  • How to resize a dynamic image to fit rectangle

Hi - I have a series of small rectangles that I create dynamically using this:

    var s = sym.createChildSymbol ("example", "Stage");

    s.$("smallpic"). CSS({"background-image":"URL('"+example+"')"});)

works well - but how do I automatically resize the background picture to the size of my rectangle (this example is 'smallpic')

    Hi, skotch99-

Try to use the CSS background-size property.  There are many options to size your image to fit your container.

    Thanks in advance

    Yes.

Pressing the Tab key usually strives to restore the panels.  F cycles through the modes of the screen.

If this fails, click on the workspace name in the upper right. Essentials - for example. A drop down menu opens. Select "Reset Essentials".

Reset works when you make a mess of the space working wonders and want everything back in place.

What is the exact name of the viewer you are using?

If you are referring to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer... it made
not a resizing function. You can zoom in to look at one, but that
cannot be saved. It has a rotate option and that
    must be permanent.

If you make resize them and rotate in an Image functions
Editing program... the result should be permanently recorded.
Try... Save under... and the modified version of the give a new name.

To resize... the free ImageResizer PowerToy can be very useful:

Click on the following link and the left click of the
    PowerToys tab...

    Windows XP downloads
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Windows-XP

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Download and install: ImageResizer.exe
    (Filename: ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe)
    (does not work on Vista)

Then, you can open any folder containing
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
Choose resize images in the menu. You
can select a picture or an entire group.

The program will place the resized in copies
    the folder with your originals.
(Tip: * never * overwrite your originals)

To ensure that images in both portrait and
landscape orientation are resized to the
    same dimensions... go to... Advanced...
and enter the largest number in these two areas.
IOW... for 600 x 800... Enter 800 in these two areas.

  • MS Paint for Windows 7 resize issue with picture quality reduced

I tried to insert a picture into another picture, like Photoshoping, using paint with limited success.  When I resize the first image to be much smaller, so that I can insert it into the other, this first image quality degrades so I can't use it.  I did not understand that if I was doing the bigger picture and the quality would be lower, but why when smaller?  I read some articles saying the re-sizing degrades the quality regardless of the bigger or smaller.  Is there a way to fix it or work around it?

    Something to try...

Instead of resizing the overlay before adding
in the background photo... try adding full
size and then resize it by dragging the
corner handles to reduce the size.

It would be preferable that the two photos were both
the same resolution. IOW... If you add a 640 x 480
    overlay a background of 2592 x 1944... the difference
in its resolution would be visible.

I was wondering if the task is to add a cutting
(paperdoll) to the main photo? As in... addition of
a missing family member for the family portrait?

  • How to resize pictures to fit the screen without losing the proportions?

I am trying to create a PowerPoint presentation and it will essentially consist of pictures, text and background music.  I want pictures to fill the screen of my computer, so when I'm in 5 items, I go to the Image menu and then Image resize - size and changing the pixel dimensions here.  My monitor is set to 1280 x 1024 pixels and I'm trying to resize my photos at 1280 x 1024, so that they will fill all the screen when you view the PowerPoint presentation.  The problem is that when I go to resize photos, I must leave options maintain Proportions unchecked so that I can freely and manually enter the values I want for both the width and height according to my monitor dimensions.  When my photo is resized by using this method, the proportions will throw off and the picture looks a little funny.  But if I check, select the maintain Proportions, then I won't be able to enter a value for one of the dimensions given that items will automatically appear the other dimension for me.  In this way the proportions look good, but the photo does not completely fill the screen in the way that I want.

Is there some kind of workaround for this kind of catch-22 type of problem?

    Thank you

  • Cropping and resizing occurs - the picture transparency

    Hello!

    PS CS5 12.0.2 64 bit, OSX 10.6

When I resize a single image down (single photo, without layers) using image - resizing or cropping, I get a semitransparent line of 1px width on each side (up and down, right and left). A sample of Sun is attached, moved the img a few pixels to the left and down to better see it.

How can this happen and how do I get rid of this problem?

    Thank you

How can this happen and how do I get rid of this problem?

Like many, sometimes depending on the operations that the user makes and what settings/preferences he or she uses.

To avoid this problem, you could resize a flattened image or value Interpolation of the Image closest neighbor (which would naturally also affect the rest of the pixel content).
