  I've updated my MacBook Pro at El Capitan and my wife Airbook.

  We both use the classic layout in Mail.

  After the update my Mail shows the message in my message in the message list a list (as it always does) I use this option so I don't have to double-click Mail and open it in a window separate to read.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  I see that your wife's Mac shows the display of the message during the classic presentation.  As you can see the small circle at the bottom of the screen, indicating that the screen has been pushed all the way down, eliminating the part look at a message.  Simply click, hold and drag the symbol upwards to bring this part of the Mail window.

  How to remove the Mail from the saved state:

  1. Force quit Mail app ('Application is not responding do not"question!).
  2. Go to the Finder.
  3. Hold the Option key and select 'library' in the menu 'go. '
  4. Go to the folder 'containers > com.apple.mail > data > library > state saved application' and move the folder called "com.apple.mail.savedState" to the trash.
  5. Empty the trash.
  6. Restart your Mac.
  7. Mail recovery.

• Calculator does not display numbers entered

  My 0.e + 0 to see the calculator to display and will not take any entries numbers; any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix?

  In fact, it helped solve other questions and put me in the position to find the problem.  The icon in the Quick Launch bar has been altered somehow and throwing a bad version of the calculator.  Open the Accessories folder works, so I ended up delete my quick launch icon and then sent a new desktop.  It works fine now.  Thank you.

• Mail does not display the mailbox

  After a few computer problems, I wiped my own PowerMac and started from scratch with a clean install of El Capitan.  I have half a dozen emails, and trying to think ahead, I made a backup of the Mail folder that is located in the library of the 'hidden' user (where it maintains pressed press Option key to access the library under the Go menu folder).

  After that cleaning installed, I got my mail folder backup and he PLOPPED in my user library hidden and shot to the top of Mail, hoping that I would find my accounts of half dozen e-mail waiting for me.   Click the sent items folder > view > current view > show all messages

  I managed to install a certificate from encryption of electronic mail on my Mac running OS X 10.11.4 but when I get an encrypted email and I open it in Mail it does not display security status, so there is no way of knowing that it is actually an encrypted email.  Enamel appears encrypted and signed icon on my iPhone and iPad with the installed certificates.  What configuration change I'm supposed to do to make this work/display correctly on Mac.

  If I delete the certificates then I get an e-mail with the attachment smile.p7m.

  I tried a bunch of different searches on the internet without a little luck to find how to fix.

  S/MIME support seems to be broken in the current version of mail. I don't know of a workaround and I don't know when it will be fixed.
