• Video application in Surface

  I recently bought 'Yes, Prime Minister' through the video store. On my Xbox 6 episodes are available to view, however on my Surface of only 2 are available for display. I tried the option "restore purchases" without result. Please can you explain whether it is deliberate or if there is a solution.

  Similarly, if I search for things on my Xbox like Family Guy, it displays series to buy, however family guy does not appear in a search on the Surface under the video application. I prefer to buy through the Surface because it shows prices in my currency instead of MS Points.

• Why is it not my Microsoft account enough to use the video application?

  When I go in the video application, I am asked to re - enter the password of my Microsoft account. I gives me an option to do that whenever I have activity in the app, no problem, I opted for that. I tried to watch a free video (Xbox video This week), but a screen come to ask my name, address, city, phone number, etc.. Why? I'm not buying anything and I'm already not only in the application with a Microsoft account, I confirmed my password to start.

  If you want to submit feedback about this requirement, you can do so by using the feedback option in the application.

  1. Open the video application
  2. Press the Windows key + C
  3. Select settings
  4. Select your comments
  5. Select a return option and enter your comment/suggestion in the comment box

• Video application crashes at startup

  Using Surface Pro 3 with the latest updates. The video application crashes at launch.  I have two accounts on the machine, on the other account, video application works very well.  I also noticed the same phenomenon occurs on other machines under my account!

  I tried to uninstall and install without help.

  I tried all methods of diagnosis published such as: using the app troubleshooting tool, and then synchronize the licenses of app.

  In the AppData\Local\Packages\ * ZuneVideo * folder, there is only a single file c:\settings.dat under the folder settings. All other folders are empty.

  Can you help me diagnose the problem?

  Thanks for posting your question on the forum.

  According to the description of the problem, the video application crashes under your account and works very well under a different account on the same machine. You also mentioned that the same issue occur on a different machine under your account.

  This means that the problem is with your account only. So, the workaround I suggest you to reset the password for the account and check if this brings any difference.

  It has just been removed from your splash screen. To verify, right-click on an empty area of your start screen (or swipe up from the bottom on a touch screen) to view the toolbar, and then click applications. So here is the video application, you can right-click and select PIN to start and put it back on your splash screen.

  I've been for a long time messing around with the itunes playlist and ipod touch nano 7th generation settings in itunes, but I can not get this job.

  Basically, I have a long list of videos and I want to sort them into folders, playlists or anything similar in this system.

  No idea how I could do this? Now in itunes, I can put all my playlists in y videos, but when transferred to the ipod they just go all together in the movie section

  If it is impossible to achieve with this operating system. Do you know if it is possible to put another third party OS on this product just allow you to do the basic things? Any pointer very appreciated...

  You might be able to reclassify videos like TV Shows and then take advantage of the Organization in the shows and episodes.

  Videos in iMovie theater can be organized into groups, for example, the way apps on iPhone may come across other applications and it allows you to appoint a group to hold these applications?  Or maybe in some other way other than just in newest to oldest?

  You can group the videos in folders in the Finder, but even I know there is no way to do within the iMovie app.  I'm sure someone on this forum will correct me if I'm wrong.

  I have 383 video clips in a folder, they came on the record, when I transferred from my stringing cam, but now I want to change them and put them on a disk, but they are not in order. IE first 19th day of holiday but some clips are at the bottom of the file and say that June 30 is the first, in other words just everything involved, I want to that they in order so that when I drag them to the edit window, they are at the correct date and time sequence, I don't have start by clicking on each of them and looking at the properties and see the date and time , then their numbers as a result, 1 2 3 etc, but I ended up with just a mess, so have essentially just slung the in the video folder, I can access by clicking on documents, then videos, all I want is to get them in the order as fast and simple as possible.

  Windows normally sorts filenames first alphabetically and numerically.

  If you open the folder the videos are in and go... View / details...
  You can choose the Date Modified column and it can sort them.

  To maintain this order for Movie Maker, the files must be
  numbered while in the order you prefer.

  This can be done in a batch...

  Navigate to the folder in which the files are saved... (not in the photo gallery
  but in the actual file)...

  OK when the videos are sorted... Reach... Edition / select all... Right-click
  the first video in the selected list and choose... Rename... to enter a
  a descriptive word for the Group and the number (10001)... do not forget the
  extension (.?) is included... leaving a space between the last
  letter and the first parenthesis.

  Birthday (10001). ???

  When you press on... Come in... Windows should rename other
  files. If it works as it should... When you import into Movie Maker...
  the files will be in order.

  You can check the problems caused by the recent updates of Flash and try these:

• BlackBerry smartphones to organize videos into folders BB 9720

  Just a a 9720 - on my micro SD memory card, photos and videos are arranged in folders on the card - as seen if I look at the map in "files" on the phone, or when connected to my PC in 'Windows explorer '.

  On my old 9320 Phone showed those files and you click on them to see the pictures/videos.

  However, on 9720, only the library of Photos shows the folders. Although it is still in folders on the memory card, when I click the icon of the video media, just displays all the videos together, does not show again all files at all, much less sorted in folders. All the videos are there, just not sorted into folders.

  How can I get YouTube videos to show that on issues like the photo, organized as they are on the real map?

  Well, replying to my own posts again... If only in this forum

  Seems you can't add video files (although of course I had them in my old 9320!)
  , some responses I got in some other more vocal forums!

  God only knows why BB design the operating system so that you cannot produce your videos - silly uttery! I mean, a crazy decision.

  But if I find a way I will post any advantage as usual

  I hope that someone will get there before me and post a reply with a way to do it!

• Windows 7 changes the screen resolution when video applications go full screen.

  When I have plenty of screen some video players, that the resolution of the screen on just the ordinary 1080 p 1080 p (native) that has a refresh rate of 60 hz. As soon as I exit full screen it activates again. Would be nice but when it switches the screen is no longer fits the screen and the user interface looks very grainy, the video actually looks very good. Windows Media Player 12 for this, while VLC does not, which leads me to believe its something to do with the way that Windows Media Player makes video (which I think it uses Direct x, which uses VLC OpenGL).  I have this problem on my computer and my brothers computer I customized built. The specifications are very similar, other that my computer has an Nvidia GTS 250, and has a Nvidia GTX 275.  Is there anyway to stop it from doing this?

  Just in case people always have a problem with this problem, pls here's a solution that worked for me...

  I spent the last month trying to solve this problem, and "youemailme" (another thread here) had the correct solution for me! And so Simple!

  I noticed on Blogs that this problem has existed for at least Win98 is not your computer or your operating system.

  The question seems to be programs in your Menu has a different screen resolution to set startup, thereby causing the screen resolution change when you start your computer. This isn't a MicroSoft program error, but rather a question of "settings".

  With me, what worked were 2 things:

  (1) perform the 'clean boot process' as advised by many to determine which granted software was causing the problem... and then.

  (2) right click on the name of the program (as discovered in above) 'problem' in the Start Menu > properties > compatibility.  For some reason, there is an option to "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution", which has been verified.  This program was in the startup folder and the cause of the problem.  Then unchecked the resolution box. No problem.

  In my view, there are a large number of people dealing with this exact problem. I hope that this process of step 2 could solve their problems.

  (ps, just thinking about it now, you might not even bother with the 'clean boot process' but simply go through all your programs in your Start Menu and run the 2nd step explained above. Should work?)
