order of photo for slideshow

I have a directory of 300 pictures, numbered 1-300, which are in the order that I want that they... they are not in order of date at all.   How can I keep my order when you pull in the Organizer in the elements for the creation of slideshow?

a related topic... a batch utility renumbering in the elements?

Hello

I'm not too clear on how numbered photos. If you just rename each photo with the number then it could be a problem in ordering photos to post-secondary studies. In EPS, the folder view displays photos in order alphabetical order.

Thus, the photos could appear in a different order: -.

CNC: 1, 2, 10, 20

In alphabetical order: 1, 2, 10 and 20

To rename pictures, in order to preserve order for other viewers, it is best to use leading zeros to fill each digit (for example 001, 020, 300).

To get their PSE int, simply to get photos and videos -> files and folders and point to the folder that contains the photos. Note that obtaining the photos does not have a copy of the photos, he catalogues just them.

Once they have been imported, go to the location of the folder in the options display (in the upper right) and select the folder where your photos are. If you have the right to appoint, the pictures should appear in the correct order.

Now, create a tag Album and apply all the photos.

You can now switch to thumbnail view in display options (my opinion preferred to work in) and if you select the tag from the album, the pictures should appear in the correct order. For the album, you can drag photos around in the desired order.

When you want to create your slide show, simply select all the photos in the album.

Personally, I don't bother renaming pictures, I just import them in PSE and select the ones I want and allocate a tag album their. For the album, I have then move the photos in the order I want and then create the slide show.

For you last topic, why you want to renumber the photos? There is the ease of export which allows you to copy photos to a new folder and you can ask a sequence number.

I hope that the above was helpful

First, back up your library of Photos and hold down the command and option keys while launching Photos - repair your database - you have a corrupted database

  • How to keep the order of photos in an album for a pound of apples

How to maintain the order of photos in an album when moving pictures to create a notebook from Apple?    They are placed in the book of the order of date, but a lot of my photos are scanned and have nothing to do with the date of the photo.  I use version 1.3 of Photo with iOS 10.11.3. I have read the previous assignments and fail to follow the suggestions that they seem to have apply to older versions of picture (iPhoto).   Thank you

Adjust the dates of your photos with "Image > setting Date and Time", as well as the date of the photos match the order desired.

It was possible to select all the photos in an album in iPhoto 1.0 and then use ' file > Create book "and the pictures would be displayed in the book on the order that have been put in the book, but that does not work reliably.

You can also start with a blank book and drag the photos of book one - by - one in the order of your choice.

In other words, what I'm doing anyway.  I start with a blank book and add the photo I'm going from several albums. I create an album separate for each section and drag only the photos for the next pages of the book, so I can put it on the pages I want.

  • How we prevent 90 GB of photos for iphone sync

    Hello

I don't know that I'm not the only person having this problem.

Seen taking pictures of the last 10 years, I decided to migrate to iCloud, keeping my photos in the cloud and their management through the Photos on my Mac. So far so good. Everything works as expected.

So, I have 90 GB of photos. Not much for the mac. But if I turn on iCloud Photolibrary on my iphone, it will fill up with the photos that I rarely use. Also, I can't afford a 128 GB iPhone just to travel through the photos that I rarely use.

If I DON'T turn on iCloud PhotoLibrary, I have no access to my photo library (it's kind of obvious of course), but every picture I take live and die on the iPhone (and in the Gallery of photos for 30 days) and the only way to synchronize them with the mac is to attach a cable to the phone. Really? During 2016? Where everything is cloud?

Is there a better solution than this all or nothing? For example, store only a thumbnail of each photo on the phone, then the phone will automatically download them on a per-photo basis when you access?

I mean, imagine that you have a 16Gb iPhone. You won't be able to use it with the iCloud except if you only take af a few photos and almost no videos.

Thanks for any idea about that

    Best

    Björn

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

In most cases, optimize your photos should be enough to raise the space related issues on your device. However, if you have an exceptionally large library you may need to disable iCloud photo library on your mobile device and use instead the photo stream. You can then use a computer to manage the photo stream photos and have them automatically imported into you iCloud photo library.

  • How to change the order of photos in pictures

Hello.  I am using Photos and my photos currently appear in the order that they were imported to the Photos.  I would like my photos to be displayed in order of the date they have been taken.  Any idea on how to achieve this?  Thank you!

The Photo Album is intended to display the photos. In order, they were imported. Use a different view to sort by capture date _ the moments or collections or an entire album.

Or you can set your own album of Photos of all my creating a smart album with a rule that is satisfied by all the photos, for example.  Date is later to...

  • Using pictures of Yosemite 1.0.1 I created a 400 photo album. I custom sort them. When I copy a USB to share with friends my custom sort is lost. Is it possible to maintain the current order of photo on a USB?

Using pictures of Yosemite 1.0.1 I created a 400 photo album. I custom sort them. When I copy a USB to share with friends my custom sort is lost. Is it possible to maintain the current order of photo on a USB?

Of course, not as the sorting, the viewer sees is defined by them not by you - given the same USB you can use the finder to display in alphabetical order, last updated order etc. size - files have no command - the viewer defines the order

You can select Photos and export using a file for sequential access to export name so if the Viewer uses an alpha sort they correspond to your order desired - you can facilitate this, but they must define their queue viewer correctly for them to see it as you wish

  • Missing originals after copying photos for a new mac external HARD disk library. How to fix this?

Move the library of photos hosted on an external HARD during a new mac disc.

I can open the app and import new pictures, but I can't change any of my previous photos because he complains that the original is not found. The "Use as system library" button is gray which implies that the current library of photos on the new mac is defined as the system library.

I still have access to the external HARD drive that I imported a couple hundred new photos for the new mac.

    How can I fix?

How did you set up your library.  You use a library "referenced"?

If Yes, then you have lost the links with the original files.

You have the iCloud library enabled in the preferences of the iCloud photo Panel?

  • photos for mac suddenly acting as first opening

I use Photos on my iMac to work without problem since it has been updated since iPhoto. However, today when I opened the Photos, I was greeted with a welcome screen as if I had never used before! My Photos 9 GB library is always in the users > pictures in the folder where it has always been, so I clicked the Get Started button on the Welcome screen to see if maybe it would be just re - import library. After several minutes of nothing that appears to be happening, I Force Quit on Photos and restarted. This time I checked to see if I could file > import library, but all the options are greyed out.

I opened the disk utility and repair permissions in the hope that might help, but when I opened the Photos I was greeted with the same welcome screen.

I'm not one of those photos for iCloud synchronization at this time.  Any thoughts? Thank you!

Double click on the photo library to open it - what happens exactly?

  • where to download photos for Mac (instead of iPhoto)

I guess I'll have to go to El Capitan, so I can use photos for Mac instead of iPhoto I crashes.

  • Order of photo - lack page map book

I recently ordered a photo book - I did several times with several books of photos before without any problem. This time the two copies of the book came with the blank map page. It's never happened before. Because the book erased when I ordered it page-by-page and the map page was marked not as a problem, I don't think that the problem comes from my computer. It has something to do with photo book printing. I couldn't find anywhere else to post my question. I hope someone can direct me to whom I have to contact to ask questions about how books reproduced with the included map page.

Contact support Apple - their contact is in the order acceptance e-mail you received on your account - in the Photos menu == > Print Store account and then on your orders

  • When you create a calendar in Photos for Mac, I can't work on the use of more than one Photo per month

I created a calendar using Photos for Mac (picture 1,5).

However, I can't create each month using several photos. It is the first calendar, I've done since the change of iPhoto pictures. I know I used to be able to choose various options for layout, including several photos in iPhoto. I just hope that it is something simple that I forgot.

    Thanks in advance.

Right-click on a photo placed and select layout options - you have options from one to seven photos here

  • Can see, but can not access, photos of iPhotos migrate Photos for Mac

    Hello

I transferred my my former (white) mac's iPhoto library to my new Macbook Air. I now see my iPhotos on Photos of Mac, but I'm unable to export or share (nothing happens if I click on these options), or even copy and paste. If I try to contact by e-mail or page that they do not appear on my photos via the Finder (but I can see more recent pictures no iPhotos initially). So basically I can see them, but can do something with them.

    Everyone knows about this problem?

If this does not occur, my only thought as to what this may be the case is due to an error in the migration? I have now installed Library upgrade on my new Mac (I think I was already use when migrating on the old Mac but don't remember the details), but so that he can see my iPhotos library, it is grayed out, so I can't try and apply the upgrade to the library via new Mac. So I'm stuck again. (if it's the solution, I'm not sure it's..)

Does anyone have any ideas what is the problem and how to fix? Where is possible it's just a failure of Apple/iphotos old photos have no Photos for Mac features?

    Thank you!!

    It certainly has the feature.

Have you tried to repair the library: back to the top and then press the command and option (or alt) keys all by launching Photos. The dialog that allows you to rebuild.
