status indicates failed in my case, noticed all of the artifacts have been migrated successfully. (As noticed claims reported in other posts as well.)

But I'm stuck on the third market, planning to import artifacts. Since then, I do not see 'Planning applications for Dev' under 'Group of Application' (in the shared services console).

What I would do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[what I create new Application planning under the same name 'Budget' in our UAT and start run import?]

Are you created the application group in shared services, it does not exist by default.
Your planning applications must have been against another group of applications, developing them until you plan to apps.
You can then create an application group and planning applications to move him.

  • Migration of LCM - 11.1.2.2

    Hello

Is there a way I can copy all of the artifacts of EPMA planning from one application to another in the same environment in 11.1.2.2 using LCM?

    Kind regards
    Brig.

In the application library, select the source application and select duplicate as new application to copy the application, set the order of performance, then deploy it by using a new data source.
And in Shared Services, select the source of planning an application, select all, to export.
Select the export of FCL in SSP under the file system folder, select all, import, select the new application of planning.
You can also to think of security which can also be done using LCM, before you run the planning import

  • Groups, users, and Provisioning information Migration using LCM

    Hi all

I need to migrate groups, users and their configuration information from one application to another application with dev server itself. Can someone tell me how can I do this using LCM. I'm getting confused in the options available under applications-> Foundation groups-> Shared Services in LCM.
There are many options available as the native directory
    Groups a) (b) users) c d) Native directory roles->-> assigned roles planning-> "App name".

So, what options to choose to migrate groups, users and their configuration information.

2ndly the application names are different because they are on the same server. In what files I need to change the name of the application (files will be created just by making export FCL like Group.csv etc)

I'm working on 11.1.1.3 version. My requests are classic planning apps.

    Thank you
    Ashu

It is possible to copy the provision by right-clicking a Shared Services planning application and select "Copy Provisioning" and then select the application to copy the commissioning to.

If you want to do through LCM > Foundation > Shared Services > native Directory > planning > PlanningAppName

ExportSecurity/ImportSecurity planning utilities are only for export/import of planning permissions.
This can be done using LCM > select the planning application > Security > access permissions

  • Bulleted lists do not migrate with LCM

We are on 11.1.1.3 and migrate our Prod to dev. However for some reason any Smart Lists are not properly migrate in EPMA. When we goto forms that we always get numbers instead of the desired text (smart list). In EPMA, everything looks good. Any ideas on what to do here?

Check the evaluation order and make sure that the dimension that contains the Smart Lists is drawn through to the right.

  • Shared Services security during the migration of LCM 11.1.2.1

I'm migrating a 1 environment to another planning application.

I remember vaguely (from some presentation) that once I export Shared security service that I need to edit the file to reflect the correct name of the Essbase server and import the Shared service security file.

This is a mandatory step? If so should which file I edit? It's just listing.xml or any other file as well?

Yet you still didn't give any point, oh well.

  • Can LCM migrate the contents of the data of the FDMEE established between environments?

In the version on FDMEE site, I have a question about the capacities of migration of LCM.

For example, say I had a year of historical data I wanted to import. I saw this in FDMEE in Test, am now satisfied results in Essbase. I now want to spend both Essbase and the FDMEE data (to preserve the capacity of drilling) staged production. (By data staged, I mean the ) records that are visible in the screen of Workbench of FDMEE).

LCM does support it, or support only migrate the objects? I guess that if all the objects, I would need to reload all the data in FDMEE in Prod, in turn, re - push all data into Essbase in Prod?

    Hope my question is simple,

    Thank you

LCM does not migrate the data FDMEE in the current version.

Is your fresh production environment env, so you did not work with FDMEE?

You have to build your own migration to move data using SQL. Another option would be to re - load all data. That would ensure that all of your internal identifiers conform.

  • LCM Migration error

    Hi all

We are facing a serious problem of migration using LCM. We have made some changes in the Production and wanted to return to development. (It works be it here). I tried using LCM using shared workspace services and executed migration. I copied this particular file each for shared services and planning app in the folder Import & Export the target environment and run migration again.
This resulted in it with some mistakes to learn calc scripts scripts and report dint migrate with errror blah blah.
When I opened the web Planning, I see new forms in the list of forms. but when I click on open, it says 'error occurred '.
Its the same thing when I opened the dimensions and everything.
and to my heart attack, I could not even open the AppWizard Wizard by web, it even says 'error occurred '. What is now that I can do to achieve this?
All my plans corrupt db? I thought that I could at least get the app by using app Wizard by pointing out to the new DB. given my AppWizard went, what can I do now?

    Please suggest.

I guess that you have restarted the service application web planning.
If it's good for the dev to be a mirror of prod, it would be less painful to try to restore the relational db for dev.

  • Migrate the Service sharing user/group in 11.1.2 release

    Hello

I need to migrate my users and groups set up in service shared (from DEVELOPMENT to PRODUCTION) in Hyperion 11.1.2 release.
In the previous version, I used utility import/export of css, but in version 11.1.2 I know OpenLDAP finally fall down and replaced with RDBMS (thanks John for your great blog!).

I need a confirmation that, in order to migrate successfully (without the use of LCM), another option would be to copy / relational tables form the shared service (css * tables)

I thank you and appreciate your comments!

    RGS,
    Robert

Why you want to use LCM? It would be a much safer option than to try to copy the tables that security is led ID and may differ between environments.

  • Migration of BR between env

    Hello

Can you please let me know how I can spend BR planning STAGE a DEV. My concern is the planning application name is different between the STAGE and DEV and the database names are the same within the application.

I am aware of the export and import process and make changes to the location.  Can you please let me know if I had informed of all other changes since the name of the application is different between the approx.

    Thanks for your help.

This is probably to have a look through the following post and any responses because it covers migration using LCM and direct import/export between different applications - Re: not able to migrate Manager Calc of business rule from one Application to another Application using the LCM Migration

  • Migration control

I remember seeing an earlier version of SQLcl which included an order of migration.

We work on the automation of our database change scripts and could have been useful.

I don't see this command in the latest version.  A I imagine, or if something has taken its place?

This isn't in SQLcl (sql.exe), but rather of the SQL Command Line Interface (now called via sdcli.exe) developer who predates SQLcl: http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2013/07/sql-developer-4-0-and-the-command-line-interface-cli/

Here is the list of features, it manages currently in 4.1.1.
