  Won't launch any program on any user account that has parental controls enabled (via admin = ME)! IE, itunes, has even had a few background apps prevented such as COM Surgate, SMBus and a framework any not load.   I use windows 7 and firefox 18.0.2. On my PC, I have my Admin account and my account of children. Now they arrive at an age that they are requiring Internet access for projects and so on, I wonder if I can put parental controls on firefox (by add-on?) as I have on windows, while master's log in to their account, firefox only allows access to what I received. In other words, limit the use of internet ONLY for their account, while I'll still be able to use firefox without restriction. I don't want to use another browser that I ' m not as familiar with just so I can put a parental control over everything on this browser. Any ideas?

  It did the trick. You can restrict any program or browser to their liking. Although I do not have someone else (Microsoft...) do it for me, it works as should be for now. Thank you for your time!

  Okay, so I thought about it and it's ugly and not intuitive.

  The REAL CAUSE of the ROOT of this error is that you CANNOT add a new kid in the Family Safety (FSS) Web site.

  But as a solution, you can add a new kid on the Section of the Windows Phone website My family.

  FIRST STEP remove account the offending child of family on the site of the FSS under the management of the list of the members of the family section. Once this has been completed, follow the workaround below.

  WORKAROUND

  1. Then from the sign of site Web of Windows Phone with your Microsoft Account (MSA) (parent).
  2. Hover over your name just below upper right of the search box and you will get a context box.
  3. In the context box, select My Family.
  4. In the Section My family, you will have two lists. PARENTS and CHILDREN, and especially an ADD A KID to the right of the list headers.

  1. Sign in to your parent account using http://fss.live.com
  2. Click on the account of the child (the one with the question)
  3. Click Web filtering
  4. Uncheck the file block downloads

  Remember that when you have changed your settings, that you update your family safety filter in order to have the last parameters. You can learn more about it by reading the article below.

  I love how you get this error message, and then says that there is no support for this information.  You would think that if MS wrote this error message, they would assume someone would finally get it and need help.  Why I've bothered with this company I have no idea.

  All I want is to get my child HM account work. Ive clicked all this parental control I can find.  If this was the issue of the xbox, Id go immediately to gmail.

  Had the same problem as the rest. All fixed now by:

  Abducted child security account for the family (Instructions in this thread)

  Account and went to outlook.com, let the updates.

  deleted the account from the local computer (Windows 8, users through the control panel * no * new user interface)

  Added and ensure that parental control is back on (it is by default)

  Can access the messages and followed the account. The account I had was old enough and not yet been used.

  I had no problems with the installation, but I found myself with the same result... my daughter cannot connect to hotmail that she gets the same error as you indicate above.

  All you have to do is to go into System Preferences > Parental controls and click on the padlock in the lower left and admin user and password and then click on the device in the lower left corner and disable Parental control for the selected user
